i went for a piss and when i was in the bathroom and the song started i though i mistakenly put the original on and not a cover, and i was wrong. The point is color of the voice is the same.

Radiohead has to be not only my favorite band, but also my favorite band to get cover songs. The band's discography is so unique and layered, so it's always great to see what covers like these can bring to the table.
I think this one has to be my favorite Radiohead cover. Just the Ondomo at the beginning adds so much to this already amazing song that I never thought was even possible. Just about everything about this is a perfect cover. I feel bad for being late to this channel. It's like I'm falling in love with the best band on earth all over again. Glorious. Thank you, Joe. You and Taka are doing god's work.
I never really listened to the lyrics before. Joe has such a clear voice, yet not unlike Thom's. Beautiful rendition of a sentiment I can fundamentally relate to.

If I had to guess, I think that’s Ed O’Brien or Jonny Greenwood making at that sound.

acrobata thank you!! That’s Taka’s Ondomo, which is a modern recreation of the Ondes Martenot that Jonny plays. The ring on the string is how you change pitch, and the button on the bottom left (sort of out of frame here) controls the volume. It’s beautifully expressive that way!
