Thank you. Some great tips. Like putting the blade under the head to stop damage. Using the razor to reverse the screw.

End cutters work much better for pulling nails. If you carry a four-inch by four-inch piece of 1/8 aluminum plate you can pull nails with a prybar, hammer, and a lot of other tools with no damage. Aluminum plate really shines when pulling nails from drywall that are nailed into studs. Aviation snips do a great job pulling nails from the back of painted base.

A stiff back single bevel putty knife is better at at lifting staple crowns. Also safer as the snapped knife blade demonstrates. You can also pry against the blade to avoid surface marring

A small damaged screw drIver that you grind in a point is great to loosen staples.(you have to work with the grinder until you get a point that works for you.
An end cutting nippers work a little better than side cutters.
bet his mom never let him have a switch blade (evident by the way he flips his utility knife open)

Just did after you posted this. I was unaware that they made it. I’ll use it for upholstery staples.

Your asking for a lot 😀. It’s always a trade off of how much of the wood will I damage to retrieve a nail. Sometimes you have to come from the back side to get it.
