Black Friday Bundle: $508 for XREAL Air 2 Pro & Beam Pro: us.shop.xreal.com/products/xreal-beam-pro-air2-pro-bundle?aff=10 (Affiliate) Are you going to pick this up for Black Friday? What are your thoughts about Beam Pro?
For many, video glasses are an excellent way to enjoy media content on the go or in the comfort of their own home. My experience shows that such a product can be explained clearly to older individuals without any complications. At this price point, I believe there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. A very well executed product from Xreal, especially when considering its range of features and the potential offered by Android.
Thanks for your review. One question: It allows you to adjust the level of image definition, contrast, brightness, color intensity and light intensity, set color filters and adjust the diopter of each eye? Thanks
This is a good review I have the exact same combination and no I'm not a sponsored person. If you want discreet virtual video glasses that let you watch all of the content that you normally can through your Android apps on a HUGE Screen. Then this is a great product, So far I've used these on a plane, on the train, cafe(there is passthrough view so you can see everything else when you're in public), & so on. One of the uses that people might want to consider is if your kids or your wives or husbands are hogging the TV you can put these on an watch your own things on a giant screen. Or even When you're in bed but your significant other wants you to turn off the bedroom TV because they don't want to see the light from it and you can put these on and not bother them. They are great although not perfect, like feild of view could be better, theyre enough for the uses I gave above
I bought the Beam Pro just for the 3D camera feature, unfortunately the cameras kinda suck compared to other Android devices but I guess it's okay for $150. The Beam Pro has become my Sudoku gaming system LOL
Hi, I was in the beginning also a bit disappointed, but for that price you won't find a compatible 3D camera. The old Fuji was double the price and half the quality and other cameras are also way more expensive. Really good quality you won't find under $1000!
@@SjaakSchulteisThe Qoocam Ego has much better image and audio quality than the Beam Pro. I've had the Ego since June 2022 and get great results. I assumed that the Beam Pro would blow the Ego away because it's newer and Android based but the Beam Pro was a step back in image and audio quality from what I was used to. Just checked the current price is $289, well under $1000. It's not a "PRO" camera but at least the image quality isn't grainy and muddy like the Beam Pro
@@freeqtek I've heard that the ego takes a long time to boot up and gets very hot. Plus the battery drains fast. Non of this with the Beam Pro. And under the right conditions, the Beam delivers good quality. It's easier to carry due to its flat shape. Of course it's not the best on the market. But for me it has enough advantages.
For the price & difference the Ultra isn't worth it yet . Besides from Day 1 XReal said and had it on the Ultra website page that it was aimed for developers
@@MB-jkjk Yeah, I think it heavily depends on how important it is for you to be able to stand up and walk away from your virtual monitors or lean in towards them. It would be great if Xreal also have some additional spatial apps for the Ultra, but if that doesn't exist yet, then it's too bad. We'll find out at my work soon though.
Question: Smartphone apps are designed for smartphone screens. That normally means portrait mode. If you want to work on a Google Docs, for example, can you work in landscape mode? In other words, when you tilt the Beam device to the horizontal position, will you then see a landscape window in the glasses? And can you have two landscape screens side by side? If not, it would be difficult to use this for work.
You can have one in landscape mode and the other in portrait. That's about it. There's two ways to adjust the screen and that's by adjusting the picture from the corner. And the other by pressing a virtual button at the top of the virtual app screen. Those 2 different ways to adjust the windows shapes them differently
You didn't experience any flickering when watching netflix/HBO videos through NebulaOS? I can't help but notice the flickering horizontal lines when viewing
Used Xreal Air (1) are a great cheap stop gap until the next gen of these truly arrive. At the moment the displays all look about the same as the ones from 2-3 years ago (some even say the first gen is better due to edge to edge clarity and no blurring)
I heard Ultra is better when it comes to deliver stability on the move, as Pro has problem with shaking performance if you are out running. Anyone tried both?
wow, you wanna go running with this? Well, you will hardly be able to see your actual environment when watching something. I would not recommend when running!
I have the same combination. My comment is not sponsored either. His review is spot on. Are the glasses perfect No. But XReal have improved their glasses with each generation. Currently these things are perfect the Pro glasses +Beam Pro If you want to travel by plane, train, maybe you're in a cafe and want to watch something, maybe your wife is hogging the TV, maybe your wife wants you to turn off the bedroom TV because she's sleepy and she doesn't want to see the light, You can put these glasses on and You get your own private HUGE Screen you can watch all you TV shows and Movies and other content on. That's what they are best for.
Your presetation was good but NOT complete ... you missed to mention the negatives ...why ? Normaly you are unbiased, at least i thought so.... The Beam Pro does not have a GPS Module, so you cannot navigate with it in Google maps or other navigation Apps. This feature would be very helpfull for example as a pedestrian in a city where you never have been before. And it also does not have the possiblility to put in a SIM Card to make regular phone calls or have mobile Internet access ... It is NOT possible !!! You need your regular Smartphone for those tasks !
Hi, it's a 159 usd player for android apps. It comes with a 3d camera. It does not want to be a smartphone so that's why I do not review it like a smartphone. Your actual phone for sure has GPS. Why would you want to use this content player for that?
Those are NOT negatives because XReal since the beginning said it would NOT be a smartphone. It just looks like a phone in order for them to get the Google Certification for all apps to work properly. Its only a computing unit meant for the glasses. Please don't spread misinformation

Loved the way you logically explained how this combo just works and makes sense.

Viture is launching a new neckband with some of these features and hand gestures this December, will you be reviewing it ?
Of course I will!

@@SjaakSchulteis Seems that there's finally many diverse 3D "spatial" products to choose from.
should i get beam pro and xreal air 2 pro or the xreal air 2 ultra i dont care about price
Except for the fact that the Air 2 Ultra adds 6 DoF and a larger FOV, so it seems like that would be the better option.
I also consider price. The Ultra FOV is not actually that much bigger. I tried it at CES.

I want to wait for the screen to cover the whole of the glasses...
What about 3D or 360 degree videos from youtube etc?
Do these work wirelessly also? Or do you always need to connect them to something?
They need to be plugged into the device u want to see
They are a external display and speaker. They have no internal battery or streaming services.
Great review, which one better compare with the new rayneo 2s? How about in car, will the screen lost anchor?
Waiting for one more generation

Any news on the cellular beam pro? How do you connect to internet?
It has wifi!
😎👍
could i just use my phone instead of the beam pro
what's the resolution of each eye screen ?
It's full HD. It's the standard for these kind of glasses category and still looks incredibly sharp.

@mixedrealityTV I work from home, and got a treadmill that I use as I work, plus I lift some simple manuals.
I have the pro and if you're on a treadmill you can just anchor the screen and you won't have that problem
does Beam Pro work on the quest 3 / 3s via HDMI link
I do not think so.
How does Xreal deliver to Finland? I could not find a way. All they say is: to Germany, UK, France, Italy...
Cannot just order from their website?
@@mixedrealityTV Tried the link below. The red text says: 'Cannot be shipped to Finland'. Strange: to an EU land?
looking for closed caption so my deaf wife can read what is said. fb, games and movies are secondary will this work?
So far viture pro xr is the best
Viture Pro is fantastic. I wish they had a player like Beam Pro!
Is it a sponsored video ?
It sounds too good to be true, right? But no worries, it's real.

feel like a long advertisement
This ps4 controller wasnt even connected ;)
