Thanks Eric, you make it all look so simple but I know from experience that it takes a lot of skill to be as fluid as you are with SketchUp and LayOut.
Fantastic! I’m just starting to get into Layout so this got the creative juices flowing. Very powerful tool but I would not have thought of this approach without some help - so thank you!
Obviously someone with good knowledge of Sketchup, but not as educational as the usual Sketchup-videos In my opinion a bit fast, too many shortcuts (not using standard menus) and seemed a bit unprepared for an educational video TL/DR: Definitely informative, but less educational compared to other Sketchup-videos

But I can definitely comment on which videos teaches me something and which videos shows the possibilities in Sketchup by a skilled user...without it teaching me anything/much. How about you, your SU tutorial videos were sorely lacking...ie. non-existent...
You can replay it full screen multiple times to get the nuances. As an overview it's fine, I wasn't aware of the techniques he uses, didn't know clipping masks existed, thus I like it. To do it, however, needs practice. Too many SU videos I watch and do it, then not need the technique for years, and have to relearn it.

Thank you! I have wanted to fade out sections of the view, but am not proficient enough in fog tools to get what I wanted, and this is perfect.

When I want to create clipping mask say with rectangle tool I have a white background not transparent. How do I change to transparent? Thanks
Select the viewport and at the bottom of the SketchUp Model panel uncheck the Background checkbox 👍
I cannot find cliping-mask in Layout2023...
I got it NOW. It needs both viewport and rectangle are selected.
@@sinyaoono Yes. LayOut needs to know what you want clipped (viewport or image) and what shape you want to use to clip/mask it with ;)

Definitely shows a whole lot of the possibilities in Sketchup for a skilled user, but way out of my league 😄👍
