Thats awesome! I live in Kentucky about 60 miles south of E-ville but Ultimatefit is my go to store. I will be running the Indy Monumental this November for the first time. Thanks for watching & commenting, I appreciate it!
I think i'm going for a very similar line-up. Meta Speed Edge Paris, Magic Speed 4 and Glideride Max. ( I loved the glideride 3). I didn't get on with the Novablast 3. Felt a bit too soft in the forefoot for my style of running. I'm a heel striker but i think i push off hard with the ball of the foot. I think the agressive toe rocker of some Asics shoes change the way we experience the drop of the shoe i.e a higher drop.
It’s definitely an aggressive toe rocker, which I believe is why I didn’t mind the softer midsole and why the big stack felt less clunky. I appreciate you watching and enjoy your runs!
What did you dislike about those other max stack shoes? I love the Glideride 3 but mine is dead so looking at the Max but not a huge fan of it getting even heavier as a do-it-all shoe.
The main thing I didn’t like about them was how bulky/clunky most of them were. The SB was light but still felt so cumbersome. The Hoka was also quite heavy(2oz more than the GRM) and the NBSC Trainer V2 was so soft I found it unstable. The GRM felt stable and smooth at all paces and is just an easy shoe to run in.
@@justjared82 Maybe im 1,74 cm and 70kg, i have more bounce return + smoother ride in Neo Vista and i can feel the weigth difference, special on my longer runs ...
Hey, thanks for watching. I found the New Balance SC Trainer too soft and unstable, the Superblast were kinda clunky and cumbersome for me, the Kinvara upper caused me issues, and the Hoka was big, bulky & heavy. Lots of ppl love them but I just didn’t find them “fun” or enjoyable. Hope this helps!
It's definitely not a super trainer, but compared to the SB2, it's boring and not nearly as responsive. It's also too heavy and the collar is ridiculously over cushioned - they could have shaved some weight by making the collar less cushioned. For the price, there are much better choices on the market.
@@FatUglySadMan Yes it'a clunky for sure, I tried this twice in two different stores in two different days just to see if I can like it but no I simply could not convince myself to buy it. That said, I am not liking this Glideride max either overall, expected better enery return and responsiveness.
Definitely not a tempo. You could use it as recovery because it is very well cushioned, but I put it more in that “comfortable cruiser” category. I use it for long runs that I’m doing little to no faster efforts. I hope that helps, thank you for watching!
@@justjared82 I am forefoot striker currently using pegasus 40 that cause pain in the forefoot after 9 kms. Please suggest me which shoes is better for me Novablast 4 or GRM?
Depends what pace. Novablast is a faster shoe but you have to put the force into it. The GRM Max is a slower shoe with a rocker and softer. @@mirmohsanalitalpur5884
You are GREAT!!! Keep it up Jared, looking forward to tuning in to your channel!!!
Thank you very much, I appreciate you watching!
I’m a fan of the Glideride Max. Lovely foot strike with some energy.
Yes indeed! Thanks for watching!
Came over here by recommendation from Yowana on one of his recent videos. Great start to the channel!
Glad to have you here! Hoping to get more videos out soon. You a Coast Guard vet or active duty?
@@justjared82 Retired Coast Guard! Although I spent six of my early years in the Air Force.
Came over from Yowana's channel. Grew up in E-ville! I do a lot of runs in Indy (Ft ben, Mini, Zionsville, Monumental halfs)

Good review. It will be great to have your thoughts on another max stacked - glycerin max
Thanks for watching! I have my review of the Hoka Skyward X on my channel and I hope to grab the Glycerin Max next week. Thanks again!

@@JTD33 I really am enjoying it, hope you do as well! Thanks for watching & commenting, I really appreciate it.
Have both prefer Mizuno Neo Vista more fun
Are you a lighter runner? Heard where the Neo is more suited to lighter folks.

Why you don’t like the other high stacks shoes?

It’s definitely not for everyone! Yea, it’s definitely not a super trainer but I do like the new FF Blast Max foam
The SB2 is a boring clunky shoe, I just don’t get the hype.

Is it a recovery run shoes or tempo
