David Burnett No one in particular as far as comparison goes, man. I was just referencing that it is a great song with substance and the music has a spine-chilling quality to it. Those are qualities that I feel are lacking in popular rock music for about the last 15 years or so.
I know this is ancient now but if you haven't found them yet, Sunny Day Real Estate is amazing, especially the self titled

Just got Rocksmith and a Bass today and have spent well over an hour on this song. Which I'd never heard before that. Love it now! I still suck but I've hit some brief "grooves" where I'm locked-in. And it gets better with each playing. Get Rocksmith people it is SO MUCH FUN! Go bass if you have zero previous music playing ability like myself. You catch on quick and it's so f'n satisfying. You wanna keep playing.

Just got the game today late I know been playing bass on and off for Year's but haven't picked it up in an extremely long time ,first playthrough of the song hit a 60% an hour later 102 % on the master version 😁 just keep playing you're going to get more comfortable and things are going to come easier to you, I'm aiming to 100% the rancid Maxwell murders next

the first song I properly learned on bass. I struggled changing strings when I first played and was on riff repeater for hours. Now the song is so simple and I'm playing slap all over the place. The guitar part fairly easy too.

+@SharkArts | Editor I'm doing the same. I actually find playing the songs included on Rocksmith 2014 works better for me than going through all of the lessons. I did all the basics, now I'm working on actually honing what I've learned. Gave this song a whirl the other night and actually kind of like it.

Man why did Jaws stop. I first heard of these guys through Rocksmith, as many did. I grew up in Essex and was exposed to a lot of the UK indie scene through these guys. Learned about Swim Deep from these guys, and a year later Swim deep shot a video at my school.
Such a shame to see these guys have stopped releasing music, they're a big part of my teenage life.

cool song. Heard it first on Rocksmith. I will eventually try this on bass, just started learning to play bass, but will play this tune on drums. It should be a lot of fun.
As a new bass player, I highly recommend this song to everyone and anyone learning to play. It’s is smooth and beginner friendly with just enough complexity that you feel so accomplished when you master it. I hope you did eventually get to this and that you found it just as enjoyable as I did

This is the proof that you can still write amazing songs in standard E tuning while other use odd and alternate tunings
I mean many great songs can be made in all tunings. Even the low ones, use a 12 string guitar and it'll be worth it. All it takes is a good idea and some skill and you'll have a great song

Great song! I also found it on Rocksmith 2014. I don't know what genre you would classify it under, but it remind me a lot of the shoegaze/dreampop songs of the 90s: Ride-Leave Them All Behind, Moose-Suzanne, The Stone Roses-I Wanna Be Adored. Love it!
