Dankeschön. "Zart, heimlich" - "Tender, secretly". Woher kommt diese Aufnahmen? Ein bissl mehr Geschichte hätte ich gern gewusst - auf jedem Fall dank die Zuschauer husten, weiß ich das es "live" war. I'm seldom impressed by our modern day Tenors to even bother to hear this most luscious piece of Schumann Moonlight through to its concluding tones. Not only but also, I listened repeatedly and the more I heard the more I liked ... except for the turns which could have been smoother and the Crescendo am Schluss. But then, I'm "picky". I'm left with the thought, just how loud shall the contrast be between the "Stille" in the early passages and that little crescendo towards the end. I know its difficult for the tenor mentality not to want to "show off" a little just to let his audience know that he "can" and does have a voice of some weight but when singing Lieder, one has to stay true to the Art, nicht wahr? You don't want to break the magic you created in the first few bars just to kill it for the sake of ego at the end. Not that I am suggesting this is this Tenors intention. It reminded me of another Moon, "Slowly, silently now the moon walks the night in her silver shoon." And for the most part, the pianist did walk us delicately through with his accompanying, gliding a constant path. A lovely blend of art and craft. In total, very enjoyable. Now let it rest for a while and pick it up and work on it again. This piece is full of nuances which you realized and it is not easy to capture and release them into the auditorium. Good luck.
