It's 2018, I'm listening to this for the first time, and I _really_ need a follow-up on the DIY colonoscopy guy. Because if they couldn't afford a colonoscopy then they _definitely_ couldn't afford the emergency medical treatment that inevitably resulted from a DIY colonoscopy.
As a non-American, this entire issue is just mind-boggling..... if you can't afford... a colonoscopy.... you can't afford.... emergency care? The phrase "can't afford emergency care" is so deeply insane. I hope this doesn't come across as gloating or anything like that. I really just mean..... I hope you all stay safe over there. I hope you find a way out of this mess. Solidarity.
@@shockofthenew It's actually even worse than that, because sometimes your healthcare provider will check with the insurance company to make sure you're covered for some procedure only for the insurance people to come back _after_ it's been done and say they've decided that you weren't covered after all and you owe your doctor $10,000. It's literally evil.
@@illuminati.official Evil is really the only word for it. In a civilised society health care should be a right not a privilege. I know saying that is 'controversial' in the US.... and that in itself tells you how deeply rooted the problem is. Hope you're staying safe
The funniest thing about the colonoscopy thing is that even if they managed to somehow managed to ram a camera into their colon without perforating their bowels and dying, they wouldn't have any idea what to look for. Or even if they DID know what to look for, they wouldn't be able to get it treated anyway because they couldn't even afford the colonoscopy! So why even do it?! I am utterly baffled by how illogical it is

I was NOT expecting for a) Griffin to have any kind of incel energy, b) for it to be consistently present until at LEAST thusfar, and c) that there is at least one person who was an incel who has wholesome energy about it (ie, is horny and sad about it, but does NOT have any bitterness towards others about it)
