- This episode is a bit different.
Nadia is having a long weekend off work and she flew over to visit the house, the chickens and me.
It's been two months that she hasn't been home and a lot has changed in the meantime.
It was great having her here because we needed to discuss the location of lamps, power sockets and other fittings.
Next episode I'll be in my work clothes again getting stuff done.

Happy belated Birthday and so glad that Nadia got back to see all of your work. Thanks for sharing.....
Thank you so much!
Aww, sweet reaction from Nadia to your hard work. You two are a great team.
😊 thank you
Nadia seems very happy with the progress you’ve made. Her reaction is very sweet. ❤❤
I think so too!
I know Nadia was overjoyed at seeing how the house is coming along .I’m so happy for your knowledge and skills at figuring out the best ways and all the different angles before you actually begin a project.😅
Thanks so much Mary! Great to hear from you!😀
Love all the ideas and I even like the tile light idea for the patio because nadias rt you don't want the light bulbs blinding you while your on the patio . 🥰🔥❣️💪🥳
Yes but that tile light is not going to make it. It’s Tuscan not French.
nadia, you have to convince marius of getting the house next door. i dont think he wants to because its more work but i think its meant to be yours. you never know what will happen in the future and that space could be your project space.
😀
I'm sad to see Nadia leave again.....
❤ from South Africa 🇿🇦
Me too…
Garden sink: solder a pipe to the inside of the tap (first remove the inside mechanism to prevent the rubber seal from melting). Its a lot of copper so it will need a lot of heat.
That could be the solution. I need to see if I can find copper pipe with the right outside diameter to fit in.
I see a lot of fowl play going on there !
😀
Happy birthday to you, Marius. 🎂
Thank you Lorrie!
Great to see Nadia back, her suggestions always put a positive spin on things and I can see her vision, it's all going very well. You may need an end cap on the new guttering you put on the neighbours roof so it doesn't flood your patio stairs.
Well it doesn’t as the slope is sufficient but I would want one just for the looks. Problem is that I haven’t found one in the right size yet.
Once you get the correct size pipe, fitted through the wall and hooked up to your water line, wrap it with teflon plumbers tape.
Nope. No Teflon tape in my plumbing!
Happy birthday! 🎉 Good to see that Lady Boss is back 😊!
Thank you!! 😁
Happy Birthday Marius 🎉🐓🎉
Thank you!
Lovely video! With garden sink, I would plumb directly into the thread of the tap, & bypass the thread on the actual sink as the size looks like it might be tricky. Use a few rubber o rings (olives?) to pad it out and a washer or 2 on the back to stabilise.
The house is coming along beautifully & your chickens are adorable. Cheers from Oz!
Great tip! Thanks!
Oh Man your chickens are so blessed to have the run of the backyard/ garden. So pleased for you that Nadia likes your work so far 🙏 That was a flying visit ❤
So nice of you! Thanks!
Well you got the bosses approval Marius . I could see Nadia was overjoyed by your works . Good one😘
Thank you! 😃

Happy birthday x
Thank you!
Happy reunion!🌹Happy belated birthday Marius!!!🎉🎈 It's lovely to see Nadia's smiling face once again. Hei Hei piggybacking Daddy...lol. Quite the character. Love the little fountain...great placement. Good to see you both...cheers from Canada 🇨🇦🫶
Thank you! 😃
C’mon big fella - don’t tell me you weren’t fully of pride when Nadia was so enthused about all your hard work and the changes made. It makes it all worthwhile👍
Are you a Star Wars baby to (May the 4th) or the 11th? Either way - typical Taurean (not that we believe that nonsense)
😀the 11th. I don’t know anything about Star Wars. Never seen it.
May the forth (force) be with you!
@@thisoldhousefrance you have to see them ,marius. i wasnt allowed to watch tv/music as a child unattended and as soon as i went away to university i experimented with everything. i get star wars and star trek mixed up sometimes but im on the fence of the pair. im more into horror/thriller but not gore.
@@spicynomadyeah, one day when it’s raining I might😁
Mega brownie ponts built up for you big mam 😂
😀
Marius on Leroy merlins site you can get a 40mm mamelon longue mâle/femelle, screw this through the plaque from the front secure with a locking nut and you will have a half inch (15/21) female thread on the front and a half inch male thread on the back to connect your pipe to.Un peu cher mais un solution quand même.
Thanks! I need to research this option!
Marius. While you're doing electrics have you considered an outdoor waterfroof double socket? Very useful to have.
Yes! Will be installed!
Hi! The Garden-sink: Don't you think a 1/2 inch male pipe and a lot of hemp is enough? Otherwise perhaps with a rubber seal and a pipe with a long thread and a flat ground edge. Greetings from Lothar
The problem is that the treaded female bit is not that long. I’m afraid that both male end of tap plus male end of pipe together in that female bit is to much and they won’t have enough thread to secure themselves
@@thisoldhousefrance Ah ok. Then I would take a thick drill and drill out the cast iron basin so that a female piece of pipe goes through.
@@quaredischthat could be an option. I need to think about it. Thanks!
