Hi Nate Old Key West is our first DVC home which we purchased in 1997. My husband and my picture is hanging in The Community Hall across from the doors. 😊 I love Olivia’s, CM’s are fantastic. The breakfasts are great and if I go for dinner I usually get the chicken..so good!! The boat ride to Disney Springs is really nice too! Glad you enjoyed your time there 😊

I agree on Olivia's. Very underrated. Great prime rib brunch on the weekends. A "sleeper" place to eat. Prices are also decent compared to other resort restaurants.
I’ve been going to Disney since 1971 and YES hard to believe back in the day when you could actually move freely in the parks, the characters just walked around for pics and meeting guests😍those were the days❣️❣️❣️OMG loaded potato soup is THE best soup ever made!!! How can you not love it🥴 Yeah, $519 a night for any room just to sleep one night is just too crazy!!! Sadly that’s not unusual for Disney!

We luv old key west and we usually rent points, we stayed end of January into first part of February and it cost us around $240 a night through renting points
Hi Nate, fellow Scranton guy here. Just wanted to say that I really appreciate your vlogs. Olivia's is a hidden gem. We had our big crew of 8 get dinner on Good Friday about a dozen years ago. We wanted to get fish for the dinner. They had a great deal of seafood for the day. It was great to get over there via boat (stayed at PORFQ). Had some drinks before dinner, had a chance like you to walk about for a while and take in the vibe of the place. We loved it. BTW went to Easter Mass at the Contemporary in the convention center with something like 5,000 of our closet friends. Wow it was awesome.

This is our home resort - we love the resort and Olivia’s ❤️! We sat at that same table back in January. Thank you for bringing us “home” and making us drool over the chicken and potatoes 😋.
We stayed at Old Key West to scout it out and it is expensive but totally worth it. The rooms were great and the amenities were excellent. Our favorite things were the walk up bar, hammocks and the main pool/sauna in the lighthouse. Extremely relaxing resort!
Love when you do resort tours. We were rewatching some of your old videos and just loved how you added music clips. Hope you do that again sometime! Always love your work no matter what you do though!
Hey Kiddo!! I left a comment,but I don't see it,so I probably didn't tap the right button to post,so here goes again!! I can't thank-you enough for posting this. Hubby and I are going to stay at OKW for the first time on 5/6,before we head out to our home resort at WL. We were curious as to how the food will be and you gave us a great review! It will be kinda fun to stay there for two days,as, guess where we live? Yup,we live in the real Key West!!! We have, a couple of times,taken the boat from DS to the small bar there,so we are familiar with that. We haven't brought any patches because our Fire Dept and Police Dept already brought them. They even have a patch from the little town I grew up in on L.I., Deer Park!! The Gurgling Suitcase is based on a bar here in KW called The Chart Room. We usually go there on Friday evenings. I'll take a picture of it and send it to you.It's a tiny hole in the wall place that serves free hot dogs, popcorn and peanuts. There's about 6 bar stools and a couple of tables. It's hard to find,actually tucked into the middle of a high end resort. It was a locals place until TRip Advisor happened. Tourists used to be afraid to go in(it's kinda dark). But now it's mostly tourists and they do get a kick out of the place. Personal thanks for the tour!! Love Ya!!!

Doing a day at DisneySprings with my wife and sister in law for their birthdays. We will be arriving around noon, so my plan was to start at Olivia's since my wife loves breakfast. Then go to the Springs with Dinner at the boat house.

I will be staying at Old Key West in December, I’m looking forward to it. This is gonna be the second time I’ve stayed there. I was on the fence about Olivia‘s but I’m definitely gonna make a reservation to have some of that fried chicken. Thank you for showing me a lot of the amenities, I didn’t check out a lot of the things last time I was there. I’m going to send this to my friend because she will be going with me.

Hi Nate, we enjoy your videos. My family and I love Oliva's. Also, we have 2 pictures hanging on the wall. One is me with my brother and sister in law outside of Japan back when I was 5 , there are 2 other pictures in the same frame outside the entrance of Oliva's . And the other picture is me with my parents, my cousin and The Beast in epcot's international gateway when I was 6 outside of the men's room . And believe or not, You filmed one of our pictures when you ate at Oliva's in 2018 ( The beast picture)! Just awesome! We love the buttermilk Chicken as well! We have been members since 1992.

Disney regular prices have priced many people out! Sad because I used to bring my daughter every year. But as a widowed Mom I can’t afford it anymore. Key West resort looks beautiful. I’ve never been there.

I love this resort and Olivia’s. It’s so underrated and I don’t know why lol Olivia’s use to have the best conch fritters. I hope Disney kept them on the menu!
Sadly, they took them off the menu. 😪 They are now Shrimp Fritters. Doesn't have the same ring to it. I hope someone tries them soon so we can get a review!
Last time I was there Olivia's served a salmon filet that was to die for. It was much tastier than most fish fillets. The seasoning on the outside was what set it apart. The outer layer was crunchy. I don't know how you get a crunchy outer coating on a piece of fish; I have never managed to do it. But they sure do it right at Olivia's. The fish fillet itself was the same as any other piece of salmon, and was great! I am a DVC member and Old Key West is my home resort. I love the place. The rooms are slightly larger than a comparable room at most other resorts.. Especially the Studio rooms. If you aren't alone you will never bump into your partner in the room. The bathroom is huge! As you pointed out, the resort is enormous. But you don't have to walk all the way to the front if your are staying in a building that is at the far back of the property. The Disney Transportation buses go all the way around, so you really only have to sit at a bus stop and eventually a bus will come along. Last time we stayed at OKW, my wife and I played pool in the community center. There is also a laundry near the pool. That is necessary if you stay in a Studio because they don't have laundry machines in the rooms. The washers are really my only complaint about the place. They are (or were when we were there last - January 2022) quite old and in need of repair. But they are free and they cleaned our clothes without damaging anything, so my complaint is really moot.
We stayed there Sept 2020 shortly after the parks reopened. We exchange with RCI and paid for a whole week only $500. We loved it!! We had a 1 bedroom with a full kitchen
I have not been to this resort in a long time, it really is such a pretty resort. I like how a lot of the places are outside, like the gift shop from the lobby!

We never felt like we could afford the moderate and deluxe resorts until we joined DVC a couple of years ago. We are so glad we did! We still haven't stared at all of them, but we did enjoy OKW the one time we did. Another fun video Nate!!
I went to Rix a while back and I thought the pricing was great and the food was incredible! Gotta get the cotton candy cheesecake off the kids menu if you have a sweet tooth like me. It’s over at Corando Springs Resort. I also think it’s the only Disney operated sports bar on property.

Doing a day at DisneySprings with my wife and sister in law for their birthdays. We will be arriving around noon, so my plan was to start at Olivia's since my wife loves breakfast. Then go to the Springs with Dinner at the boat house.

I will be staying at Old Key West in December, I’m looking forward to it. This is gonna be the second time I’ve stayed there. I was on the fence about Olivia‘s but I’m definitely gonna make a reservation to have some of that fried chicken. Thank you for showing me a lot of the amenities, I didn’t check out a lot of the things last time I was there. I’m going to send this to my friend because she will be going with me.

Hi Nate, we enjoy your videos. My family and I love Oliva's. Also, we have 2 pictures hanging on the wall. One is me with my brother and sister in law outside of Japan back when I was 5 , there are 2 other pictures in the same frame outside the entrance of Oliva's . And the other picture is me with my parents, my cousin and The Beast in epcot's international gateway when I was 6 outside of the men's room . And believe or not, You filmed one of our pictures when you ate at Oliva's in 2018 ( The beast picture)! Just awesome! We love the buttermilk Chicken as well! We have been members since 1992.

Disney regular prices have priced many people out! Sad because I used to bring my daughter every year. But as a widowed Mom I can’t afford it anymore. Key West resort looks beautiful. I’ve never been there.

I love this resort and Olivia’s. It’s so underrated and I don’t know why lol Olivia’s use to have the best conch fritters. I hope Disney kept them on the menu!

Sadly, they took them off the menu. 😪 They are now Shrimp Fritters. Doesn't have the same ring to it. I hope someone tries them soon so we can get a review!

Gotta love the original DVC resort. 99% sure it was the first one, plus they have the biggest rooms on property.
Last time I was there Olivia's served a salmon filet that was to die for. It was much tastier than most fish fillets. The seasoning on the outside was what set it apart. The outer layer was crunchy. I don't know how you get a crunchy outer coating on a piece of fish; I have never managed to do it. But they sure do it right at Olivia's. The fish fillet itself was the same as any other piece of salmon, and was great!
I am a DVC member and Old Key West is my home resort. I love the place. The rooms are slightly larger than a comparable room at most other resorts.. Especially the Studio rooms. If you aren't alone you will never bump into your partner in the room. The bathroom is huge! As you pointed out, the resort is enormous. But you don't have to walk all the way to the front if your are staying in a building that is at the far back of the property. The Disney Transportation buses go all the way around, so you really only have to sit at a bus stop and eventually a bus will come along.
Last time we stayed at OKW, my wife and I played pool in the community center. There is also a laundry near the pool. That is necessary if you stay in a Studio because they don't have laundry machines in the rooms. The washers are really my only complaint about the place. They are (or were when we were there last - January 2022) quite old and in need of repair. But they are free and they cleaned our clothes without damaging anything, so my complaint is really moot.
We stayed there Sept 2020 shortly after the parks reopened. We exchange with RCI and paid for a whole week only $500. We loved it!! We had a 1 bedroom with a full kitchen
I have not been to this resort in a long time, it really is such a pretty resort. I like how a lot of the places are outside, like the gift shop from the lobby!

We never felt like we could afford the moderate and deluxe resorts until we joined DVC a couple of years ago. We are so glad we did! We still haven't stared at all of them, but we did enjoy OKW the one time we did. Another fun video Nate!!

I went to Rix a while back and I thought the pricing was great and the food was incredible! Gotta get the cotton candy cheesecake off the kids menu if you have a sweet tooth like me. It’s over at Corando Springs Resort. I also think it’s the only Disney operated sports bar on property.
