Nice film! Brought back memories of hunting with my father! He wore wrangler jeans and or wool pants with wool flannels and whites boots. This had to be filmed in the 70’s. The whole time watching this I had Jim Croce I got a name in my head. Love it!
Terry is a legend in the north. Both famous and some might say infamous. I consider Terry to be one of my finest mentors and friends. He was there for me when few others were. I’m long overdue for a visit. Great video!
Wow!!! What an amazing look into the past. And that Debbie was incredible! 400 yard shot on a knee! That goes to show that hunting can be done in its simplest form without feeling like you’re lacking because you can’t afford to dress like the pros. An accurate rifle, a good piece of glass on top and will along side determination and you’re good to go. Just make sure it’s a Weatherby!
Weatherby's have Thunderbolt power. The Ads in the 60s said so. All hold over teachings are ignored at least for the first mile. They have laser beam accuracy and tremendous dynamic shocking power and the animal drops dead instantly.
Weatherby .300 is without a doubt one of the finest rifles/calibers there is. If I were limited to two calibers it would be Weatherby .300 mag and 30.06
Wow that was really cool. I noticed that Kittery Trading post was a sponsor. I grew up in Maine and a trip to Kittery had to be followed by a stop at the trading post. Wow the history of Weatherby is far reaching.
Scoped fully loaded with sling that rifle is over 10 pounds. Not a lightweight to be carrying in mountains. Now we have rifles that weigh 6 lb much easier to carry in the High Country.
Unfortunately those days are gone Quality is gone, and things are built with the only purpose to make money - instead that delivery top notch object. Reflect on this argument, Weatherby.

Wow great Weapon
Great shot
The Weatherby rifle is a '70s rifle. It has the premier scope brought out in the early 70s. The barrel is the long heavy 26 inch number 2 Contour.
I love it.
Very cool.

Debbie ...you are a gorgeous Viking Warrior Princess
@Weatherby What year was this film made?
What year was the film made....anyone know?
George Kluchy made a lot of hunting videos in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. You can still find his films (VHS format)
I'm guessing '81?
It’s spelled dall. 🤦♂️
I have seen it spelled this way in really old books, I don't know if the spelling changed over the years or what.
