Nice lesson! Correct me if I'm wrong, it appears this technique solves another of my issues. Catching the racquet appears to help squaring shoulders up to the net at follow through, stopping rotation and createng snap, yes?

Yes this is exactly how it’s suppose to work. The shoulders should square early and that’s what will create what everyone loves to call lag. This is actually happening through deceleration at the shoulder area allowing the arm to come through hot and heavy for lack of a better term. I also think the legs are much more important than people realize especially from the baseline, a good swing should start from the ground up.

Having my non dominant hand out messes with my line of sight when tracking the ball. I realize at the point of contact the non dominant hand should be out of the way, but not sure a good way to remedy this.

You just need to stick with it. This is the best way to practice forehands

yet your hips should always be the first motion and so many players are inefficiently not doing that.

Sorry coach but everyone teaching techniques when ball is between knee and thigh heights which is easiest place to hit
But when people try to apply in match ball is high and all the level when things dont work and people become frustated and try some new channel and every channel getting their bussiness runnig.😅
Pleas teach the things which can be applied to every stroke otherwise specify forehand at waist level this things doesnt work for high balls

There is no high ball. You just need to run, get your position and hit the ball strike zone all the time.
