the noises the driller makes are just ORGASMIC. the driller is what woke me up in the theaters. someone tugged at my shoulder telling me Shockwave was on, I looked up and I couldn't see much. And then the driller crashed through the skyscraper. GOOD GOD. the noise it made had me jump out of my chair.

He was also one of the deadliest Decepticon assasins that Megatron has at his disposal. He was said by some to be the only Decepticon who could defeat Megatron in combat.
Or better yet, let him show us a tutorial on how to make animations like this and provide us links to the models. Maybe we can do great stuff with them ourselves. Of course, that probably won't happen for a long time, but better late than never.

The movies suck in character placement and removal. Jazz, Jolt, Mirage, and Lockdown also suffered the same fate, and neither of them should've been removed so quickly, in fact, Jazz should've never died at all. And no, it's not because he's a Pontiac btw. Ratchet is a Hummer, so there is absolutely no excuse for that. Unlike Jazz, he was the second strongest character on the team, he was second in command after Optimus Prime, and he was the fastest in the entire films. (and still is) And Megatron was fucking HUGE compared to Optimus in the first movie, so of course it made Jazz and Bumblebee look tiny compared to him at the time, but if Jazz was still alive, he would be more than half the size close to DOTM Megatron.
It's very in-character for Shockwave to let his pet driller worm experiment thing do the work for him while he takes potshots, very logical, why waste time doing everything yourself?

This is my favorite of the Bay redesigns, it made Shockwave a beast rather than the casual planner in the background. Bay’s version is why I love this character. That’s the only thing he did better though tbh.

Yeah he has the brains to be the villain and even though starscream is SIC shockwave comments on how he's not surprised that starscream couldn't take out an inferior being meaning sam. Him being the scientist means nothing. We know starscream is bumbling but I wonder how dotm would've went with shockwave in command. I also find it ironic that I brought down my Transformers Prime Beast Hunters voyager class Shockwave downstairs with me and I was going to mess around with it but I wanted to watch a video and I stumbled upon your new Transformers Short Flash Shockwave. Technically Shockwave didn't have a vehicle mode ( at least we didn't see him turn into anything ), but i don't mind, cause i really love the idea that Driller is his means of transportation! And it would have been F***ING AWESOME to see Shockwave and Driller together being an unstoppable force and they are the only 2 decepticons remaining and they together are fighting against the humans and Autobots! I before wasn't really Shockwave fan until Transformers: Prime, cause there he was like a one man army and if dark of the moon version was like that then he would have been close to perfect as you can get, cause i really love DOTM design ( don't get me wrong there isn't anything wrong with Primes design )!

I think studio series shockwave was directly inspired from this video. Shockwaves body and Alt-mode look IDENTICAL to his studio series form
The alt mode was from the dotm toy tho.
I think both the animation and the SS figure get most of their design cues from ROTF Megatron’s tank transformation, with the latter being a retool.

Why couldn’t Shockwave be this badass in the movie? Literally all he does in the movie is sick his pet on the autobots and get killed.
He was still badass imo
