Thanks! VW Dealer made me an offer on my 9 year old 2013 GTI I couldn't refuse. And no dealer markup on the new one either. They made the upgrade easy.
came here to say this same thing. that car is rock-n-roll; like 80's metal rocking. that car is like what streets of rage 2 would drive if it could have a car.
This swap meet was unreal thank you once again you need to do videos like this more often Just showing what's in the wild is amazing. Thank you MJ quality stuff once again.
4:40 I had the double dragon Tiger Electronics handheld, when I was like 7yrs old. This brought back memories. I totally forgot about it, till I saw them.
Awesome! We have a newborn and during her late night feedings I have been watching old MJR and Reggie pick-ups videos. This is great to see! Hopefully we can get a new hour long pick-ups video sometime in the near future too!
Honestly I was thinking about proposing this to you a few weeks ago when I watched your last pickup video. You and Reggie going on a roadtrip for video games. Nice to see the Johns too. This is so cool!
My brother and I got to see him at this even and talk to metal Jesus for a bit. He was super nice and was more than happy to talk to us. Thanks metal Jesus, always good to see you at the events in Portland. All we got at the time we saw him was a death smiles Xbox360 faceplate.
Over the last 2 weeks I watched all your videos from 7 years a go til now. New sub that has caught up. Love the MJR crew, John x 2, Reggie (absolutely love the guy), older videos with Kels and Kins 🔥 cheers mate 🍺
Haven't been very active but I love you guys man and glad y'all got to go on this cool trip and have fun all in the love of gaming ☺️ without gaming this world would be so DULL keep rocking and kicking ass guys!
Several of these images almost make me cry but because of how beautiful they are, so many memories, so many good feelings, thank you very much Metal Jesus!
Not many of these events in the UK, but the ones we do have are alright. I love the atmosphere more than anything. Not often I am amongst fellow nerds 😂
Hey MJ, great video and great message at the end. I know I definitely feel isolated where I live and don't really have anyone I know who's in to the hobby like I am. Especially with prices rising and garage sales/thrift stores becoming less viable, it's become tough to not be a little disenchanted with everything. I've been hitting up Too Many Games for a few years now though, and it really helps put that spark back in it for me. Definitely one of the things I look forward to most every year!
@@chocolatewheelchair I’ll pick up sort of whatever strikes my fancy if it’s a good deal, so I have at least some games for most consoles. I’d say I’m “focusing” on 360, PS3, Xbox, and a little bit of PSP at the moment though. You?
@@chocolatewheelchair I feel that. Instead of game hunting I’m mostly just working through my backlog these days. I’d rather just save that money for a convention or something at this point
@@gamebuck that’s cool. I think festivals and conventions are coming back to normal soon. All I know is modern gaming is so repetitive and exhausting, I literally only want to play games made before 2007.
I was tempted too by the IIgs and iMac. There was some amazing stuff. I picked up a boxed Super Famicom and a bunch of games then grabbed a Vectrex when I stopped by DoubleJump on the way home. Enjoyed meeting you on Saturday (it was towards the end, I had my three kids and thanked for all your buying guides).
Yes Quest for Fame came out over here in Europe in the 90s for PC aswell. You used a virtual pic and a tennis racket and it worked pretty well for that time.
that Pirates game is the same that came out for multiple platforms in 2004, you likely saw the XBox or PSP version at some point- they are the same version
I think you might love a show down here in SoCal MJR. It's called Frank & Son, in Rowland Heights, CA. About the size of a Costco warehouse maybe a little bigger.

This video makes the world seems right again! My wife is taking me to Vegas in April for the first time, I can't wait to visit some of their game stores.
That Yoda plug n play I had as a kid and loved it! The games are actually incredibly fun haha, loved seeing some footage of them here. It’s been a long time since I’ve played it. Great video!

oh wow test drive 2, I love those rainbird game releases too. Thanks for showing us this stuff, it's cool to see the retro events from the other side of the world. One of my bucket list things to do is flying back to the USA (last time was 2013) and going to seattle and portland for the retro gaming expo and just checking out shops and meeting some other retro gamers from our generation (early 70's) I also want to visit bruce and brandon lee's gravesite at Lake View park in Seattle as I'm a huge fan and was born during the making of enter the dragon, just months before he died.
old arcade manuals are really cool, you can find some online and they're actually really interesting, some tell you exactly how it works...they're amazing.
I immediately recognized that Aerosmith game. I had it on the PC and played the snot out of it back in the day. It had a pack-in wired peripheral pick that you did indeed use to strum against a tennis racket, but I also remember that there was a standalone peripheral that was wireless and let you strum in the air. The game was extremely cheesy in that classic FMV adventure title way, but it was absolutely awesome too.
Your travel videos are easily my favorite! Rock on Metal Jesus \m/ it honestly doesn't feel like the weekend until I'm watching a new MJR video, hope you're enjoying the new Ghost album man lots of love
