    Economists and business leaders are voicing concerns at the start of 2023 that the year could be a difficult one. JPMorgan Chase & Co. Chief Executive Jamie Dimon said that the Federal Reserve may need to raise interest rates to 6% to fight inflation, higher than the peak level between 5% and 5.5% in 2023 that most Fed officials penciled in after their December meeting. Although I read an article of people that grossed profits up to $500k during this crash, what are the best stocks to buy/short now or put on a watchlist.

    The majority of people using these strategies are making significant profits; yes, the risks are larger, but isn't the ongoing business sector equally risky? From what I can discern, the go-to strategy for navigating this downturn and high expansion is momentary trading rather than long-term trading.

      Since the outbreak of 2020, which significantly affected the market, I've been consulting an investment coach before making any investment decisions because their entire philosophy is built around employing a high-profit orientated plan while simultaneously trading long and short, as well as decreasing risk exposure as a hedge against inevitable downtrends. Inflation is producing a slew of problems throughout the world, including food shortages, diesel and heating fuel shortages, and housing prices and financial market crash. Interesting that the work force participation has dropped from circa 70% to a current rate of circa 61.2%. Problem is - must of that drop will have been in the productive sector of the economy - very few government employees ever get laid off.

    There seems to be a fairly broad consensus amongst Wealthion guests that 2023 should be painful. Some of this seems premised on the market crash in 2018 when interest rates were about the same as now. I know debt levels are much higher now along with somewhat broken systems from COVID. Still, it would be interesting to have a guest explain in some depth the similarities and differences between then and now.

    Powell is NOT committed to fighting inflation to stabilize prices. He proved that with his .25 increase in rates Fed 1. Inflation is increasing again. Lumber prices have gone up significantly in just the last few weeks. He has sold out the poor and middle class for the rich and the controlling class. All of this "slow" and drawn out so-called inflation fight has done nothing to relieve pain of those that can't afford it. Powell should have "shocked" the markets with an increase in rates that matches or exceeds the true inflation rate. In addition to that monopolies should be busted up especially in the medical, technology, and retail sectors. Regulations that cripple American businesses should be gutted, free money and benefits from the government should be cut off entirely except for social security and Medicare only for US citizens who were born here to US citizens and to those who immigrated here legally. Entrepreneurial free enterprise should be fully embraced as it once was. The government should stop printing money and live within its means, in fact it should gather up trillions of dollars in the world and burn it. These measures would be a START to fighting inflation, strengthening the dollar, and restoring price stability.

    This recession is most likely the result of an external factor. For the first time in decades, the United States is losing its clout as a federal reserve currency. They don't have any more economies to use to control inflation, and less money is being spent on stock and oil trading than in the past. They all lend support to the idea that a new multilateral world order is in the works.

    A very Gloomy outlook Jim paints 🎨

  • @p_sg3449
    @p_sg3449 Год назад +10

    His analysis is always illuminating but his predictions are often way out. After predicting some years ago that gold would hit $10,000 (because there is a finite amount of real gold), it tanked to less than $1100.

    • @holdenc3082
      @holdenc3082 Год назад +6

      He also made some crazy prediction a few months back that at 2 pm on a certain date X was going to intersect with Y on some chart or whatever and watch the market because there is going to be a huge crash. Nothing happened. I respect Jim, but predictions like that are why most analysts don’t go there with those kinds of predictions and tend to talk out of both sides of their mouths and leave themselves an out.

      If I can remember, Jim never put a time horizon on the ultimate price of gold that but with the global debt levels like they are and a global recession in the mix, he might not be far off. A collapse of multiple fiat currencies and I believe you could possibly break 10k

    This market is a joke. Powell should have raised 100 basis points and told the market he’s sick of them trying to front run everything he does and that fundamentals need to start mattering again.

    Adam, I saw some adds for Jim and a web program but the topic seemed like a add to buy gold so I passed as I do on so many of these types of programs. I have extreme respect for you and I like your professionalism so I watched your webcast. This guy Jim R really knows his stuff and I would like to see more but he is hard to follow so your skill and knowledge is very critical. I want more but you need to be the moderator. Please. Put together another program on metals and the govt. scheme on money and taxes. All Americans need to know more.

    Work is different things to different people, a mother raising a family is work, a neighbor helping with gardening is work, a person sitting in front of a screen is not work, a person cooking a meal is work, work is something we do to help another person directly, so we need to define work, as doing something we love to do to help another, its not about wasting time, and getting paid for doing what you don't love. The planet needs all the love it can get, helping everyone, being present and focused on those you feel like helping.

      Depending on where their stock price is I don't think it's a bad idea. Tesla was down to $108, I doubt it'll go lower than that. That's a good time to buy in. Also, majority of his Adams guests all say the energy sector is going to be good this year.
