That was a injury but it wasn't the injury that put her out of commission. In 2004 I believe it was, she injured herself again during a performance and continued working on it then when she was shooting the video for Outrageous with Snoop a few months later she injured it so badly that she was never able to finish the video and had to cancel an entire tour. She hasn't been able to perform the same ever since.

This is probably my 3rd favourite performance of hers, the fact that she was so prodigious at age 17...she appears like she has been in the industry forever(even though it was nearly a year at that time). I favour grace over anything else and this is why Spears is one of my favourite dancers and my favourite female popstar. She may not have the greatest voice but her stage presence and performance was what made her. Many singers of her time even with a better voice could not command the level of stardom she did. Haters need to give her credit where credit is due. She was indeed an icon of her time.

This is such a REALLY INCREDIBLE PERFORMANCE. She has such a Really incredible voice!!!!! She can Really dance and sing!!!!!
Well only the intro was her singing live. The rest was most likely a recorded live track. It's impossible to dance and sing that smoothly. Even people who are incredible dancers who do sing live, pause dancing to sing. So I'm not putting her down.
No one else can beat her dancing though.

From start to finish she owned that audience and us viewers watching to keep wanting more. Damn she did her thing here. The way it was set up for the stairs and then she goes down stairs and she takes off that jacket while the fan is flowing In her hair and then she dances her ass off. And did you see how she was looking at the crowd And the camera there?!. She was like NOW WATCH ME!!! AND We were. Encore. Encore!! Epic performance. No one like her!

I believe this was her first big TV show where she showed off her dancing skills cuz the one in may 1999 world music awards she couldn't dance cuz of her hurt knee. but three months later Britney came back and showed everybody in the room she knows how to put on s show like nobody's business. so damn proud of her when I saw this on TV.
