My favorite modern Sonic mod, because instead of copying one style or another it does it's own thing. There's also trail that speeds up other players if they run behind. I love when characters have some way to interact with teammates in coop.
That Nu Angel Island level was really impressive. The skybox along with the level design gives you the illusion that you’re actually running through the island.
Still trying to get my groove back into making RUclips videos... this gameplay was recorded 2 weeks ago but didn't have any motivation to make content out of it until now
super smooth gameplay, man this is pretty much the Sonic I wanna see: make running fast and skipping half the level look fun also love just how much squash and stretch neo sonic has, even if it looks pretty silly on a 2D sprite
I could never get used to SRB2's look. It just made me kind of woozy. But this remade with environments that aren't trying to marry sprites with 3D environments would be so much fun
Isn’t this the same kinda look tho? Like I been playing srb2 since I was in elementary I think you’re just saying that it looks cooler and you’re tryna pin it in the graphics when I think I know what it really is it’s just cooler lmao
@@TreadywayYT Not the graphics. It's about depth perception. This style communicates it better. And it's not even about liking it or not, I said it made me woozy. I just want to be able to play it like any other game without getting lightheaded
looks really neat, just a couple of animation issues like too much squash/stretch on the landing and some of the angles not working correctly when rotating the camera around him...
Love the levels. I question if making it so sonic wasn't in the air as long on jumps would help force players to explore these levels, platform a bit more. But that could also remove the sense of speed that it gives you to avoid so many platforms. It's not even THAT fast of a game, but because he can just sort of circumvent so many elements, it makes it feel like he must be going fast for whatever the in-world speed is that would necessitate that platforms be spaced apart as they are.
I've never liked Neo Sonic because of how complex it was to use (among other things because I suck as shit at playing it), but after seeing this I'll definitely give it another chance P.S. Try the SA Sonic mod, in my opinion it is the best way to play Speed Highway
Great level design!! wow this really captures the feeling of the classics. I would have LOVED a 15fps 1/2 resolution version of this in 1996 lol actually, would love that today...where is the music remix from?
Youngins wont understand this but ive always wish games didnt advance much past engines like this. I love false 3d graphics, and love when theres very little actual 3d. Just think it looks so clean, so much better than actual 3d did until recently. To me these graphics stand the test of time, as 2d graphics cant really advance any further. 3d graphics become outdated real fast.
This is pretty cool but I can't really get behind it tbh. Feels like you spend 75% of every stage flying through the air or jumping over large sections of the stage. Why's it there if I'm just gonna fly over it?
This is a character mod, made for fun. I think balancing went out the window some time ago. Vanilla Sonic in SRB2 is much more grounded/limited, if you prefer challenge... and trust me you will be challenged to the point of rage lol
Using the Simple controls but disabling autoturn camera (set the slider all the way to the left). I use a controller btw (left stick movement, right stick camera, RB - Jump, LB and LT - Roll)
The download link to the mod page is in the description. Just download and extract the zip folder into your "addons" folder in SRB2. Once you open the SRB2, go to "Addons", search for the mod you like to play, press enter and you're done

Yeah, only wish it wasn't made out of jell-o

Try OpenGl 3D models!
in the settings you can turn on open GL mode which makes the game render things in real 3d imstead of streaching sprites to look 3d

Ayy, Chengi mods are always nice to see. The squash and stretch on landing is really amusing, but it looks like he handles pretty well.
Man, the animation on this one is really good.
The goat's back in action once more
Only missing of this mod is that there is no "bounce", but still love it
These are some really good levels

Every time sonic lands it reminded me of toree
I keep seeing all these cool srb2 mods and being jealous because I don’t know how to download them on my steam deck
Alt title: neo sonic: the *S Q U E E Z E* update.
Neo sonic has been the only one I've seen ever to have 2 run animations changes since they were updated
The Big Arms and CHAOS ANGEL(Very Underrated Epic Banger btw) remixes though!!

He already tried Adventure Sonic on that level I think

I love the way he lands on the ground after a long jump, but I think he doesn't seem to be that fast compared to the likes of junio sonic
Srb2 making sure it stays the greatest fan game ever.
This zone still bothers me that we can see angel island in the background, while BEING on Angel Island. 💀
Should be renamed to Angel Islands or Angel Archipelago lol
You mind sharing what camera settings you're using?
These cinematic-esque shots are quite nice
Appreciate the footage!
Marius's skill with Mouse & Keyboard controls is just that good.
@@ItsCenrryTHI think he's actually playing on a gamepad
man if they had this on the Saturn back in the day
it would have gave the Saturn a chance to make it
Mind checking out Tyson Hesse's Sonic? That hog's kit is very interesting...
This is what Sonic 3D Blast should have been.
Great
So it's like how boost works in the Sonic Advance games, then.

Its alright buddy theres always fangames and indie games
He's squishy
I really want the neo sonic mod to evolve so it'll be cool 😄
Is that green hill zone 0:03
No, it’s angel island
damn those levels are freakin great though
6:10 11:17 13:57 unfortunate
He's hard to control and gauge jumps at high speed, plus a level even at high speed needs to have some kind of obstacles.
@@MariusUrucu I'd be annoyed as hell if I got hit like that in an otherwise clean run
@@domovoi2861 Trust me I was annoyed myself lol
You're pretty good
Is there a camera mod here or something? Compared to regular srb2 this looks way more comfy to play
No. Just the simple control method, with orbital looking camera enabled (check the options menu)
Also this was played on controller
holy shit something fanmade that doesnt look like total jank shit and seems original
Dyk what's the name of angel island fall music? I'd really enjoyed it
Are u using.mouse and keyboard' or controller?
When a fan makes a good 3d sonic game makes me sad for new sonic games lately

how did this game get made in 1998 but it became famous in 2023
what the fuck
How do you make it so that your character doesn’t move when you move the camera?
Using the Simple controls but disabling autoturn camera (set the slider all the way to the left).

How you put mods on srb2?
How to download zip mods with wads in them
