  • Welcome to the very first episode of Ediscover-Tea! In this episode, your hosts Jill, Renee, and Becky introduce themselves, share their "relationship status" with the ediscovery industry, and tell the story of how they got into this line of work-and how they met each other.
    In this series, we will dive into the ediscovery world and pull back the curtain on the challenges and pressures many professionals face. In this first episode, we lay the groundwork for future conversations while exploring some of the industry's taboo topics that often go unaddressed and how these dynamics impact relationships, health, and mental well-being. We aim to shed light on the issues while offering practical tips and solutions to improve the work culture.
    Key Takeaways:
    1. Acknowledging the pressures and struggles in the industry;
    2. Discussing how these challenges affect our personal lives and mental health; and
    2. Opening the conversation on boundaries and feeling empowered in a fast-paced environment.

    A breath of fresh air, and honest conversations about the challenges of working in this industry. I think folks just being able to hear this and know that they are not alone, that lots of people experience these same issues will be helpful. Can't wait to see what's next! Some of my favorite people right here! Just really loved it - listened to it while i was working, which was ironic and timely. I am going to post this link in my Teams chat with an intro right now! Cheers and love to all y'all - doing great things here!

    Excellent discussion. Applies to any high pressure job. Several years ago a new coworker told me that her son's school called because he broke his leg. I told her to go to him and was written up for telling her that. Family should come first.

      Thank you so much for your support! We agree - there are so many things that apply across industries. It's incredible that we still live in a time where people are asked to put work above all else, including family. So sorry that happened to you but we salute YOU for doing the right thing, regardless of how those above you reacted.
