For all of those saying: uh...it doesn't sounds the same. Let me remind you he is using the sounds right out of the synths to the video. In the production versions ....this sounds have been processed heavily with Eq's, compressors and even used a different reverb on them. All of that to make them sit tight in the final mix. So thats the reason they dont sound exactly the same.
I love funk music, and I am glad that Bruno Mars is helping to bring it back.
William, we need a series dedicated just to Kraftwerk and Daft Punk.
We do!
And when the world needed them most, they vanished
Kraftpunk
Shampoo, Press & Curl (Bruno Mars, Philip Lawrence, Brody Brown) were producers on all the 24K Magic album. The Stereotypes were credited with helping to produce three tracks on the album. Mark Ronson, Jeff Bhasker, and Bruno Mars produced Uptown Funk. Uptown Funk had an interesting combination of drums (Bruno Mars) and bass (Jamareo Artis) along with synth drums and synth bass. The horns were live.
I've been in creative depression for the past five years and this morning, I got up and the first I wanted to do was produce music. Thanks for the video to help me stay motivated and inspired. Please pray for me 🙌
I love the smile when he's using the orchestra hit
“Don’t you want one of these synths?” Yes, yes I do, but wanting one and affording one is a different story
Many problems, One solution-
Arturia v collection.
Check out UHE Diva! Best sounding plugin to emulate all of these synths
when I was a child, it made me dream these keyboards, I had energy to compose but I had no luck to acquire them not only these were too expensive, but it was impossible for me to easily find in Algeria Africa, nowadays I have them all plugin but I do not have the energy of yesteryear to compose, the age of 50 is shit lol finally thank you for sharing :)) google translate french english thank you :D
Cool but I thought you were going to reproduce the same sounds, some are completely different
Yea I was thinking the same thing
@@DevinShoulders same here
Put a shirt on

Love learning more about synths Everytime I watch this

@@jaderene me forty
Brass stabs are the Roland Juno. There’s a video interview of Bruno going over 24k magic
That moment you wait for the Korg Minilogue to get used..... #priceless!
UNDERDOG THE DJ I only watched the video for that 😂
I did not know that the lead singer of the group Cameo did music analysis videos on RUclips. Good for him.
50% of 80s sound is in drums sounds and production, mostly heavy processed with FX processor machines and gated reverbs and plates such as Lexicon 480L, PCM70, AMS, Eventide H3000... All this FX boxes are second to none even today.
Teddy Riley was the founder of New Jack Swing. Hence also the movie New Jack City.
4:14 :) Love that feeling
🔥 I watched Mark Ronsons masterclass on BBC Maestro and he showed that they used a Juno 106 and a minimoog on Uptown Funk. Your patches sounded just like it bit the stabs and all the synth parts were his Juno 106 and maybe a Juno 60 arp. He didnt show the orchestra hits but said they worked on it for 9 months and had a bunch of arguments on the song with Jeff Bhasker and Bruno just to go back to what they had in the first day. Mark explains how he hated the “bumbudumbubudum” part bruno introduced but after sleeping on it realized that it was one of the main hooks of the song.
Loved the energy , the smiling and the explanations . Great vid
Remember the time
He's back! Been too long.. Bring us More!
This guy has the best job.
remember the time is just so YES
That's a smashing carpet.
I love this man
1:05 Keith Sweat's 'I Want Her' is perhaps a better reference as a song being at the forefront of New Jack Swing.
A popular bass used in New Jack Swing was the "I21 Lately Bass" from the Yamaha TX81Z.
Can you please do synth sounds of the cars, that would make me so happy
SUPER dope!! As someone who exclusively produces 80s/90s retro-inspired tunes (Retrowave), I can attest that you nailed this. Totally legit! I love this series, please keep it up. (Oh, and extra props for that Member's Only jacket!)
If anyone interested, Umut Erhan's 24K Magic video is the best i've seen in recreations.
What a music lesson! Thanks!
I've been waiting and waiting for ya , Great
Video title should be "sounds of zapp and roger and teddy riley"
So much Inspiration here I Love the old sounds combine to modern music this what I wanna try now Becuse iam sick of trap really I wanna made some different bring the music back from our heart to the feeling what music can be ❤️
Thanks for the help!
Juno 106 was used for the brass stand
ahhh I just LOOVE his music
Amazing!! Very good job!
will always killing it
You seem to lean a little to heavy on Jimmy and Terry for New Jack Swing. In it's inception, it was pretty much all Teddy. Doug E. Fresh "The Show" in '86 along with Janet "Nasty" in '86. They are no were near the same styles. Although Wikipedia hails Jimmy and Terry as influencers with "Control". TR really is credited with it's invention, not a person that modified it.
the way this guy dances at 2:16 is too funny
This guy is the best spokesman
love this guy
2:16 aightttt!
This video was so cool
Dope video - best channel!
D Train "you're the one for me" is THE on for me. Please do one on D Train.
Please please do "Thriller"
Some more MJ is deffo needed
Check out Doctor mix, he made It!
Would be a three part series lool
William: Now they could have used the Biddly-Boo KZX 80, or the Jimtom DSR 7, but luckily for this video we’re gonna patch the J-20 into the Moog Delta Synth for the same effect
Me: Naturally
2:15 Were these 3 clips of him dancing really necessary
No but they're great
*yes*
Yeah it was
Homeboyz got a flat top fade thats fresh.
right now 807k views with 807k subs. what a coincidence!
More Will Kirk videos please.
Man I really want to hang out with William Kurk
That dance though
I actually still have my Roland D-50 and Korg DW 8000 boards. Thanks to VST I don't actually take them out anymore, they're more of a decoration for my studio.
Now you're just showing off!
This was legit!
Dope 🤘🏿
Cant we do this with a single synthesizer?
You guys missed an opportunity this holiday season. “The synth sounds of Do They Know it’s Christmas Time”
WILL!!!! My dude
woooo Woooo WOOOO
Synth Arp sound in 24k Magic, I'm a total noob, but my guess. Roland Jupiter 8

Nice job dood....
guys having a good time there. .
The ultimate bass patch was lately bass from yamaha tx81z
How do I get these old sounds instruments for Logic Pro X??
Can't believe he used 6 synths for something that could be done with 1 synth
The Prophet 6, it has all the necessary waveforms and filters
Great video!! I'm looking to to buy a new midi controller but can't decide. Could you please share your opinion on the Arturia you are using in this video?
Y'all didn't do the synth pad in Uptown Funk. Awww
I was massively disappointed as well. It was the whole reason I was here. Also not a lot of the sounds even got close
nice dance moves
Korg Krome EX has the 24K Magic bass in it. It’s even names that. And there may be a few more sounds from 24K in that keyboard. Great demo nevertheless. Thanks!
Hello bro, nice sounds. From Philippines here. Just want to know where in the logic pro i can locate my keyboard sound module. Like roland jv 80 or roland fa 06 i want to use keyboard as a module but i dont know where to locate it in logic pro x. Thanks!
do you guys have courses?
Yeah but what about those cool, modulated chords in the chorus of Uptown Funk?
How about a Pink Floyd keyboard sound one?
Awesome!
What if I use FL Studio? Which one should I get?
Thanks!
By the way, if one wants to see how it's done, watch Bruno Mars himself demo the parts (correctly!)
ruclips.net/video/GLmrfdFtaZo/видео.html#action=share
At 0:48 watch Bruno play the 24k bassline, complete with keyboard slides and modulation wheel.
And, at 3:27 he plays the chords to 24k Magic on the Roland Juno.
Best representation on the video of shared of BM
"It's like a little infant"... LOL!!
Didn’t mention That Uptown Funk was produced by Mark Ronson
Check the description. :)
Sorry I meant “he didn’t”
Is it actually possible for me to buy a Mini Moog 1972? Or something similar to Tangerine Dream Logos sound? Is there anyone knowing what I’m talking about?
i would really like to buy this synth but im broke
new jack swing
Is that the Members only jacket?
I just installed Roland Cloud JV-1080 in hope of finding Orchestra Hits but PR-D 071 is not Orch Hits but Plik-Plok. Does anyone know how to find it? Thanks!
Can you do synth sounds of IGY by Donald Fagen pls?
This shit is soooo tight 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
i thought you were going to explain how to program the sounds😣
My only issue is that nowhere did you actually mention how you dialed in those sounds. I recognize that these videos exist to show off gear, but when you're doing a recreation video, i feel like you should either use the originals, or at least talk a little bit about how you approximated that sound. Preferably both.
nice one
Moreeeee
the sounds accuracy was like Alden Ehrenreich as young Han Solo..
Great! so how much they cost total? goddamnit
PLEASE DO RADIOHEAD AND MUSE
Damn. You just made me piss out of the toilet for a momet..bro. Chamone. Teddy riley is known as the founder of NewJackSwing... .😖
Cadê o disfarce desse cabeloooo meu parceiro???
S/O the Types Jeremy Brandon I remember the Guitar center days Jeremy Sac Town.
Man bruno used juno for 24k magic's synth
