Yes, the Tom Brown is pretty expensive. I only have one more tracker, it’s a Fox Knives Tracker Utility Camp & Sniper Knife, it’s a bit smaller but seems to be really nice but I haven’t tested it out yet, so I don’t know how it is in reality.
These Boker Trackers (Mini and Regular) had problems on day one. I saw a video in 2021 where someone broke the tang inside the handle by doing a bit of batoning. This knife only looks like an outdoors knife, but you shouldn't use it that way.😅

The problem with tje "new" version is, that nothing is new axcept the screws which fix the handle. Its the same steel, the same heat treatment. 1095 isnt the best steel for a knife like this.
Nej, jag blev ganska förvånad… Jag brukar mina knivar ”hårt” men försöker aldrig misshandla dem, och det här var ju nästan med silkesvantarna på… 😅 Har lagt in ett ärende till Böker så får vi väl se hur det går!
Jag gjorde en felanmälan med detaljer till Böker, och de ville att jag skulle skicka kniven. Portot kunde de inte betala (det förstår jag iofs. men de kunde ju ha fixat en retur som jag sedan betalade, de har ju betydligt bättre ”deals”). Som privatperson skulle det billigaste alternativet gå på över 300kr och jag kände att jag inte ville lägga mer pengar på kniven, när risken fanns att att de skulle bedöma det som att skadan inte berodde på produktionsfel. Lite trist såklart, men det var valet jag gjorde.
@@HeavyMetalHiking Okei, videon var iaf bra för jag stod mellan en ny böker eller en bättre begagnad Tom Brown T-1 Tracker. Efter videon bestämde jag mig för att lätta på lädret och köpa en T-1!
Thank you for caring! I guess that Böker decreased in quality, this is not what I expected from them. Overall they make nice knives but I don’t think you can trust their hardening for rough work knives.
