Congradulations Mr Shivkumar for abandoning chemicals in Agricuture! The basics of Organic or any type of Agriculture is caring for soil health; you have been doing soil health management right from begining of organic farming by rotating the crops with green maure crop and have demonstrated that organic carbon (OC) rose from 0.25 to 2.9 within four to five years with such mulching practices; and with higher OC your yield has been increasing with less pest and disease problems. You may also be interested to meet (sometimes you could have met) Mr Sundraraman of Sathyamangalam who has been a successful organic farmer growing Turmeric. Please note the key ingredients of Shiva's farming method. Only one lakh per year expense for inputs and labor and mostly farm made inputs. Therefore you need to grow only 3 lakhs worth of product per acre. Through crop rotation and cover crops (thazhai uram) systems, the soil fertility can be maintained and the nutrients are not extracted from the soil and plants will slowly get stronger in better soil. Lowest input costs is the key to this work. Shiva saves naati seeds at his farms. So that further reduces input costs.

Congradulations Mr Shivkumar for abandoning chemicals in Agricuture! The basics of Organic or any type of Agriculture is caring for soil health; you have been doing soil health management right from begining of organic farming by rotating the crops with green maure crop and have demonstrated that organic carbon (OC) rose from 0.25 to 2.9 within four to five years with such mulching practices; and with higher OC your yield has been increasing with less pest and disease problems. You may also be interested to meet (sometimes you could have met) Mr Sundraraman of Sathyamangalam who has been a successful organic farmer growing Turmeric. You have instilled confidence among today/tomorrow organic farmers. Thank you for the video. Fantastic Shiva. Amazing work
Please note the key ingredients of Shiva's farming method. Only one lakh per year expense for inputs and labor and mostly farm made inputs. Therefore you need to grow only 3 lakhs worth of product per acre. Through crop rotation and cover crops (thazhai uram) systems, the soil fertility can be maintained and the nutrients are not extracted from the soil and plants will slowly get stronger in better soil. Lowest input costs is the key to this work. Shiva saves naati seeds at his farms. So that further reduces input costs.
