You asked about knowing yourself. I’m a very curious 72 year old woman who’s constantly learning ang going into different things. An architect but went into portrait painting, now stock investment, book editing, etc. So you have different facets that define you. A code of ethics, your memories and a body of knowledge that keeps growing and making you more aware and more understanding of what motivates people and how things work. So you of 2010 is similar but not the same to you of 2020. So you never “find yourself “ you evolve and try to make yourself better but ideally that will be so until you die. Learning keeps your mind open and alive.
as a 42 yr old married for 20 years and 3 teenage daughters (😅👵🏻) i am envious of your freedom to travel and have lazy day if you want! 🤣 there’s plus sides to EVERY stage of life!! 💞💞 love these car chats! 🥰
42, married for 20 years, and also have 3 daughters (12, 18, 23) and I completely get what you mean 😂 and it just proves Taylor’s point that there are benefits and positives to every life path regardless of what society says we’re “supposed” to do, someone sees her/our/another’s life and wishes theirs could be the same. So we just gotta enjoy the path we took and the joy it’s brought us!
I am 48, three grown children, 8 grandkids, and work 60+hours…… I am also envious of freedom. I can’t remember the last time I just chilled and BREATHE!! It’s exhausting. I love my family… I miss my rest😊
Same! 42 year old mother of 4. My kids are all almost adults. I was married for 24 years. Divorced now. I can’t wait to live my life when my kids all move out. I wouldn’t trade this time with them for the world but man I can’t wait to get to travel and do the things I want to do and figure out who I am now.
I am 68 with 2 grown and married children. I have 5 grandchildren who are adorable. I am still married to the same man for almost 48 years. Believe it or not I am incredibly happy for he is my best friend. I know that I am blessed and lucky. I don’t have to worry or fret about my children and that is freeing. I still work, but now because I want to and not have to. Every stage of my life brought good and often troubling experiences. In this stage it is hard to see friends and family struggle with the poor health which is inevitable with this age. My father is gone, but my mother is still with us at 97 years. I focus on the good things life brings my way and the here and now. God bless you Taylor and keep you safe. Thank you for allowing us see part of your exciting and FULFILLING life.
I'm 52 & really only started "finding myself" after my dad passed unexpectedly. I started therapy which challenged me. I'm more confident in myself, my choices & my life than ever before. I hope I continue to evolve & learn & live as much life as I can (which looks different for everyone) till I'm gone & in the wind! BTW, my husband and I are a child free family. I felt a ton of pressure to have kids. I feel that unless you REALLY want kids, maturity should be applauded for those who don't. Please don't come for me 😘
Yeah i am in my 30s, and people ask all of the time when i am going to have kids. My husband and i just dont want them, and i find my work extremely fulfilling. It is strange that it's usually middle aged men that ask when i will have them, and then they get really weird when i tell them that I am not going to have them😆
Would never come for this! I am so proud of people for knowing & also standing firm with their wants, despite the societal/biological pressure to create people. I see it more and more in younger people, and it honestly makes me smile. I wish I had known myself more so many years ago. It's never too late to dig and discover. Sorry for the loss of your father.
I’m 37 and I have a 15 year old. People always ask me when I’m having another kid. It’s such a personal question. I don’t understand why even ask, when are you going to get married or have kids? Everyone’s stage of life is different, so many things can factor in. Some people just need to keep those questions to themselves :)
@@Vivian_85 yes to that! I have an 11 year old and I hate the judgement of having an only child. It is our decision how many kids we want. Children don't NEED a sibling! Having kids is certainly not for everyone. If you don't want kids that's your prerogative! Other people need to mind their own damn business.
I’m 50 but my mind feels a lot younger and I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up! I do agree with what you said about people who marry young and probably the wrong person, as that happened to me. I was divorced by 30 and had a freaking blast for many years to follow. Being alone has so many benefits and rewards and everyone should experience it to the point of loving their own company. It’s great to know who you are when you do finally have a relationship. You can only hope that your partner will have had a similar experience. Taylor, you are wise beyond your years and I am so happy to see you thriving and loving yourself ❤
RE: the partner who doesn't want to travel when you do. It's okay to do separate things, I've been married for 30 years and often take trips by myself because its my interest and it's no big deal to either of us. I think if its a solid relationship there should be no problem dong that. I love solo travel!
As someone who deals with debilitating migraines (which knock me out for one or more full days, at least once a week) and chronic pain, I admire your determination and desire to go on these adventures on your own. You are an inspiration to those of us who struggle with chronic and ongoing health problems! We’re with you Taylor
I’m 54 and am finally starting to feel that I have it all figured out. My husband died 4 years ago so that threw me off course, but I feel content now. I retired when my husband got sick so we could do some of his bucket list but I’m thinking of getting a job at Ulta because I love makeup so much. I can’t even imagine going back to work full time, back to my “career”. I just want to play with makeup and meet some nice people. Love you Taylor, so happy to hear everything is happy in your world!
I’m 24 and one of the best things I’ve learned in therapy is how to love my past self. I think of the person I was when I started college, and how much my current self loves and appreciates her for being brave and truly being on her own for the first time. I think of times when I wasn’t a great person and how I’m grateful to not treat people like that anymore. And I think it’s important to do that when you feel bad about the person you are or where you’re at in life.
The blue beanie makes your eyes pop! Love that color on you! I’m 25 and I do not feel like I truly know myself fully asides from my career path (just passed the CPA exam). I want to be sure I take time for myself, travel, and do things that I love to really learn more about myself. Life is short and I especially want to do as much as I can while I’m young!
Yes girl! I’m 30 this year and have 2 kids I ADORE but wish I had done things differently in life before I had them. I was so caught up on the wrong things in life, nothing bad just nothing that mattered. If I could go back I would be much more intentional with my time.
I have the luxury of being one of the oldest subscribers, and am able to look back at my experiences. My no. 1 advice is to take one day at a time, trying to enjoy and feel grateful for the little things in life. The journey is important, but true happiness and contentment comes when you really enjoy day to day living!🖤🖤🖤 And if you are unhappy (job, relationship etc.), don't wait around for things to change. You have to take action and make the changes, even if it seems dramatic. My husband left a lucrative job in business to teach..... a crazy decision, but we loved our life.... and that was 28 years ago!!
Being jaded about online dating actually benefitted me long term. I know that sounds crazy, but hear me out… I went on many bad dates from online apps. Those dates got the best version of me, one who wanted to impress. I had two dates lined up over a weekend. The Saturday date was terrible. Before Sunday’s date, I was feeling so jaded that I told myself I have no reason to impress the Sunday person because it wasn’t going to go anywhere. I went into it without feeling nervous, awkward, or like I needed to impress. I felt I was truly myself on the Sunday date because I took away any expectations. The Sunday date is now my husband of 10 years.
No idea why I feel the need to share: I waited tables from 15-28, and I was always so happy with my solo diners. The vibe tends to be pretty obvious from the start, they want to be left alone, or they want to chat; either way, they were always pleasant and good tippers, and I promise that your server does not mind. Now, I'm a stay at home mom, and my favorite self-care is going out alone for a couple of hours to have some good food and read a few chapters.
Honestly, once you are okay being single, alone, and on your own doing your own thing, ALL of your relationships will improve. It is honestly so true that when you love yourself it's attractive and in turn easier to love others and appreciate without the pressure of "I have to find a partner or else" mentality. Always love these and love you, friend!
I taught archery at a summer camp. It's really really fun. We used very basic recurve bows and that can suck with arm strength issues. If you want to do archery, there are compound bows that take some of that pressure off. So it's entirely possible!
I’m 30 and I don’t think there’s a point that self-discovery ever ends. You’re always learning something new about yourself and we’re always evolving. Over the past few years I’ve really fallen in love with the fact that I will always change and for an anxiety-ridden person who hates change, that thought makes me happy. I lost my mom unexpectedly 6 months ago and I’ve changed more in the last 6 months than the last 29ish years of my life! Being newly in my 30’s, I feel hope for what’s to come ❤ love these videos Taylor! The maturity and wisdom you radiate is amazing!
I’m 46 and still discovering new things about myself all the time. We never stop growing and evolving over our lives so there’s always more to learn. I think what comes with age is confidence and less giving a crap about what others think. I’m loving that part of it!
I started watching 4plus years ago, because my niece also had cystic acne. I have watched every video since because I trust your opinion. I like how down to earth and not dramatic for the sake of it. Thank you .
I love archery- I have a recurve bow (traditional wood one I pull back) BUT I have gone to the range and borrowed a friends compound bow- that has pulleys to help you pull and a trigger to release so may be better option to not trigger pain for you! You can also get a lighter/smaller bow. I find it really zen. Love you and will always have nothing but positive comments to leave for everyone or just keep it to myself this life is hard enough. 🖤
I’m so excited that you’re going to Portugal! My family is from the north of Portugal and I just visited this past summer after over 20 years of not going. There’s a ton to do and see in both Lisbon and Porto. Free walking tours, tons of restaurants, museums, beautiful scenery, boat tours, castles and beaches. Excited for the Portugal vlog!
I’m 45 and whenever I think I know who I am, a new experience or life change teaches me about myself and my world. Journaling, reading and therapy, has really helped in growing and changing.
I’m 56 and still in self discovery mode, I honestly think our life’s purpose changes in different phases of life, I never want to stop learning. Taylor, you are so level headed and it’s fun to live vicariously as you go on your adventures ❤️ Hope 2023 is everything you want it to be and more
This might be the first comment I’ve ever left on your channel, I just don’t think to do things like that. That being said, I started watching you years back when I wanted to find foundations that would cover my acne. Your channel has evolved into something else (just as amazing). You’re one of the only RUclipsrs that I’ve stuck with because you’re so real and relatable. I just want you to know how much I appreciate you.
A couple things, the comment about you feeling jaded and putting off that energy resonated with me! Also 30 and “finding myself” is literally a work in progress always. I feel changing and evolving makes you a better person. You’re showing your willingness to adapt to different times and circumstances in your life. As always, love you and love your vlogs. The new camera is stunning. 🖤
I’m 46 with 2 young kids. I stayed home with them and have been figuring out what I’m doing now that they’re in school and getting older. Life is full of phases during which you rediscover your purpose and who you are - it never stops! And you could totally be a travel agent if you ever scaled back RUclips - with your attention to detail, you’d be fantastic! And you already know how to run a business!
I always find myself saving your videos for when I want to binge watch them with a cup of tea and some cookies (how British of me). I’ve been addicted to your content and even been rewatching some old school shadows and schmoozes to get me by! Been loving the vlogs and can’t wait to see where you travel to next ❤
I do appreciate the insight you give to being single. My daughter is 38. She has a lot going for her, but she avoids dating. In her last relationship, she truly believed she had found true love but he hit her and she had to be rescued from him by my husband, me, her brothers, family friends, etc., as we packed up everything when the guy was at work. Then she was at the Vegas shootings and that totally shook her up pretty hard. She’s afraid of getting hurt again, which I get…but I see how she sort of pulls back from happy couples (one of my sons just got married in November), yet she pushes any men’s attention away, which is definitely challenging for anyone who is single. She’s close to finishing towards her degree in criminal law (she went back to school after the Vegas shootings) in another year. She says she wants kids but won’t date to start towards that goal. I want the very best for her and keep my comments and concerns to myself. Just sincerely want only the best for my daughter. I know she needs to get back to therapy but I do everything I can not to mention it, but it definitely would help her. I know from going to therapy myself how valuable it has been for me.
@@gdeannecampbell1067 so sorry fir the difficult road your daughter is on right now. Heartbreaking for a parent no matter what their age and she has been through quite a lot. Great that you are taking care of you and 🙏🏼 for her ❤
Thank you for the reminder Taylor. I've been single for 3 yrs now after a 6 yr relationship I thought would be my last & have been feeling alone lately. But now I am looking at all the positive things about single life❤
I love these car videos! 39 and have been enjoying your videos for years. You are so wise and still my favorite RUclipsr for keeping it honest! Love you!
As far as knowing yourself and growing up, my take is you're always adjusting to what is happening in your life and, hopefully, continuing to grow as a person. This is not always smooth and linear. I'm 43 and just had a couple years hard growing pains. I expect I'll have more as long as I'm lucky to live. I only hope I've grown enough to see the next phase for what it is and make it through better next time
That’s a great point Taylor about being able to visit ur parents for 2 months straight. My oldest daughter is 23 and I see her 2-3x a week most weeks when she comes by, but they’re quick visits and we luckily live close. If she moved out of state I’d likely only see her for a little bit here and there because we all work full time. Ur so right, when as adults do we get a 2 month “vacation” of sorts with our family? Great perspective!
I’ll be 28 this year and I feel like I’m always learning about myself. I don’t believe I’ll ever fully know myself just because every decade for me is almost a new person. Like I was different in my teen years than from my 20s and now as I approach my 30s I feel like I’m slowly changing again. So I don’t think anyone needs to worry about not finding themselves after a certain age or not knowing what to do with their lives. It takes time ♥️
I am loving your content!! My husband and I talk about it every day (we are 28 living in Kansas) and we wish we would’ve traveled more before settling down and having a baby. Sure we can travel later down the road but it’s so much easier when you’re young and have less ties. Enjoy your time out there in the world! ❤
I’m about to turn 50, and got divorced about a year ago, which I never expected to happen. I’ve learned so much over the past year…when we first split I thought I’d never be able to survive without him, and now I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish on my own. I am so jealous of you though because I want to travel, but my finances are in shambles so I have to live through you. Love you Taylor and keep doing you.
I am the one who felt the pressure to marry and now my son has to go back and forth between my ex and I. Gratefully we split when I was pregnant so my son never heard us fighting. Ty for this, it was really nice. I made an iced coffee and sat down and watched and laughed with you.
I’d just like to pop in and say my parents got divorced when I was like 2 I think(?) and I have a single memory of them married and one of them separated. I am so happy that I was too young to gain any trauma from the divorce itself. I grew up feeling it was totally normal to split my time and since my parents kept it congenial, we all still have a group chat and it’s not weird at all. People often feel sorry for me that my parents are divorced, but I am so thankful they did and didn’t stay together “for the kids”. A bit deep, but I think your son will appreciate it when he’s older!
You are an inspiration to me. I am 42 and married and just starting to travel internationally, Ireland (was so excited to get my first passport stamp) in May and will be in England in a few weeks. My husband doesn’t want to travel. I have went with a friend or two and would totally on my own. I’ve always felt comfortable going out to eat, to a play, etc on my own. I love how you are living your life for you. On another note, the e.l.f. putty brush you like went back on sale for $5 on Amazon again, so I bought 2.
I'm 43, and sometimes I feel like a very old soul who sees things from what I think of as a more mature perspective. Then I switch to feeling like a kid who still needs guidance through life. 😄 I think it's ok to sway with the breeze, just be kind to yourself and keep the thought that even through hard times, things will level out again.
I'm 56 and feel like I'm still discovering myself. Just lost my Mom. Major life experiences that happen througout your life will lead to further self-discovery (and hopefully growth and change). Thank you so much for the positivity you always bring to your channel Taylor. It always helps me and leaves me feeling energized about life xoxo
Hi Taylor, 👋. I'll be 51 yrs old next month, and every day, I find out new and interesting facets of myself, my personality, and my purpose on this planet. It never stops, which is a good thing. And I think it's important to always be learning. Being stagnant for too long is never a good thing. You're doing great!! Can't wait to see what you do and where you go in 2023! 💜
50 year old teacher. We travel all summer and once a month. Live now not just later. Life is now. Love your travel mentality. Self care is how you care for your whole self.
I’m 22 and I’m a student, unemployed at the moment. I’ve suffered from mental illness for a while now, and I feel like I don’t really know who I am because I’ve just been in “survival mode” for the past few years. I hope to find that out someday. I look up to you a lot and admire you for getting out there and trying to live your best life. Your videos are always very calming and entertaining to me, and these kinds of videos feel like I’m chatting with a friend 😌💗
Taylor you are living your best life and there is no “right age” for anything. Right is different for everyone. So glad you are not rushing yourself and just enjoying life ❤ On a completely different note, the colors you are wearing lately make you look so radiant. The light blues, pale grays, pinks and purples.
Taylor, I cannot say how relaxed I get when I turn on your videos. It really feels like hanging out with your best friend. I’ve watched you since the painting furniture days, and love seeing your journey🥰
Just wanted to say re negative comments that I cannot understand how anyone wouldn’t like you. There are so many controversial RUclipsrs out there and you’re literally so chill! I feel like any *rational* *adult* would like you! So it’s worth remembering if someone is being a hater, they’re probably not a rational person or not an adult. Just seems bizarre to me so wanted to add to the positive feedback that you are doing an all round super job and a joy to watch 🖤🖤🖤
Enjoy and make the best time for yourself. I just turned 45, married for over 20 years but waited to have a kid. So glad we had lots of years of fun and adventure! Live your life how you want!
Love a car chat :) for those asking about eating alone I 100% recommend eating at the bar. I have met awesome people doing that and can be a little more social if you want.
Love you!! Just turned 33 and still tryna figure out this path called life and what my purpose is. We're always growing and learning new things, that it's hard to stick to one thing.
I'm 29 this year and have so much stuff figured out in my life, and am confident with myself, but still sometimes question who I am and what to do in the future. I definitely couldn't answer any 5/10/15 year future questions. That's the whole point though, we're constantly changing ourselves and figuring it out, its so exciting!
I think “finding yourself” is one of those great myths of the world… each day that you live changes you in some way, whether it’s big or small. And with constant changes, it’s hard to pin down or pigeon hole yourself. I’m 40 and single, no children, work a 50-hr week job for 17 years… I was always upset because I didn’t have a spouse or kids or whatever… until I asked myself, what can I control? I can be a good person, I can lead with kindness and compassion. I can be a good friend. I can love on my family as much as possible. So THAT is who I am. Regardless of what life brings, I can maintain those certain tenants. Just my two cents!
I’m 29 and I feel like because we are always growing and changing there is never a point where you’re “grown up” and done. I think the fun of growing and changing is that you’re constantly learning new things about yourself and trying new things. Like I spent my whole life thinking I wouldn’t like oysters but I tried them recently and I really liked them!
I am 35, and I feel like I know myself well, and definitely feel confident in who I am, but I am about to embark on a new journey of motherhood and I am excited to grow and to get to know myself as a mother. I think it’s a really good point that we are all constantly changing, our lives are changing, so there is no set point where we will feel like we have it all figured out. But at the same time the core stays the same, and as long as you are honest with yourself about what really matters to you in life and what makes you happy, I think you’ve “discovered” yourself 😊
I love these comments! What a fantastic bunch of people! I just turned 50 this month, still painful to say 😅. I have 3 grown children & a 1 yr old granddaughter and NOW I'm really starting to know myself. I've found that a huge part of knowing who u are, is figuring out & sticking to ur values. I'm a God-fearing gal, so many of my values stem from my faith & wanting to be a good parent/grandparent. But even for those who aren't religious, think of people u look up to and the reasons why u look up to them. U can find values and traits that u aspire to and when u implement them into ur own life, u'll get a firmer sense of who u truly are.
I live alone and have given up dating and dating apps, Im 30 and find dating apps too overwhelming. I don't want to get married or have kids, so am also content on my own and am happy to have just friends, I don't want a boyfriend anymore which is very different from when I was in my 20s, where I thought that I need to get married.
OMG, so excited for you to go to Portugal. I LOVED Lisbon. Definitely a place worth looking into to stay long term. And, I honestly feel like they have some of the best food in the world. The city is so diverse and interesting, while also having a laid back vibe.
RE: eating out alone. I often go to restaurants alone and sometimes will be asked by hosts "only one?". The hosts do not care that you don't have someone with you, they just gotta know how many people to sit.
As a 36 year old with a kid, there's no 'knowing yourself' epiphany because we're constantly changing as individuals. You might decide that you 'know yourself' as a 20 year old student but then suddenly you're 30 year old professional working out how to advance your career, and before you know it you're a 40 year old mother who is figuring out how to be a parent. It's not like retirees have years of experiencing retiring - we're pioneers of our own life, at every age. As I've got older I've learned what things are truly worth my time and energy vs what I just need to step away from and move on as there's no benefit to engaging - similar to your approach to comments, I'll bet!
I am 43 and I feel like I have a very good sense of who I am but didn’t really settle into that until my 40s. But as a human being we are always changing and evolving and hopefully improving ourselves. So the person that you were confident that you were in your 20s maybe suited where you were in life at that point. You can’t possibly be the same person in your 20s that you are in your 40s ha ha. Touching on the marriage note as well - I married the first time because I felt pressure. I have a wonderful son from that marriage but it was not my person! I am now happily remarried with the right person for me! My advice for anyone is take your time, do all the traveling, try all the food, experience all the culture… your personal will come ❤ Love your channel Taylor and whenever you mentioned not being on RUclips someday I get very sad.
Soooo excited for Portugal content! We're relocating there within the next 5 years and I'm already getting a list together of places to go and hidden gems to try out ❤️
I'm 37. I'll admit, I have never been in a relationship. 🤷🏾♀️. Partly, it's a choice, but it also has to do with me being very, very shy. I just don't put myself out there. I figure if it's meant to happen, it will. If not, then oh well. I do get lonely at times, but then it subsides. Also, I love eating alone! Lol.
I'll be turning 40 this year, and I can say I learned so much last year. I grew enormously. I think it's natural to learn, grow, and change throughout life. I think there are phases in an individuals life. Btw, I freaking loved my 30s! And I used to think I would be depressed about turning 40, but I'm excited to see what that next phase of my life will bring!
Im 30, almost 31 and I feel pretty solidified in myself and who I am. However, I know that I will be ever "evolving". I think each decade of my life has brought so many new realizations to me about myself and my place in the world, the biggest being that I am allowed to take up space and be here and be happy.
Honestly, I could NEVER imagine saying something negative or hurtful to anyone, let alone to someone I don't personally know!!! Taylor, your content is fabulous! I AGREE 100% of being completely scared for the younger generation!!!! I'm not sure how they'll adjust!! Loving all of your travels!! All of your videos are SO thoughtful!!! Blessings to you, Taylor!! ✌🏼💚🙏🏼
Hey! Im 46, 3 kids 1 grandkid…I’m always trying to evolve and learn…love watching your travels..most people can’t do that and I love that you realize and appreciate that you’re able to. You rock ..happy 2023 🤘❤️
I’m 30 and will be figuring out who I am for the rest of my life. And I love that! It doesn’t mean life’s easy, but it’s always interesting and it’s freeing to let myself out of the social construct box.
I’m 34, I feel like I know myself very well, I know my purpose in life. I constantly look at myself and see what I want to change, modify, improve. Always working towards something.
43yo mom of two here- echoing what others have said but I am constantly learning and growing. Especially as I get older. Getting married or having kids does not give you any more clarity about this. And I love that about life. I’m traveling more than I ever did alone or with friends because it’s really easy to completely have your identity become “mom” or “wife” or whatever your job title is. I love following your adventures, Taylor. Don’t ever settle!
I’m 45. Two teenage sons. I think we are all changing and growing throughout our entire lives. “Our self“ today might look very different than our self in five years. And that’s awesome! Love your videos ❤
Almost 32 but an old soul 😂 I think you're always discovering some new part of yourself cause your going to transition into different seasons of your life. Who I was as kid vs teenager vs adult vs new mom (rn) vs kids out of the nest one day has and will probably continue to lead to new discoveries about myself. Also wanted to say I'm loving all the comments and how relatable the content is for people is so many different stages of their life ❤️
Dating in your twenties is totally the struggle sometimes. I so admire your confidence and ease of dealing with the unknown (I know you’re human and still worry some about these things lol, but overall). I’m in my mid/late twenties and do feel a lot better about myself and who I am/what I want overall, but it took time, therapy, and self-reflection. We’re all on our own paths. Anyone who feels like they’re “behind” in life, know that you’re not alone and your journey is your own. Just try to enjoy the ride. 💜
One of my favourite parts about being in my 30s is learning to enjoy my own company. I have a partner, but love travelling, going to dinner, etc. by myself!
I’m 44 and I feel like I learn more about myself and definitely love myself more and more the older I get. As for like my “place” in the world? At this point I live to be a mom but in another 10 years…. Who knows! Thanks for all you do for us girl! You’re my fave! PS don’t ever feel like you have to share anymore or any less then you are. No matter what you’re loved because you’re genuine!
I was fortunate to be raised by my Grandparents. They taught me so many life lessons from a perspective not many people get. The one huge thing I learned is there are many phases in life and we’re constantly learning & adapting as we experience these phases and all the challenges/lessons they bring. The people who don’t learn to adapt and grow throughout life ultimately lose out on true contentment & happiness. Seek new experiences, wheather it’s traveling the world or taking a community class, or diving into a new hobby. My Grandparents found joy in some, of what seemed, the most mundane things up to the day they passed. ❤
I'm 26 (Almost 27). I've been with my husband since we were 14 and 16 and got married at 20 and 21. We've got 2 kids together. He's my soulmate but we are both evolving constantly. We are absolutely not the same people we were when we got together in high school. I feel like we'll continue to evolve as well. It's a really comforting feeling to know someone will be by your side through all phases of life and will never hold you back. I think about my personality and who I am constantly. I like who I am, but times change and I think we need to be willing to change with that as well. The world we grew up in, is not the world we live in now, nor will it be the world my kids will grow up in. Change is good, but definitely a great thing to have core values as well. Love watching your videos Taylor! Long time subscriber! ❤️❤️
Can’t wait for the Portugal vlogs! This is my number one travel destination and will hopefully be going next year, can’t wait to see your recommendations!
As a 52year old, I’m in a relationship but love and am happy in my own skin. I think we are all constantly learning new things about ourselves. Whatever you are doing Taylor it looks well on you, you continue to grow into a beautiful human being. We need more Papa and Momma Bearrito, you have the coolest parents ❤
I’ve been a follower for soooo long and I’m loving to see this moment of your life, it’s super inspiring! ❤ thank you for sharing and inspiring other people as well! 😊
After my split with my ex a few years ago, I am truly grateful to be able to try new restaurants and eat alone. I savor that time. Same with going to the movies. It’s a different kind of freedom I don’t think a lot of people appreciate. I can’t wait til my kids are a little older so they can travel with me too
I’m turning 40 this year. I am confident in myself….but at the same time still don’t really feel like I’ve gotten myself “figured out”. I’m trying to embrace it as part of life and growing and maturing. Not many people are the same at 40 as they were at 20, and I think that’s a good thing. I know it is for me!
I think I started feeling more secure with myself and gained a better understanding of myself around my 30’s but I’m still growing and changing at 48 and I don’t think that ever really stops.
I’m 34, still finding myself and enjoying the ride! ❤ I’m currently watching you while getting ready to explore Porto. I’m visiting Portugal with my mom (wearing my adidas bag per your recommendation and loving it btw) and we both love it here! The views, the people, the food!! 🙌🏽 We are also doing Lisboa and Porto. Sintra is a wonderful place you can go to while in Lisboa (food at Metamorphosis is divine!). I hope you vlog your adventure in here so I can relive the experience thru you! 😊
Loved this chat, I have so many of the same feelings about these topics and it's nice to hear someone who feels the same! Love being almost 30 and single and traveling as much as possible!
Archery is the most empowering thing I’ve ever done. I love the way it makes me feel. You should definitely try it at least once, find a range and they will love to help you.
Learning keeps your mind open and alive.
this is perfect!
as a 42 yr old married for 20 years and 3 teenage daughters (😅👵🏻) i am envious of your freedom to travel and have lazy day if you want!
@@Bummer1980 good for you!!!
Please don't come for me 😘
Well said. I have one, now in their mid 20s 🥰 and was constantly asked from 1 year bday when the next one was coming. Surprise 🤷♀️
Same! And I must say, my 30s were awesome. I'm not done yet though. 😁✌️
I also live with chronic pain and admire that you don't let pain make your decisions for you. Love your content.
💖
Congrats on passing ur exam!!
@@Dannielle.S aww thank you!
Congrats girl! Do it , do it all!!! What I would
Do to be 25 again I promise you , focusing on you is the best thing you can do! ❤❤❤❤
The journey is important, but true happiness and contentment comes when you really enjoy day to day living!🖤🖤🖤
And if you are unhappy (job, relationship etc.), don't wait around for things to change.
I am 56 and still learning and growing. It shouldn’t ever end! Love you, Taylor.
Amen!
You and Jessica Braun uploading at the SAME TIME?! My heart shall explode.
Same lol.
Same! Was this planned?! The perfect Tuesday night!
I thought the same thing!😂❤️
I watched Taylor first! It was a hard choice! 😂
46 here too and totally agree!
As part of the mature gals that Love Taylor gang, makes my heart sing to hear you enjoying that being single is ok vibe!
Enjoy it all ❤
Mature Gals Taylor Fan Club! :) I got married at 33, but at 30 I was where she's at rn and super happy.
Mature Gal 43 still single. And I'm okay with that.💪❤
Count me in! My parasocial relationship with Taylor is mother/daughter. I just want to hug her and tell her how proud I am of her! 😅
I only hope I've grown enough to see the next phase for what it is and make it through better next time
The quality of this video is amazing it's crystal clear.
@@MaddieMettler Thanks I hope so. It was miserable right up until we split. I never wanted that for him so I was happy it was over.
Ireland was my first passport stamp too!! 💚🍀
Love your response about eating by yourself. I’ve had that hang up for years. 😊
You’re so incredibly likable and intriguing. I always feel inspired after I watch your videos!
Fried oysters are quite yummy. Who would have thought? 😊
I am 39 and I feel like we constantly evolve and learn about ourselves all the time
I live alone and have given up dating and dating apps, Im 30 and find dating apps too overwhelming. I don't want to get married or have kids, so am also content on my own and am happy to have just friends, I don't want a boyfriend anymore which is very different from when I was in my 20s, where I thought that I need to get married.
I love this beanie you have so much, that i went and bought it. 😂 i also may need to get that purple one as well!
You said it best!
I just got engaged! I’m 42 and I will be 44 when I walk down the aisle! I wouldn’t change a thing about my journey! 🎉❤
These are my favorite kind of videos from you, your perspective and wisdom really shine ✨ wishing you the best ❤
Thanks for your honesty; you are an excellent role model for young people today! Keep up the good work!
I have a partner, but love travelling, going to dinner, etc. by myself!
I’m 50 and found the best way to get to know yourself is to spend time alone, do things alone. Be your own best friend.
I always love your videos especially the chatty ones like this and shadow and schmooze videos❤
I think self discovery is a constant journey because your self is not stagnant, you are evolving every day
I’ve been a follower for soooo long and I’m loving to see this moment of your life, it’s super inspiring! ❤
thank you for sharing and inspiring other people as well! 😊
I’m 55 and wish I had your videos when I was in my 20s for advice 💜 Lots of wisdom and maturity here ☺️
After my split with my ex a few years ago, I am truly grateful to be able to try new restaurants and eat alone.
You are absolutely glowing right now. Sending all the good thoughts and love !! I love watching your journey !!
I think I started feeling more secure with myself and gained a better understanding of myself around my 30’s but I’m still growing and changing at 48 and I don’t think that ever really stops.
I’m 34, still finding myself and enjoying the ride! ❤
I’m currently watching you while getting ready to explore Porto.
I’m 29. Everyday is one minute at a time. Everyday is a new opportunity and a new learning curve ❤
Archery is the most empowering thing I’ve ever done. I love the way it makes me feel. You should definitely try it at least once, find a range and they will love to help you.
Yay! Love chitchats with you ❤️ hope you are doing well. Best wishes for life and travels.
Love watching you. Thanks for the Amazon finds also. I bought the black pink and teal beanie. They are so comfortable
