@BellularNews I believe that you love Path of Exipe 2, but I worry a bit at sponsorship deals like this, if you for example have to report negatively on some development in the future regarding PoE or the developers of it. It can just create murkiness when there shouldn't be. I love your work still. This comment comes from a good place. Stay awesome
Fun fact: When the first planet was invaded the invasion level was 96.. we were totally supposed to lose judging by the level, but so many people came back to the game that we actually LIBERATED it. It was incredibly fun to test weapons agaisnt them and try to figure what works and what doesnt. The first day people were getting absolutely curbstomped by the Illuminates to the point that most matches were focused on main objetives and rush to extraction. AND without mentioning that these Illuminate forces are just the "scouts" so to speak(like said in the video), we didnt meet their full invasion force. Alot of their most powerful units didnt even appear yet
I would correct. The meta-system is solely based on Ratio, Like how much of the active players are on that planet. So player count itself wasn't what pushed it over the edge, but everyone being willing to ignore bots and bugs in favor of trying out the squids.
a friend of mine is obsessed with helldivers. I was watching the game awards and when i told him over a call "there is the illuminate and looks like vehicles as well" he about lost his mind. then he really went crazy when i told him it said out now.
Ive seen multiple people say that the live viewers of the game awards visibly and noticably dropped after the Helldivers 2 announcement. I didnt watch it myself, but if that's true that's incredibly funny.
As soon as I saw the "Out Now" I hopped on to check the galactic map. We got bombarded with alerts and the current MO was put on hold. Before the patch rolled out we saw that Calypso, a planet on the southern side of the map (which is usually calm) was made available. Then the patch rolled out and we saw the first sector in the galactic map to turn purple. The Battle for Calypso was a massive bloodbath, and an amazing experience. No one knew what to expect with the Illuminate or how to fight them, so we were all learning as the battle went on and sharing information and effective builds with other players. The MO we got with the patch was just to defend Calypso from one attack, but it was nearly impossible because of the strength that the Illuminate were attacking the planet with. But after a weekend and over 2 billion squids dead (and millions of Helldivers dead) we managed to clutch the defence with only a few minutes to spare.
Hd2 Release super hype -> lots of nerf patches, railgun nerfed, game sucks -> hmg buff patch, super hype -> more nerfs, game sucks -> eof release super hype -> it actually sucks, game sucks -> 63 day patch, super hype -> 2 months of no updates and no communication, game sucks -> illuminate drop, mad hype THE CYCLE CONTINUES
Helldivers has already experienced two events that would sink a normal game and it still keeps on ticking. They need to add difficulty through content and not through balancing, and the Illuminate have done an excellent job of that here. If they want to have more success then they need to continue to test and create events in an evolving fashion as they appear to be doing right now. It seems they have learned their lessons now they must continue to create excellent events that shape the galactic war and drive narrative, like Meridia.
When it's still being beaten over the head of the public long after its 15 minutes, yeah, no wonder the "ticking" is still going. Bellular hasn't been able to go a month without a "please play Helldivers" video. I like the channel content otherwise but the looping Helldivers advertising is feeling so transparent. There's a "NEW MINOR UPDATE, HELLDIVERS IS BACK GO PLAY IT OR BUY IT MORE TIMES" video every 3-4 weeks for the past six months.
Arrowhead's decisions to not take the knee-jerk reactions that so many others would and have done are what I think are the best moves for the game and the studio. Their humility as well to go "We've screwed up. We might screw up again. But we're going to keep putting out what we think are the best things for you, the player."... that's refreshing. And their slow work toward what seems to be long-term goals feels far more sustainable than almost any other company might have done.
Fighting the Illuminate for the first time was insane. At first I thought "Oh, its just a zombie event from halloween leftover...then the UFOs showed up, then the jetpacki g aliens showed up. I ran away, only to turn the corner and see the tripod mech towering over me. We are so back
It's amazing how well those tripod mechs can conceal themselves! All thanks to those urban environments with tall buildings. Like, you have to watch both ways before crossing the street or risk being scare-jumped
not that much tbh, most of the regions that got locked were smaller regions that Sony servers don't support. Massively sucks for people stuck in those regions, but let's not pretend that there are millions of people with consols/gaming PCs in those regions waiting to play.
@@ChessJourneyman Pretty sure corporations dont care where their money is coming from, just that they get it, which highlights Sony's PSN idiotism well.
I was hoping you would talk about it. The decision to scrap it as a Warbond and instead sell it off at a MUCH higher price as 2 Super Store pages seems like a step in the wrong direction, but also a decision that most likely came from Sony, not AH.
It is so fucking ironic they do this right as you release this video. Sony really is trying to beat out EA and Activision Blizzard as the premier villains of the gaming industry.
Playing on the Illuminate planets is like playing a multiplayer third person XCOM, except without Dr. Vahlen telling you not to use explosives and instead using a 380mm Orbital Barrage and a 120mm Orbital Barrage on the same location.
Helldivers is absolutely my favourite multiplayer game, i just wish that any of my friends would still play it and actually for once engage with the narrative. Most of my friends stopped playing because it got "repetitive" which i understand because for them the narrative didn't even exist. PS. before anyone says it, i don't want to play with randoms, simple as that
There’s something nice about saying to my gamer friends ‘The illuminate just attacked get on here’ (I even steam purchased for a friend who’d had a rough week) rather than ‘They’ve announced a DLC and it contains…’. I can got lost in the helldivers lore and it’s wonderful
Launch day a week ago was insane. First they shadow dropped the Illuminates and on the same day, shadow dropped a warbond also. Then a week later dropped a Killzone crossover which was handled horribly, currency wise and then the next day released the other half FOR FREE as an apology?! Never have I seen a gaming studio make such a quick turnaround in... well, everything.
From perspective of cassual player: 1. found game because of meme video 2. bought it to try if it is any good 3. got adicted 4. made 40 hours in five days 5. trying to get myself super earth flag to protect myself against illuminate mind control
Love that line from the dev admitting that they are likely to screw things up again. Remember what Swen Vincke said in his Game Awards speech the other day: "They understood the value of respect, that if they treated their developers and players well, the same developers and players would forgive them when things didn't go as planned"
Update on the Killzone 2 kerfuffle: Devs have responded marvelously; intended second page of store drops are being given to all players free, the Wasp is going to be a Major Order drop. Dive Free, for Freedom.
They have formidable speed. Together with their large numbers they can get overwhelming. And they definitely take a lot more hits than your basic bot or bug. Try to compare them by the amount of melee hits they require to get killed. I think it took me 6 hits for a Voteless.
The illuminate actually feel incomplete, it was disappointing at first. Then, uh, we noticed where their advances are moving. And now the fact that their forces feel incomplete is terrifying.
I hope there will be more and stronger units. Honestly i cant agree that they are some higher challenge. They definitely are much easier than superhelldive bugs. Just have weapons with a lot of bullets, the flying gun backpack idk now name rover?, gatling sentry and then its quite easy.
@@Orthuzz Yeah the video creator seems misinformed, it almost feels like they didn't actually play against the faction. Illuminates are missing crucial units such as their titan equivalent. They are 100% the easiest faction to fight on super helldive right now. Especially because every stratagem works against them.
The system of hard counters arrowhead initially envisioned might have been ideal on paper, but having experienced the actual implementation it became miserable because their optimization clearly slanted in specific styles gameplay. If everyone needed to bring specific weapons just to handle one or two chargers, then that’s what the game becomes about.
YOU needed to bring specific weapons. I didn't need to bring specific weapons. I used whatever off meta loadouts I wanted, the rest of you refused to play with things and learn what's unconventionally good about them. And when I tried to help people by showing them how most of their complaints were self inflicted and entirely within their control to solve? Bunch of man babies who can't stand the idea that they could possibly be incorrect about something.
About the "FOMO" for the stun-baton, it should be pointed out that items in the store rotate. In other words if you don't get it now (maybe because you don't have enough Super Credits) you can just buy it the next time it's back with credits you've earned in-game of you don't want to spend the cash.
@@George89999 That's still FOMO. Even if you are assured that the item will remain in circulation (which you are not), you still don't know when it will come again, since it¨s randomized. There is no practical reason for why the store is like this, other than trying to force sales NOW ("what if i miss it next time" - exemplary FOMO)
@@tortepasti2 if there is a new thing that you have to wait a long time to get your hands on if you dont pay money, that’s exactly where fomo comes in, even if it’s not permanently gone
18:22 I think it is a huge missed opportunity for every modern AAA game to not have cross-progression. It should be a baseline day 1 feature. Marvel Rivals finally announced it, which is good. Cross-progression is the one reason I came back to Warframe after years of not playing it, and I bought a few things since I came back to it.
I love how arrowhead is able to actually take the time and make sure that the enemies work properly before they attack, but also how it ties into the lore of the actual game. Like, you don’t really want to send your troops into war unless they’re ready.
Before the update: The automatons and Terminid threats have been contained, the galaxy is at peace. After the update: Squids appeared out of nowhere, the galaxy is no longer at peace.
To be fair, the stun baton in the store was probably to give a cheaper option to players who didnt want to spend 1000 SC to get the new warbond which the only other melee weapon is locked behind.
are the melee weapons even practical in hd2? i haven't played it since the last major nerfs but back then it was suicide to fight anything up close unless it had a wide spread
@@lowbearful my brother in democracy, when paired with the +100% Melee damage armour from the Jungle warbond you literally break the knees of the voteless in one swing and when swarmed it viable to just swing around you and survive, even withiut the +100% melee armour
@@lowbearfuldepend how you use it, the game is pretty much gives you the way to kill enemies, and the stunlock them till dead or the combination of melee and shooting works, also hitbox matter and hitting enemy heads can be 1 shot as long as you land it
No. It doesn’t take that long to farm super credits. It costs 1/5th as much as the whole warbond. The warbond has WAY more value. They put it out for completionists.
@@cjyoung5635 pricey would be justified if all the killzone collab content was in a warbond that costs 1500-2000 sc, hell, maybe even 2500sc max but as it stands now, there are multiple different super store rotations that are needed if you want all the items before they rotate out and you need to get them in the upcoming months via rotating super store that plus the price itself: part 1 of the collab costing 1975sc (iirc) total with the primary costing 615sc (over half or even 80%+ of a regular warbond if you factor in included sc of the bond by itself), enough for almost 2 regular warbonds PLUS the next rotation costing the same if not more because of 2 weapons most likely being in it, brings the total to roughly the same price that was initially paid for the game itself tldr; so in comparison 4000+ sc seperate purchases FOMO release vs. potential 2500sc always available warbond that bundles everything together AND returns roughly 300sc (or at least warbonds did until now)
@@carlmain2043 Dude, in the same statement you called the weapons/armor FOMO you actually say that they return in the upcoming months (which isnt true, its 40 days). By definition what you say is wrong. Either take 2 hours and farm the SC or dont, but stop the yapping already.
You can't cancel people's summer holidays in Sweden or anywhere in the EEA for that matter. You can just move it to another time which means you're in most cases just moving the problem around. On top of that if the employer moves it they also have to compensate the employee for any costs.
Now we really just need damned Kusony to unlock the currently locked regions.. And there would be sooo many more people who would get the game and get us so many more players..
Harsh reality is that you might get a few hundred....max. Majority of the nations locked out do not have the Infrastructure or Economy to enable a luxury like Videogames. With vast majority of the world's population of gamers being concentrated within the 1st world, with Helldivers player-base being like 95% North-americans and West-Europeans. Though many cry foul at the sudden lockout. If you look at the graphs you genuinely cannot spot the shenanigans having done anything.... Don't get me wrong. What Sony did was an inexcusable thing to do suddenly out of nowhere with no regard of consumer-base. But lets not delude ourselves in thinking like there are tens of thousands of players that will suddenly rush in if the lock was lifted.
I hope and pray that happens. I'll be back on my Super Destroyer in a heartbeat if they unlock the regions, but until then I'm standing on business and not touching this game.
@@OneBiasedOpinion it’s a non issue, the guy in the reply above mine explained it pretty well. Imo bunch of yall basically got psyop’d into that by Helldivers antis who were trying to find a reason to cancel it. You’re missing out on one of the most fun multiplayer experiences out there.
@@Freakincident hey, you do you man. I don't mind "missing out" on something that violates my principles. I was initially one of the people pushing back hardest against HD2 antis back when the first nerfs hit well before May. I argued nonstop with people about why the railgun actually needed to be tuned down and that they were just whining because meta weapon bad now. Don't go pushing that "psy-op'd by antis" nonsense on me. I made a conscious and admittedly difficult choice to step away from the game until Sony stops mistreating their customers, and I'm standing by that decision now. If you want to tell yourself it's a non-issue, go ahead, but I won't let you try to gaslight me as well.
@@kenethernandez6246 i think people are more concerned about how this monetization might affect future content releases, i.e. gutting warbonds and instead putting weapons in the store (with these higher prices)
@Bobbysan Those are fair points to make and I want people to speak out so it doesn't happen. I simply think that the reaction is bit extreme from some people acting like the game is ruined over optional content. I think it's fair to tell the devs the price was too high and to not include weapons in the super store. Some people are doing a bit too much is my only problem.
I’ll say this. 200 credits for a baton isn’t bad at all. I would much rather pay once for something rather than pay monthly for a ton of things I may or may not get, much less even get around to using. The unspoken and important part is that it is possible to get that many credits in two matches, unlikely but possible. So, if you really want that item, just play for a bit and you’ll get it. You can do it in less than a full gaming session.
4:00 How many times do i need to tell Americans and southern Europeans, many people dont play games during the summer, the numbers is always getting low for every game during the summer, especially then it comes to gamers in the Nordic regions. we go OUT! we dont sitt inside playing! And Summer vacation is holy stuff here in Sweden, i would have been surprised if Arrowhead worked through the summer, if Arrowhead did that, the Swedish Law could F them up properly. but firstly we value the summer time for sure.
Those 100+ countries can still play the game legally if they've already purchased it before the PSN restriction - just the game isn't available for purchase in those countries anymore. Go and politely ask Sony themselves instead of whining in front of Arrowhead...
@@TrickyJebusbecause is not AH or the game fault when Sony is doing it for every other game they have, Sony really having a bad year and they still wonder why they keep fking it up is just funny
No, they did not, and the current players are blindly defending this as "well they weren't going to get THAT many extra players from those regions anyway lol." It is really sad how little it takes to sway gaming communities. Small wonder the hobby is being milked the way it is.
I must admit that on the first day we were struggling a little and needed 3rd person to help us out in clearing short time missions (those 12min). Due to specific terrain and amount of enemies spawning on Super Helldive it proved to be more difficult than clearing maps on other fronts.
I had about 8 000 SC just from playing so I buy the Warbonds without having to spend real money, and after buying all the Killzone colab items, I still have over 5 000 SC.
A little more recent example of what you where talking about with the weapons in the superstore thing: The recent Killzone crossover did have some backlash over the pricing of crossover items, many people where upset that the crossover items where in the superstore instead of a warbond, or something similar. In response, Arrowhead increased the rotation time for the current page of crossover items and gave players the items which where supposed to be in a 2nd page for free and responding to player feedback in the Helldivers 2 subreddit.
Game is still packaged with a rootkit for PC users, can we stop heaping blind praise on a team that ignores a clear cut problem with their product just because the game says "lol democwacy xD"? I could almost swear this channel has turned into Helldiver News.
Reminder for everyone. This is a mid size studio AT BEST. They are having to troubleshoot, innovate on a dead engine, support, manage, and update a game TWO ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE bigger than expected. It can take 18 months for a new dev to get fully up to speed. It hasn't been 12 months yet if they successfully hired a dude day of launch. They are STILL ramping up after the CATASTROPHICALLY successful launch of one of the biggest games of a decade.
@@Dempdawg11 It's NOT. But it's good to remind us that this is not a AAA studio. It's a mid size studio at best. With mid size studio resources and manpower. And management practices. And support expectations. And more. They are in a rather unique situation. All the responsibility of a huge big name release without the buildup and prep to do so. And no, you can't just throw another server on the barbie to handle extra load. Any more than throwing another cook in the kitchen means the meal is done faster. It MIGHT help. But they also might need a bigger kitchen first to deal with having another cook there anyway.
at 500h. i do have all the warbons for free .. and i own everything of the superstore too. exept the the full killzone kit . but i will probably have it before the end of the week.
What I like about the Illuminate regarding their design is they're challenging without making weapons and strategems obsolete. Light pen weapons are viable to all, but the Harvesters. We all remember a time when all non-tank busting weapons were pretty useless. It's refreshing to be able to dust off old gear and find new ways to liberate.
Honestly it make sense for each faction to be a difficulty scale. Bugs are design to be cut down in the thousands per mach with the difficulty being overrun and flank by the trash while you deal with the big armor elites. Bots shoot back and they love put you in cover while the bezerkers rush you down and explosions detonate around you to take you out of cover. The squids are a mix with the zombies that hit very hard and numerous, the aliens that are armor with the flying ones being specially annoying to deal and the tripods one shoot you with all its weapons. And the best part, depending of your playstyle and likes, aome factions can be more enjoyable to you (i love fighting thw bots, specially using the ballistic shield and the eagle type heavy pistol)
The rejoining games when you crashed is great, but somehow I feel like I've been crashing a lot more lately since the update... also, it's really annoying that when I come back, it's like I wasn't there before for the rest of the mission, I lose all the kills and other stats... not a huge problem, just little annoying, the bigger problem is that I keep crashing
I remember a lot of the “strange occurrences“ that turned out to be just their teammates, being dumbasses with scorchers, and when the control tower was being blown up, sometimes it’ll bug out and keep the lights up after destruction into me and my friends were like: “it’s illuminate! It’s the illuminate!”
One would think he would mention that was the actual reason for the incredibly bad ratings. But instead he praised how they "did so good" communicating with their base 🤡🌍
@@gensofury Not really. The game was buggy af still, had garbage weapon balance and no real new missions or maps. Most casual players dont consume gaming news.
Sadly...no. If one looks at the player-trend and compares it with other peers in the co-op genre :the number went down, because the genre just doesn't have a high-sustaining number. Stuff like Sony's meddling and the balancing batches that were according to many "killing the game", can not be pinpointed. Co-Op games by their nature are more casual than competitive multiplayer and will often taper out to a sustained population between 15k to 45k. For people just eventually have had their fill and take a break from it. On that HD2's swinging inbetween ~30k as a floor and spiking to ~60k after a patch was honestly very healthy.
@@Spinexus It obviously also didnt help that various youtube channels and subreddits stirred up drama, brigaded steam reviews and discouraged about every other play to even try the game. This goes as far as DDOS attacks to mess with server connectivity (not that they didnt have their fair share of connection problems already). Sony drama was legit, but the rest, especially the crybabys yapping about the game being too hard because of "nerfed" weapons, is fabricated drama at best. These are people who wont put a few hours in to learn about bot/bug front and about what weapons/gems to use. And now, the reality is that the game is wayyyyy to easy even on 10.
One of the things that I respect most and love most about helldivers is the fact that even if you take time off away from the game you can jump right back into it and not feel "left behind or "underleveled" like you would in a lot of live service games. So many live service games if you take so much as a week off from playing the game all of a sudden you feel like you're trying to play catch-up with everybody else. I bought helldivers maybe three or four weeks after it launched and over this last year have taken a couple of stents where I might not play the game for two whole months because shit goes on in life. Yet every time I boot up the game it feels fantastic! Even if I haven't touched the game in 2 months, I get back on and it feels like I was on it just yesterday.
Once the novelty of the Illuminate wears off, the player numbers will drop fairly dramatically again. Granted, it'll be some time so long as Arrowhead doesn't drop the ball and screw up again like they did... several times.
Did they fix their community management problems? Did they reverse the country restrictions? Did they properly apologize for the Sony account situation, or at least the cape based off the negative reviews they teased?
They were the ones who decided to lift the account restriction knowing it had to come back eventually. They stole money from a lot of people and never addressed it, we're happy to let Sony be the scapegoat for something that they've been requiring forever.
Nope lel, The cows got angry because they squeezed a bit too hard last time. So now that the cows are happy again its time for another squeeze. And would you look at that another greedy 'mistake' has just happened. Nothing will ever change with how spineless the gaming community is as a whole.
The cape is reserved for when Sony gets their fingers out of their arses and lets other countries buy the game again. Cape's been ready for months, but releasing it would be in very poor taste while Sony has all those countries by the balls.
@@LethalOwl sony never planned to release in those countries. Arrowhead was the one who didnt play by their deal and now were supposed to pretend their the victims in this. Sony required psn from the start arrowhead didnt implement it and decided to sell to countries they shouldnt. Sony came to enforce the terms of their deal fair and square and now apparently they are satan for being proper businessmen that follow contracts.
The community management doesn't seems to be a problem anymore, I mean since the drama the only thing CM does now is Announcement and Q&A for most, also we have cool guy like Twinbeard for a while until his contract ended with AH, now he just chill with the playerbase AH can't really do anything about their shitty publisher decision, since Sony still double down on PSN in other games too, the cape is on hold till then
High-difficulty Illuminate are legitimately challenging instead of overwhelming, like the bugs and bots are. They reward target prioritization and positioning rather than just throwing as many hulks and chargers at you as they can. Patrols are broken up by solo watcher thingies that call in mayhem rather than every patrol having 10+ enemies, one of which hides behind a rock, that will call in a bot drop/bug breach within seconds of noticing you. I honestly love them compared to diff 10 bugs/bots, they scale up so so much better
Oh but the squeeze has begun. 1975 SC for one armor set, one weapon, and some cosmetics from what should have been a warbond is ridiculous. The Concord Tax has begun and it will get worse before it gets better.
That's interesting. With some high level players, we were absolutely dunking on the Illuminate. I'm talking super helldives with time to spare. HMG on Strider joints is super effective and flamethrowers / arc weapons are good for crowd control on the Voteless. Prioritize the SAM sites and the mission is yours. We figured that they're missing some high end enemies and tanks that haven't been rolled out yet.
I disagree about the Best Ongoing game, I think that 100% goes to No Man's Sky. They turned that game into a fucking masterpiece with a very dedicated playerbase with tons of free, very large updates. What an absolute oversight
NMS is far more buggy than HD2, I purchased it recently with my wife, we each have over 100 hours in it, and she's almost quit due to bugged questlines. We played co-op and she couldn't see or interact with my freighter. It's a fun game, and has incredible scope, but at the same time it's not very deep and quite buggy.
@@Jay_bit tbh I've played this game with friends and tu current multiplayer leaves to be desired ... never even heard of anyone capable to fight a sentinel freighter with friends as it just goes invisible (even tried it myself), I guess the nexus missions and base building does work so its not all bad but fighting is definetly something I expected to be working
It’s refreshing for a company to offer a genuinely awesome product to make a profit. It’s so tiresome to see predatory corporate slop that’s abandoned at the first sign of turbulence, I love seeing a team believe in their work and power through hard times to prove that their belief was not misplaced.
I loved Helldivers two. Honestly the developers had a near perfect game back in March of last year and through their inexplicable meddling that ZERO players asked for, they took the fun and excitement right out of the game. This is what needs to be studied is developer driven toxicity for absolutely NO REASON at all. I'm happy they turned it around and we are all playing again after taking a 4 month break.. but there was ZERO reason why this needed to happen.
At least for my friends and I, we stopped because we were playing it almost 24/7 when it came out, but eventually got hella bored and stopped. My friends might not be playing it anymore, but I’ve gotten back into it, and am having a lot of fun with it
As many ups and down this game has. It’s now my favorite game currently. Started when the game came out. PVE is so much more enjoyable than the PVP slug fest in most games. I can sit down after a long shift driving a semi truck, boot up Helldivers and play couple of matches with friends and feel good about it all. I don’t need to overdo it. Even as good as my group is, we still meet challenges on the highest difficulty.
Okay, I'm gonna say my 2 cents here. The Killzone Collab is not as big of a deal you might think it is, mainly, because of one key factor I see, that being that the Killzone armor and weapon. Now, Super Credits can be farmed, it's a very slow farm, but if you wanna build up some Super Credits, it's an option. But given the free content the game has cranked out, I am more than willing to help. Now, I am not concerned about it one bit so long as one thing stays true. The Killzone armor and such are just _in Superstore Rotation._ Basically meaning, that this isn't their only time in the shop, so if say, your not quite willing to shell out the cash right away, you can pick it up later. Also, the devs are looking into reworking the SuperStore, and relooking at how how their microtranasctions are working. Frankly, I think they just honestly fumbled this one. Edit: The rest of the Killzone Crossover is provided for free. For everyone. _Have a little faith guys._
Agreed it's not as bad as the community reaction makes it seem. Game isn't ruined or anything over optional content. They just need to get their prices right and not put weapons in the super store.
@@memes_the_dna_of_the_soul5487 It still sets an unease in me. Back when the game started they basically stated only cosmetics would be in the superstore. But here we are where they first put the stun button melee weapon, and now plan to have 3 primaries for the collab be set in the store. Oh and let’s not forget stratagems being in the warbonds too. Yeah sure we can farm SC but at the rate you can get farming and for all these warbonds and store things combined? It definitely seems not worth the time to get so much for a newer player.
@@edboi2154 Devs need to eat too. Frankly, if putting a few bucks into the game will get us things like the Illuminate, I'm okay with supporting the items. If you don't want to spend the money on the Killzone items, you don't have to, the rifle is mid, and the amor passive is nice, but people moving it up to "Pay to Win" are kinda trippin. It offers no sufficent advantage that cannot be mitigated with skill. The other pimaries aren't confirmed to be the store yet, as far as I know, I haven't been online recently. I don't think a new player needs to buy every warbond. I do not have every warbond Unlocked. I do not Grind super credits, I legit got some of the money I used for buying super credits by selling TF2 Items on the Steam Marketplace.
Part of me wants to be glad it is doing well, but until 177 nations worth of people are allowed to buy and play it again without risk of their accounts being banned for TOS violations it wont get another second out of me. It took them over half a year to stop being toxic to their own community, and even then the devs act like pissant children in interviews while the CEO is doing his damnest to earn the communities trust back after their community leads and pr team actively killed their own game
but also if they unbanned all country and no major update plus with that previous update is this really making it better or just making the games deads?
we actually were over 190k divers on a single planet, and the in game currency is not only relatively cheap, but also farmable very easy. i have been farming for the newest warbond and the first crossover items and got enough super credits in about 2-3 hours of 4 player farming.
I had a lot of trouble playing helldivers 2 during peak hours due to frequent disconnects. When I could play, myself and my friends found that everything difficulty 6 and higher felt the same. It was plateaued to be the same. And once we figured out the enemy weakpoints and what loadouts to bring into the field, the illuminate were less of a threat. Harvesters (the walkers) have shields that deplete faster the more things impact them. So use a machine gun or shot gun to make them vulnerable before hitting them with anti-tank. Or break one of its legs with autocannon or antimaterial rifle. Good luck out there, helldivers!
To be fair it's incredibly illegal to stop people in Sweden from their planned (and paid) vacation time. I think it's sort of similar to that Nintendo myth where their management "took a paycut because they're just so damn nice", when in reality that's just what a Japanese company has to do, by law, before they start firing people. If they could have, they absolutely would have cancelled that vacation if that wasn't literally illegal in the country they are in.
AH in recent months is the exemplary gaming company that listens to their audience, takes care of their employee, have stellar PR and achieve financial and popularity success by simply sticking to making a amazing game with sheer confidence and creativity. They are what a modern gaming company should be. They don't blame anyone but themselves and come back with successful updates. They put all the other gaming companies like ubisoft and bioware to absolute shame despite the glaring differences in resource and history.
I've been a steady player since just before the PSN debacle. More than balancing udates, new stuff and the Illuminate, it's the player base that kept me in the game. These players are overwhelmingly fun to team with and mostly competent in what needs doing and how best to do it.
Lets be honest here sony will never allow those countries back. At this point its basically their punishment to helldiver devs for renaging on the deal. They lost their psn users so helldivers loses 100+ countries of possible players its tit for tat.
@@Sinaeb neither arrowhead nor sony ever wanted to sell to those countries in the first place. Arrowhead signed a deal requiring psn account then screwed sony over by not implementing it and selling to countries they shouldnt. The amount of comments saying to get a vpn or fk off is disgusting tbh.
Aaand then they added weapons to the superstore... Democracy damn you Arrowhead. I love you for being so near perfect, and hate you for missing the mark when it's so very close.
You should try the first game, where half the stratagems and weapons were hidden behind DLC (with no way to unlock through gameplay). This is mild compared to the past.
12:26 i grinded every warbond up until the omens of tyranny and didnt buy any super credits. The reason i bought SC for this warbond is cuz i wanted to support the devs, i would've grinded this one out too if it wasnt for that
Yeah, I would check the community again, the crossover store bullshit has just nuked all that good work, I would expect the numbers to drop off again quickly and the reviews to get bombed again. This one smells seriously of Sony interference. Its the equivalent of a 4 times price increase on a war-bond, Pay to Win mechanics and as has been mentioned they have halved the amount of super credits you can find in game. This feels like a really bad direction and I think they are going to get slammed for it
They should be slammed already for continuing this BS forced PSN linking requirement. Sad that exorbitant MTX is what it takes to get people upset, but axing loads of your fellow gamers because of an arbitrary and useless extra account requirement is cool and dandy.
someone joked on another video saying the illuminate are visitting their old buddies from before the war but it makes sense for them to try and also weaponize bugs against us now that i heard the illuminate are more of an "endgame" or "higher level" enemy that would be a simple way of increasing the bugs strength while also letting higher level players play against bugs again without just throwing more bug breaches at you ay might as well give them new abilities.
As long as they don't make the game avialable where they removed it I keep my negative review. And sony is on my blacklist. Honestly with how expensive games are. Beeing more hostile towards big game devs who do things you don't agree with can help save money or put it more effectively in other games that interest you.
John Helldiver told me, specifically, that Managed Democracy™ needed *my* help. Edit: I joke but the PSN bullshit means I can't play with a friend of mine from Kenya so I'm not removing my negative review.
ive only gotten 10 super credits per pick up for like months now, that was nerfed back in the early daays because frankly, it was really easy to get to 1000
I actually have unlocked every warbond and maxed them all out except for the newest one but close to it. With spending a cent of extra money to buy super credits you can unlock everything via in game progress but it does take awhile.
So I hadn’t played in a good while but I had to come back after they shadow dropped the update.

They seriously need a difficulty 11 and 12 soon. I don't want nobody whining and pissing themselves about it being hard because that's THE POINT
Arrowhead's decisions to not take the knee-jerk reactions that so many others would and have done are what I think are the best moves for the game and the studio. Their humility as well to go "We've screwed up. We might screw up again. But we're going to keep putting out what we think are the best things for you, the player."... that's refreshing. that plus the price itself:
part 1 of the collab costing 1975sc (iirc) total with the primary costing 615sc (over half or even 80%+ of a regular warbond if you factor in included sc of the bond by itself), enough for almost 2 regular warbonds PLUS the next rotation costing the same if not more because of 2 weapons most likely being in it, brings the total to roughly the same price that was initially paid for the game itself

@@ГеоргийБистрицкий yup, kind of ridiculous.

@@Foxhood well, i still can't buy the game
"They will mess up"
A couple days later
Killzone Crossover: "You called?"
The community management doesn't seems to be a problem anymore, I mean since the drama the only thing CM does now is Announcement and Q&A for most, also we have cool guy like Twinbeard for a while until his contract ended with AH, now he just chill with the playerbase
AH can't really do anything about their shitty publisher decision, since Sony still double down on PSN in other games too, the cape is on hold till then
High-difficulty Illuminate are legitimately challenging instead of overwhelming, like the bugs and bots are.
And all while Sony skims your Steam data. Because if you want to play their precious games, you must kiss the ring.
The fact I went back to launch day crashes and disconnects tells me the servers were getting overloaded again.

True but blame Sony publishing for that, not Arrowhead Devs.

@@KraziEyevin This is just untrue, sounds like user error. The game is not buggy, like at all.
My friends might not be playing it anymore, but I’ve gotten back into it, and am having a lot of fun with it
that ad was a bit long
As many ups and down this game has.
The Killzone armor and such are just _in Superstore Rotation._
Basically meaning, that this isn't their only time in the shop, so if say, your not quite willing to shell out the cash right away, you can pick it up later.

It still sets an unease in me.
It definitely seems not worth the time to get so much for a newer player.
they do need a superstore rework imo, as time goes on it will take longer to reach the same page the next time
I dont care about the price. I care about the weapons just sucking ass. I dont want another liberator bro.

Devs need to eat too.
Nothing gets better then having an alert go off after getting back on the destroyer. And then being one of the first holding the line.
This video about Helldivers is brought to you by the game that is trying to take over hd2's place in my day
I survived Malvelon Creek and the battle of Calypso, War is hell but it never stops Helldiver see you on the battlefield
I still can't support any sony published games while they are still banning it in more then half the countries in the world for no valid reason.
It’s just that they can’t really shake Sony of their back

The Illuminate and Killzone collab in one week is wild. They got me back full-time with that.
We are back as fuck.

They put all the other gaming companies like ubisoft and bioware to absolute shame despite the glaring differences in resource and history.
Will not play this game until they reverse the country restrictions.
I've been a steady player since just before the PSN debacle. More than balancing udates, new stuff and the Illuminate, it's the player base that kept me in the game. These players are overwhelmingly fun to team with and mostly competent in what needs doing and how best to do it.
GO helldivers 2!
Then that killzone store situation and still 100+ countries deserving to comeback!
Lets be honest here sony will never allow those countries back. At this point its basically their punishment to helldiver devs for renaging on the deal. They lost their psn users so helldivers loses 100+ countries of possible players its tit for tat.

Such a nothingburger of an issue, the playerbase can't help but be constantly hyperbolic.
someone joked on another video saying the illuminate are visitting their old buddies from before the war but it makes sense for them to try and also weaponize bugs against us now that i heard the illuminate are more of an "endgame" or "higher level" enemy that would be a simple way of increasing the bugs strength while also letting higher level players play against bugs again without just throwing more bug breaches at you ay might as well give them new abilities.
As long as they don't make the game avialable where they removed it I keep my negative review. And sony is on my blacklist. Honestly with how expensive games are.
