That would require some additional development. You would need to add an additional check in theme code for your variant id, and if it's found in cart, then we would adjust the CSS styling to hide the toggle.

This customization would need to extended to add a second upsell to your cart, which isn't that straightforward and certainly not something we can support on through the RUclips comments. Hard to know where things went wrong, but it should work. I suggest installing a fresh new version of your theme as a sandbox area and trying it again. This will help troubleshoot the problem. If you get a different result, then you know there was an error in the installation. If you get the exact same result, then there might be a different issue going on.
We ran into a small problem: when removing the upsell item from the cart the total order value updates accordingly. when adding the upsell product using the toggle, the product appears in the cart but the total order value doesn't update. Also: is there a way to hide the toggle once the customer added the upsell item to the cart to prevent accidental removal of the item by hitting the toggle again? Do you have a patreon page or sth? We'd like to donate a few $ for your work...
Same problem, If you start with a blank cart it adds it and updated the total value and removes the item and cost when toggled off but if it's toggled back on again it adds the item but doesn't update total cost. If my customers are as indecisive as me, it'll be toggled a fair few times and customer could sneakily end up with a free value add

Very helpful tutorial. Can you create a video fix cart page update when adding a product from the featured products section. Cart type Page Add featured products section to cart page and enable quick add. Now when the user adds the product to the cart it is not updating the cart but when you reload the page the added item appears. Also it will be very helpful if you can fix cart page. Cart type - drawer Add product to cart now visit the cart page When you update the cart quantity it updates only cart page items quantity not drawers item. Thank you
This customization was designed for the Shopify developed themes like Dawn, Refresh, Sense, etc. For a third-party/premium theme like Prestige, the code would need to be adapted before it will work properly.
I get this error "There was an error while updating your cart. Please try again." when unselecting the upsell. goes away when selecting toggle on, but comes back when toggling off. Im using V12 of dawn
Unfortunately I haven't tested it on Dawn v12. It might be a version incompatibility issue since this was designed using v14. You could try to run a test on a newer version to see if you get the same error.

I tried it in refresh theme, but the cart-upsell button was not functioning and updating. what would be the issue? I use refresh v15
