Braniff International former hangar is still standing at Dallas Love Field which Braniff still used even after moving to the new DFW Airport unti Braniff International shutdown in 1982. Thank you for sharing! 👍

This is outstanding work! The amount of time and effort you have put into all these videos is immense! Just gotta love Braniff, if only all airlines were as colourful.

Thanks Flash, gotta BCAL project coming online in 48 hours...and that can only mean a BOAC project can't be too far behind.

Brings back great memories of 1980 on an unlimited airpass. It was a book of blank tickets that you would write yourself. I was upgraded to first class a few times and got to fly on a Calder 727.

Braniff gets you there with Flying Colors! What a treat to see two Calders, and the Master painting the nacelle of the South American DC-8. The fly by’s are absolutely stunning, and the leased AA 747 with the temporary BI logo on it is very rare. While Harding Lawrence’s dream didn’t have a happy ending, the good memories live on in this excellent tribute! ✈️

Hoping this week BA put on a flyby as their final 747's leave Heathrow for the last time - I won't bank on it though!

Thank you! Yeah..in my wildest dreams did I ever thought I'd find a clip of the ex-AA silver body BN jet and I have photos from seeing in DFW, still kicking myself for not doing VHS recordings back then. VHS was so crappy back then..I saw no future in it - Now I do, any recordings of that era are now valuable!

Love to see any photo or video of the parked DC-8’s at DAL after the shutdown. Sad that Wilford Brimley passed away yesterday (8/1/20). He was a great pitchman for Braniff II. ruclips.net/video/G_0XRw8urnk/видео.html

If I recall correctly, Braniff never had sniffed Florida nor had it ever touched a DC-8 until it bought Panagra.

I saw four (4) liverys for braniff jets, if you count the early 707/720s at Love Field obtained before Harding Lawrence hired artists and painted the growing fleet in the late 60s with the flying colors (red, beige, ocher, yellow, orange, light blue, dark blue, green, turquoise). The old livery was a traditional striped airplane consisting of red and blue stripes on a white and silver background down the sides with "Fly Braniff" on the front of the fuselage with the red stripe widening and turning downward to wrap around and under the front bottom of the nose under the cockpit, with "Braniff" written again in the wide red space and again in plain black letters on the tail. I saw a few of these 707s at Love Field mixed among the vast majority painted in the colors for other 707/720s, 727s and BAC-1-11s. I even saw a few Electras in the old livery as well as in colors. I don't recall seeing a BAC 1-11 in the old livery but bought and built a plastic model of a Braniff One-Eleven which had decals in this old livery.

As I gain more historic footage, you can count on more of this look into this particular past.

Interesting footage but I'm not clear what you mean by "colorized" in the title of this and the other DFW segments? That normally refers to black and white film that has been artificially colored, like old movies filmed in black and white, but your footage all looks like it was originally in color.
