    In this tutorial, you will learn how to use the Reference Values window for a 3D simulation. With Reference Values (Lenght, Area, etc.), you can find the Drag Coefficient. In this case, the experimental Drag coefficient (Cd) is 1.05.

    In order to create this geometry in ansys spaceclaim, after cutting the cube from the flow domain, shall I keep this block or remove ? Thanks

    Question. You made a named selection for the cube right? How did you do it? Did you select each surface of the cube manually? because It's subtracted from the domain.

    If I am simulating for example an aircraft, then what should I write in Reference Values - area and length? Are those dimensions of enclosure?

    In my case coefficient of drag is plotted as 0 for all iterations...I cannot understand the mistake I am doing ...kindly help

    If I want to analyze drag due to surface roughness that requires near-wall treatment, can I use Spalart-Allmaras instead of k-w SST? I'm trying to validate a flat plate wind tunnel experiment. Thank you!

    Hello , İ am a beginner and have some questions to you master, when we create the geometry do we extract the cube from the geometry ,and also if we extract what is the cube in this video is it the surface inside of the wind tunnel?

      In this case there is only the control volume without the cube (neither are the faces of the cube).

    Hey man I am getting this error every time I try to open your cube.cgns file
    how do I fix this ?
    I am using the student version of Ansys CFD workbench R1

    Hi, I have a problem. While defining the reference values, I don't have the "fluid" option in "reference zone", but the only option is "solid". I'm trying to calculate the drag coefficent of a sphere that I designed using design modeler.

      Hi friend, good question, you need project the geometry to plane, maybe using Inventor or Solidworks you can obtain the areas.
