In the firm I work with we don’t design the flat slab, but we do design all the other members. Do I have to turn on “slabs to be meshed” ? I get different results when I turn it off or on.

You can create opening for door & window, but I don't prefer that. Because door/window also has few weights. It is safer to consider more loads than considering less load on structure, you know.
From your experience with many software which one is easier and accurate and most useful to learn (RFEM or Robot or Tekla SD) since prota is not easy to get.
i think this software is not suitable for indian code because when he was choosing british code in starting there is no option of indian code in the table

You just need to have paypal account. Then you can send money through the website you visited for excel.
