Ann announces Bel Canto: The Annotated Edition

- It’s Friday, and if you haven’t read Bel Canto, now’s the time to do it, because on November 5th Ann’s annotated edition of Bel Canto will be released!
Here at Parnassus, there will be not one, but TWO editions - the standard $40 edition and the special slipcased $75 edition, exclusive to Parnassus and limited to 1,000 copies. Ever. To make ordering as fair as possible, 500 of these special editions are available for pre-order now on our website only (out of towners, this is your chance!), and each customer is limited to one copy. Once those are gone, the remaining 500 will be available in-store only starting on release day, November 5 (Nashville folks, this is your chance!). We will not be taking orders over the phone.

So exciting!
This was the first book I read by Ann and I was hooked. She is truly my absolute favorite author. I can read and reread her work and find it more delicious every time. Although I tend to read eBooks, I'll surely be getting a hard copy of the Annotated Edition of Bel Canto! Thank you!

Wow! I will certainly be aiming to buy a copy of this novel, hand-annotated by Ann Patchett - that is, if it will be published in the UK also. I do hope so!
A friend recommended it to me earlier this evening. We couldn’t figure out why the library listed 211 holds on 25 copies of a book published in 2001. I’ll let her know now that I know.
