I hope you close up the holes in the floors where those pipes go into the ground…..you will get more mice and spiders and other critters. The crawl space area should be closed up as well…..mice, spiders, and other unwanted creatures could get in. Love your videos and your ew space🥰
It makes so much sense to live and work in the home and you’ll be able to better decide what you want and need in the space. A lot of modern furniture is not well-made so on top of finding unique things secondhand, you’re probably getting better quality and honestly, the world just does not need more stuff. Better to reuse whenever possible!
Wow! What an amazing space, it's like one huge room after the other! So psyched for you! That laundry room? Perfect for reselling & with kids, just fantastic! And, I've got to say, OMG Becky, you're just becoming more & more beautiful every year
Becky you are the best 😄I couldnt stop laughing for few minutes when you mentioned about stalking the person who bought the pair of gray zara pants😂😂😂 that was really funny👏🏻😄hugs from Poland ❤️
My dream laundry room!!! I would die- right now we are a family of four trying to live out of a laundry CLOSET! Biggest regret of buying this particular home. Never again. My basement is always full of baskets and clothes.
Love watching this project! Hate watching you have to get stuff from the stop shelves.... with one more shelf, you could remove the top shelf bins and save yourself so much pain, time and aggravation.... worth it? I'd only store things there you need every few months... like extra boxes or bubble wrap. Love your videos Becky. xoxo
I moved into a larger reselling space and it took two months to get it fully organized. I intended to be organized within a week but came nowhere close. Your new space looks great and it will come together. Good idea to take your time!
Another comment/question. I've found that when I use the USPS polymailers, I can easily lift the tab right back up (as if they don't seal that well). My bought, pretty polymailers doesn't do that. I've found myself having to use packaging tape on the ends bc of this. I mentioned it to the postal worker, and he said that at first, they don't adhere securely, but after a little bit of time that they do. Have you experienced this problem, and do you just wait til it does or add the tape on sides? Thanks 😊
I don’t want to sound bossy but just be careful of your clothes in a basement. You may need an extra dehumidifier. I have to store my “special fabric” clothing in a separate space because I fear it will be damaged in my basement. I’m excited to see you progress along! I’m am confused on how you do your shipping. I only sell on eBay and I do calculated so I only weight before and I have the shipping service already in there such as first class. I guess I’m wondering if I’m unaware of something with shipping on eBay. I do calculated and weigh as I list. Clue me in. Lol. Also I love watching your shipping videos as well as what solds and all the rest!
I’m so envious of all your space. I work and store all my inventory in our dining room. It’s a tight space. Congrats on the new house!! I used to watch a lot of resellers on utube but now I only watch you, Tabs and Mogi Beth. Thanks so much for always giving us great info!
Why not put up dry wall to cover all plumbing systems. Also a fresh coat of a light color paint on the concrete walls will do wonders for brightening up the space.
These are great suggestions! I have no idea how to put up dry wall lol and it would be at the very bottom of my list of priorities. But that does sound like it would be a great thing to do. And do you think the concrete would soak up a ton of paint? Part of me super doesn’t mind the really industrial look.
@@beckyparkco I believe they make paint specifically for concrete surfaces. I hope you get heat in your reseller room. I know how cold Illinois winters are…born and raised in Chicago suburbs.
@@beckyparkco You could just white wash the concrete walls and it would brighten it up while still keeping a semi industrial look and I wouldnt worry so much with drywall as it can be expensive but maybe just hang some curtains like you said...that way you can add some pops of color and really have any color you want
The house is massive and beautifully laid out! For safety reasons, keep clearance around the electrical panel (code says 3' I believe) in case you need to access it in an emergency.
I wish my laundry room looked like that wow lol. Huge! Im always crowded in mine. Beautiful house! I have to say having a basement is awesome, i couldn't live without my basement. I have my kids play area down next to my work area too. It works out good. We put a nice indoor/outdoor carpet down for super cheap in our unfinished area to store all my stuff.
I loooooove the new space ...ESPECIALLY the laundry room..😂😂..Thats my dream...An acre of yard and a huge laundry room..It dont take much to satisfy me.
Wow, congratulations on your new home. It looks so beautiful. What a reselling space. That is so awesome. Can’t wait for the full tour when you’re done. So sweet you have room for the parents and in laws also.
Lmbo I’m checking out those stairs, me n my 80 year old mom were just recently laughing about how when you are young those stairs look nice but 40 years later you are cursing those same stairs😂😂😂 Congratulations 🎈🍾🎉🎊
So exciting to have a basement! I’m so jealous lol I live in a tiny apartment. Although I do have a storage unit! So I do love having a separate space to store my inventory.
Recommend you dry wall the open space area so you don't have to look at it :). I'm sure you guys have thought of this already but i thought i would suggest it. This house is amazing. I'm so jealous of your space for re-selling. How amazing. I cant wait to see it fully completed. Congrats on the house :).
I don’t resell at all but I found you during lockdown and binged your “Just Sold” videos…Congratulations on all you have accomplished! It almost makes me emotional seeing you enjoying vacations and a beautiful new home because you definitely deserve it
Congratulations on the new home. Is in terms of your basement in the area that you’re wanting to use, I have a similar situation at my house. My fear is that those are sub pumps for when water overflows. And I wonder if the dehumidifier is a signal that there have been problems in the past. So that could cause some concern putting your inventory in there. If you still want to use the space, I would look into a company who could seal it for moisture and give you an opinion about any issues for what you’re wanting to use it for. I had to learn the hard way my basement had some serious issues
Love your new space, congratulations. I loved seeing a ship with me video. Can you make or do you have a video on how you purchase postage for Ebay? I looked through your videos and may have overlooked it. have only ever sold on Poshmark and it's probably time to spread my wings and try other platforms. Thank you for sharing with us and always being so transparent.
Becky - are you going to be okay/happy without a window and no natural light in your new work space? I know it would not work for me, so I'm concerned for you :) And yes, very jelly of your new laundry room!! What I would give for a sink in my laundry room. xoxo
Great space. Hope your new home brings wonderful memories for years to come. I love that color in the finished part of the basement. You’re doing incredibly well getting things organized.
I hope you close up the holes in the floors where those pipes go into the ground…..you will get more mice and spiders and other critters. The crawl space area should be closed up as well…..mice, spiders, and other unwanted creatures could get in. Love your videos and your ew space🥰
Suggestion- put the clothes that need to be steamed in the laundry room so that you can do double duty while you’re doing laundry.

Nice place, and I'm like your husband. I love the daylight bulbs that give off that white, bright light. Enjoy y'all's new home. 💗
That’s a dream basement.

Congratulations on your new home. So glad it makes you happy. Really enjoyed your vlog.
Love this vlog-style type of video!
Congratulations Becky! Awesome! Ultra efficient! You work so hard for this! Inspirational!
I think I saw a dehumidifier? Good idea!
Best of luck!

Wow! So much space. I'm curious why you didn't finish that room with drywall and carpet before you set up everything in your resale room?🤔
Nice! Just have someone drywall the space where the water heater is. Idk. Lol. Either I love your new home!

Hahhaa that’s why we were really looking for a house with an in law suite on the main floor. So my mother in law wouldn’t have to worry about stairs!

You're impressing me on making your house a home.
Congratulations on your new home! Where did you get the clear plastic bags you put your items?
Becky, wow you have a huge home congratulations 🎊
Congrats!! Be careful about sharing details like how far your job or home is from certain places. Just some online safety!!!
