- Not much I can do about it, these holes and tunels are made by underground running water and it seems that last years heavy rain left some souveniers. Luckily no damage to the trailer so we finished 1st cut grass silage and also had some time (weather) to spread slurry on.

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M. We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.
Oooops! That ain't good😳😱! Seems to be a lot of sink holes there🤔. Good to see there was no damage on the loading wagon👍. And luckily the trailer sunk in, not the tractor🤞👍! Cheers from Bavaria!

That's awesome how your fields are drained by this kind of "undercover rivers".

WOW. Was für ein Erdloch. Haben wir ihn Norddeutschland auch auf Moorflächen. Aber nicht so tief. Gott sei Dank ist nicht schlimmeres passiert ist. Wie immer macht ihr eine gute Arbeit. 👍

Das gibt es in Ostfriesland(Norddeutschland) auch auf Moorflächen,wenn es im Sommer extrem trocken ist und sich das Moor unter der Grasnarbe
zurückbildet und dann die Grasnarbe abreisst,bzw. Schäden bis zu 50-60 mtr .von Fliessgewässer entfernt,durch Nutria-Bauten(Biberratte).
Nachbar auf seiner Fläche letztes Jahr erlebt. Schlepper und Sillierwagen pöltzlich 50 cm Tiefergelegt,
My home state of Pennsylvania we have mine subsidence from under ground coal mining. Looks a lot like your sink holes. Glad you or your equipment weren’t damaged.

Pöttinger - Austrian quality at its best. We are running a novacut mower and a Profi loading wagon for +25 years, are on their 3rd tractor generation and still wouldn’t change them

That's truly unreal all of those sink holes. Are they all in one field? Somewhere I would think the ground is bulging out, or there is muddy water running somewhere. Be careful, you are lucky it hasn't swallowed the complete tractor and equipment, scary!
Nope, completely random fields 🙃 yes, there are spots like that in some fields, where we already set up drainage. But in this case there wasn't any indication whatsoever 🙄 yep 😅
Weather has been dry and warm for once here. Fields look quite ready, but today we got the oat seed ready. Next week looks to be a bit colder, but only little rain hopefully. Those sinkholes are really scary. Hopefully there isn't more.

good videos you have on your channel, I really like watching them, I'm really interested in harvesting ryegrass with a self-loader, I see that you have a lot of experience in this method of work, I have a few questions, if you could answer them: how big is the grass cut by the machine? how many days or How many hours do you have the ryegrass drying? How many hectares do you cut in one go? How much does the machine cost to spread the ryegrass in the silo?

Thank you 🙂 you mean the length of the cut? With all the knives its around 6 centimeters. Ryegrass usualy needs 2 days to dry enough, depends on the weather. We cut up to 5 hectares at once. Silo roller is around 3K - 4K € I would say 🤔

Now, call me crazy, but personally, i dont care for the drone shots! I feel like the landscape gets more beautiful the more ground level you are. Theres few places in the world that the first person perspective is better than a view from the sky, but i think this is one of them.

Kaj vi ste iz slovenije? Mi imamo kmetijo na kočevskem, tu je ogromno požiralnikov ,lukenj in zelo hribovito je. Z traktorjem nemoreš voziti po takšnem terenu kot ga imamo mi če si neizkušen voznik, saj hitro pride do poškodb strojev ali oseb. Sem vesel da ni nič narobe z teboj ali tvojimi stroji. 😊

I burried trailers and tractors more often than I count. It happens. As long as everyones okay and the equipment isnt broken - its not a bad day, just a hinderance.
edit: By the way: Thats pretty much the reason why we switched mostly to either tandem trailers or big flotation single tires. It helps tremendously in these situations.

The water from all the rain created a tunnel underground.
