the accent makes the atmosphere all the more perfect, given the subject matter. to hear this man say 'rural', for instance, is reminiscent of relatives I have long since forgotten. subscribed, absolutely.
I have been living on your voice that brings stories alive. Recently blinded, and lover of the macabre Dr.Creepen carries me along other realities far away from the darkest mountain I live on. Thank You
We are absolutely capable of monstrous and terrible things, and then something comes along and gives us just a little push, and out comes our own monster. It’s in all of us, but most people have either never seen it or have found a healthy way to channel it so it doesn’t ever get too close to breaking out. Wonderful story Dr.! I honestly didn’t see that end coming, maybe I could have, but I like to enjoy the ride instead of playing detective.
Man... thats deep... I in a hot bath for three hours thinking about this story.... phenomenal narration... I then re listened on my speakers..... very well done.. it makes you think.... inside all of us, there is light and dark.... we choose our own destiny.... im bent over my type writer now (yes I have a type writer) I have Crosby Stills and Nash live at Woodstock 94 playing on my speakers... its thundering outside... I have my lamp on.... I may send a story in now... excellent work.... excellent... ill transfer it to computer after.... I still need to send you those pics of my speakers but marvelous absolutely marvelous narration Dr. :-)
This was one of my favorite, if not my # 1 favorite creepy pasta and thank you so much for being the one to narrate it, your work is truly appreciated good man! Much love and keep up the amazing work!
Love that video showing clouds! Two of my favorite things to do are lay back and watch the clouds and listen to the Dr. Great job Doc! Much love to you 😘🤗
Ok this is my new favorite creepy/scary story channel! The audio quality is excellent, the stories are mostly more than ten minutes, and he does a damn good accent change on this particular story. I applaud dr. Creepen for all the hard work on his videos/ readings.
That's was DOPE! Amazing end superbly written written and narrated. Imo it started out as typical scary monster story told interestingly ended up being a deep mindfuck that'll keep u thinking about for days. Well done doc. And how is it no other narrators have read this gem. I'm glad cuz I couldn't imagine anybody but the infamous Dr to share this one with us.im about to go to bed and that just filled my head with nightmare fuel. LOVE IT!!
My God Doctor you have the ladies going bananas, with your voice. I can see myself in a club on the weekend, with your voice. Oh the possibilities! lol.
@@DrCreepen I've just found your videos about a month ago. Trying to catch up, lol....great video,, your accent and the way you tell the stories,, you put certain emotion in the way you tell the story,, its pretty great.. keep up the amazing story telling.... happy holidays....
Great story Doctor, I liked the thought provoking conclusion of this story, it's definitely true, everyone has the capacity for good and evil, and when the evil side shows through, it's more scary than any monster
At first glance, I thought this was a Lovecraft story. After listening, I realize that it's not, but it's every bit as horrifying! Well done! (Also, welcome back, Dr. You've been missed.)
Dr. Creepen Somewhere between Lovecraft's "Fear The Eldritch Horrors From Beyond" and King's "The Most Terrifying Monsters Exist Within Ourselves." Plus the ubiquitous Lovecraftian themes of madness and secrets and deathbed confessions. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Great accent. The only thing that always creeps through from England is "sawr" for saw. I first noticed it from Robert Plant in his singing. I think it's :-).
great story!!! just goes to show that you never really for really can know someone inside & out & we all have the fight to survive mode in us all. you go Doc!!!
Excellent, superb! Not the typical woooo scary monster in the dark, but a perfectly paced excursion through time and space, and into the depths of the darkness of the soul.
I love the accent, a mix of your normal accent & a light tinge of a Southern drawl. It reminds me of the accents used by an actor in a classic Hollywood film (i.e. Gone With the Wind) - I love it & it’s very fitting for this story... despite the setting being Connecticut, apparently.
Wow!!!!! that story was so awesome and sad... loved it, sweetheart. Also my husband listened tonight and he said you sound like Vincent Price. I've said that maybe a year ago. Thanks ♡♡♡
Bravo! I loved it. You are in a league of your own with that amazing voice lol. You gave a perfect performance, once again. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful gift with us, and for giving your time and energy and being so consistent. It really means a lot
Ever since I discovered you last week I've been listening to your stories nonstop. I find your voice both soothing and creepy. Thanks for what you do💀👻
Wow! You're definitely getting a subscription from me. Your voice is phenomenally perfect for spooky stories. Keep it up, creepen! Are you really some kind of doctor? Monica
I thought it was refreshing that what would be the most likely scenario in such a case turned out to be exactly the cause... and yet was pretty much a surprise.
Very much so. I didn't quite expect that ending. It had a good old fashioned moral at the end of the story. Haha. Well, not so much of a moral...but more of a "make you think".
Dr. Creepn,,, I spend each evening and morning with you,,, thank you with a lol my best wishes ,your very good very. elegant at Story telling 👍👍👍👍👍👍❕❕❗❗❗❗🌹
Thanks for the narration man, it turned out really well. I didn't imagine them speaking with a southern accent, but now that I'm hearing it, it does add nicely to the campfire aesthetic you have going for the story.
Travis Kuhlman Hi Travis. I'm assuming you're the author? If so, thanks for this great work. I'm delighted to have uncovered the treasure trove of your work on the creepypasta wiki and will be doing more of your stories soon!
Yup, I am the author in question (i.e. people questioning if he's really an author). Jokes aside, thank you for taking the time to read and narrate my story, it always surprises me when someone takes the time to read, edit, and share one of my stories. You can find more of my stories here (creepypasta.wikia.com/wiki/User:EmpyrealInvective/My_Stories), just a bit of a heads-up though, asking for permission on the stories that have "Content is available under CC BY-NC" as those are ones I have tried to/have published and having copies floating around on the internet can be a bit of a pain as some publishers are skittish about accepting stories if they're present elsewhere.
Thanks, I can even give a few stories that I'd love to see narrated, but I'm sure you want to space out the narrations some so people don't get tired of hearing from one author too much.
Hahaha Oooohhhhh my goddess dude... Attack of the Killer tomatoes... Reeeediculious man. I doubt you're younger listeners will even know what that is. That's old school cartoons.
I read the story a little earlier and now I'm done listening to your narration. It was creepy and sad. It was not what I expected when his dad said the creeping horror more than five times. I thought the monster with the mask was actually going to show up. XD You did an awesome job at narrating the story. And the author did an awesome job at writing it. ^_^
To EmpyrealInvective: I once saw some artwork depicting the battle you and your little friend were jabbering about. My thought about the Killer Klowns' enemies was that they would be good and ugly, and the Chiodo brothers created such an enemy in the form of the makeover they gave the Sleestaks in the early 90s revamp of Land Of The Lost. Please pass this crazy idea along and maybe the Chiodo brothers themselves might get wind of it.
Dr. Creepen This idea has been rolling around in my skullpan for years. To clarify, the version of the Sleestaks I speak of look like evolved dinosaurs.
So glad I got around to this video Dr C. Newer sub and I've passed it over a couple of times for others... SOOO glad I finally did sit back and listen!!! Keep it up Doc!!!
Your voice is still amazing♡ And... thank you, I love this story, I've always loved the woods, but this story just made the woods better ^--^ ♡ P.S. you nailed the accent ;3 P.P.S. your voice made me moan at one point(TMI, but gotta make you blush ._.) Keep being amazing ♡

Dr. Creepen you nailed the accent, added a much deeper quality than most other readings have, and you went the creole route which is a hard accent to do even for some of us in the US

A story that starts out as your typical, Tall Man monster tale, but then turns out to be... Kinda symbolic? Quite unique.
When I found this story I was certain that dozens of other narrators must have already done it; I was surprised that no one ever had.
Dr. Creepen
Wow, really?
Yep

but marvelous absolutely marvelous narration Dr. :-)
It was a very interesting insight into what true horror is: perhaps anything humans can do is worse than our imagined monsters.
The 'campfire' videos are my favourite. The sound of the crackling in the background is both entrancing and relaxing.
I haven't done one for a while, I was making it my Friday theme for a while and I must get back to it! It only works with certain stories, though.
No worries! Your narrations are brilliant regardless.
It's amazing that there's always a little clearing in so many of these stories when actually you see very few if any in the woods
Man I feel like I watch your videos ALOT yet it feels like there's always a new one for me to enjoy, keep up the great work!
You're very, very welcome... new stories every couple of days :-)

WOW!! Okay...that certainly wasn't what I was expecting. Fantastic story and wonderful twist there at the end. Makes for a good moral too.
It's weird, this one: the most logical reason actually turns out to be a shock in the end.
You did an amazing job for the rake vs wolf man video. Scarecrow was good, but your voice is something to behold; Great job Mister.
Those vids on UNIT #522's channel are incredibly hard work and exhausting; I'm glad the finished product is appreciated!
This was way better than i expected! amazing job and very well done. I think you have become my new favorite horror channel now!
Very happy to hear that, Dirk.

Dr. Creepen also thank you for not giving in to the sensationalism of the "true story" genre, I respect that.
I tried it a few times, but it's not for me. I always get upset by the fact that it's real people being affected by these horrible situations.
Ooooo! a story with real life, pit of your stomach, sunlight leeching terror! Very good!

Excellent as usual Doc

Yea. Thanks couch.

Always a pleasure, Heidi ;-)
Loved that twist, great story!
I need to stop drinking while I'm listening to these stories.
It's my fault: I keep telling you all to drink!
Trust me, my stories are best enjoyed while heavily drinking.
I feel bad for encouraging drinking, though.
Your southern accent makes you sound like Morgan Freeman 😂
I was seriously thinking about abandoning this recording: I wasn't happy with the accent at all on this one.
I really enjoyed it!
Me too! It was gorgeous! I mean... scary! Menacing! Evil? All that good stuff! Xxx
¿Why So Serious? xD Southern or English? Hard to peg.
Dr. Creepen you nailed the accent, added a much deeper quality than most other readings have, and you went the creole route which is a hard accent to do even for some of us in the US
The real creeping horror was the friends we made along the way
wow, a real shocker - would make a great story for those horror compilation series.....so twisty......
Doctor that 1 was truly creepy and gnarly you read like nobody else can
Now THAT is a good twist!
lol winter is here, it made my bus late to pick me up and even now we're running late. I'm so ready to be back in Florida.
I can imagine!
Dr. Creepen update: I'm back in Florida :) the sun feels wonderful
Feeling a little jealous!
Dr. Creepen I'll send warmth your way through loving support of you and your channel :)

great story!

PS. Sexiest voice ever
It's not that he doesn't assume that the boys are going to harm each other, but hearing them play that ritual brings up the memory of what he'd done.
At first I thought you'd said "sexist voice".
Ah a warm fire would be nice right now it's so cold here also fantastic narrating good sir
Trying to warm you up the only way I can!
