Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds, The New Generation, performed live at the MEN Arena, Manchester, Saturday 8th December 2012. Featuring Liam Neeson narrating and starring as a hologram :-D Also Jason Donovan, Will Stapleton, Marti Pellow, Michael Falzon, Ricky Wilson, Lily Osborne, Kerry Ellis. What a fantastic show, it was great to hear the original music played live by a band and orchestra, and to see the superb effects, lights, FIRE, and story unfolding on the big video screen...what a stunning unforgettable night... Thanks so much for posting this. I'm off to the O2 on 15-Dec and I was looking forward to seeing this live. Having seen what we're in for I'M EXCITED! I bought the original album on cassette on the release date all those years ago, updated to CD and now The New Generation. Roll on Saturday.

Was there as well and really enjoyed it. Pellow was terrible, but Ricky Wilson was superb.
