Tacoma, Washington to the Boundary Trailhead Parking at Mt St Helens National Monument

Second week of May 2024, off to one of my favorite places! We start off driving south on I-5 before exiting to Highway 505 and 504 east. The trailhead is just east of the Coldwater Ridge Visitor Center next to Coldwater Lake. The Road to Johnston Ridge Observatory is closed until at least 2026 due to a landslide in May 2023 that took out the Spirit Lake overflow creek bridge. Nice sunny day! My wife just got on per diem at the hospital so we will have more free time to go camping this summer! Did you get the camper yet?

Sounds awesome, let me know if you find any cool places! Getting the camper pop up installed early next month, hoping all goes according to plan :) I got my boxes and rack system off, that was fun, took 2 hours and I had to buy a Torx socket set.
