      @@johnlucas6683not necessarily. It is estimated that there is always like 5-10% or so in a whole population but not evenly distributed in every scene. It MIGHT be that there are more gay closeted men in rap than in other professions but it could also just attract fewer gays. Seems sus though, as crime is romanticised and prison is the most homosocial environment there is.

      They were parodying reality... rap has always been gay. like hardcore gay. Beyond hardcore even. Just go and look at 70's and 80's and watch rap videos. They are like censored gay porn movies. Bum DMC and Gaymaster jay were wow oh wow. Now they are reverends who preach gay hate, then go home with an entourage of 12+ men! No women insight. Women are not even allowed to work in their houses. No, hip hop has always been closeted central. Just look back at 1977-78 all the original rappers were gay fellas from art and dancing classes. None of them had any music skill. And now if you research what happened to them. They either died of aids, turned to religious nutjobs to hide deeper in the closet. Or still rap about hating gays while being gay...

      "All About the Benjamins" is a song by the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. (Biggie Smalls). 'Benjamins' refers to 100 dollar bills. However, in Phil Lamarr's "gay" version, it just refers to a bunch of dudes named Benjamin. lol

    Looking back at the Madtv skits I took for granted, they were smart and actually pretty accurate for the time and beyond (look at "the Ashley Simpson show" skit)...I wish FOX didn't Axe Madtv. I truly miss those days :''( RIP MADTV

    • @candymadeofdrugs
      @candymadeofdrugs 9 лет назад

      Gobbles wells i've been thinking why Fox took Mad off the air, and it's pretty much all about money, Mad had a larger audience than SNL but Mad was not mainstream they weren't afraid of anything they made fun of everyone and everything, Race, Sexuality, Stereotypes you name it MAD did it. The industry needed something as plastic and mainstream as SNL and in this world there could not be two sketch shows, the one that brought the most money won.

    • @xthatwhiteguyx
      @xthatwhiteguyx 9 лет назад +3

      candymadeofdrugs It was cancelled because of ratings... it really is that simple. If you watched the last 2 seasons, you would have noticed it was falling out of favor quite rapidly. The show moved to some weird nightclub-like setting and lost most of its key players/writers.
      Your conspiracy theory and idea that it had more followers than SNL are laughable.

    • @orangejjay

    • @JoeDirtisawsome
      @JoeDirtisawsome 7 лет назад +5

      Family guy didn't predict anything. They make thousands of jokes. Statistically speaking some of these jokes would turn out true. The creators didn't actually know that Bruce was actually trans.

    • @AnastasiaLUVSU

      Considering this skit was released around the time of the height of gangsta rap, it's making fun of the whole genre. Snoop, Tupac, Biggie spoke of how much they admire and respect their homies that Mad Tv was just making a mockery of how much they actual love each other in a homosexual way.
