The next time you travel Philippines, you should visit the Cordillera, especially Sagada, or Baguio if you are looking for colder climates and more peace in nature.
Yeah, because Boracay,Bohol and el nido is very common tourist destination..why didn't he also visit northern Philippines or Southern Philippines because Bicolanos and Ilocanos product are not much expensive compared to Visayan.....

El Nido is the more luxurious part of Palawan when it comes to expenses. Coron is the budget friendly, less traveled part of Palawan. They offer almost the same tour but in Coron you will have the added chance to visit Calauit Island which is a sanctuary island for wildlife.
i go diving in palawan every year and coron is definitely the better one of the two. the marine life in coron is also way better in coron (less dead corals).
El Nido has glamping (glamorous camping) it's a relatively new concept in eco tourism. It has top notch facilities, it has been visited by bloggers just last month llike Ali and Harry Jaggard
Aside from El Nido and Coron (two of the most popular municipalities in Palawan), some municipalities of Palawan that are included in my bucket list are Balabac and Linapacan 💗😍
The difference of hostel fees I think is base of the location,it's expensive when the location is closer to the beach and cheaper when it's far.For me Coron Palawan is more budget friendly spot☺️

That's right. I feel bad for you, you didn't eat because of the poor treatment from the staff. Maybe, he doesn't speak good english that's why he just brushed you off easily. But that is not an excuse. Thank you for your honest reviews. It will give them an opportunity to improve.
I also hope the reason they treated him like that is not because they mistook him for being a Filipinor. I read many reviews from western countries and almost all of them would say all Filipinos are so friendly and nice to them.

In every establishment you need to know the front desk for you to be able to answer your questions. Dont ever direct your questions to the workers because their focus is to do their job and avoid any mistake to their jobs.

Dont feel bad to the person you asked because you dont know maybe he is busy or he dont know the answer, and for your information not all filipino can speak english some are cant speak in english. Language barrier sometimes the reason for misunderstanding.
6:30 I am planning to go in Thailand too and I was shock how cheap the hotels there and they are in good quality. The only reason I can think with the hotel price difference between Thailand and Philippines is business related - SALES - The amount of tourists both locals and foreigners. Thailand is a landlock or a mass land where all the tourist spots are interconnected by land. Thus, the transportation cost is lesser. Thus, all other expenses such as food, objects, houses and other things will cost lesser. This cheaper cost attracts a lot of tourists thus the businesses there can drop their prices as low as possible because the number of customers can cover the expenses. Compared it to Philippines, which is an island. Wherein all products and people needs to travel not just by land but also by water and air. This is the very reason why all things are expensive. Thus, the cost do not attracts tourists. Even us local Filipinos, we need to save for a year or two if we want to travel within our country. 🤓 Nevertheless, thank you Brother Sunny for your honest feedback both constructive criticism and sincere appreciation. 🥰 I am from Mindanao and I hope you can travel soon in our island here at the South. Ang transportation system wala talagang kwenta kaya sobrang pricey mag travel sa Pilipinas. Isa pang dapat matutonan ng mga Pilipino, ang tamang pagtrato sa mga customer. Kapag mag-order ka feel mo talaga madaming masungit kahit sa school canteen namin.

Thanks sunny, I have learned a lot from your experiences. I saw your channel when I was looking for travel experience in Vietnam. Then I found out your channel. Too bad you had left Indonesia at the same time I found your channel. But your vlogging style is very addictive and honest. Thanks for english subtitle, I feel like I was travelling with you and started to watch all the series you had. Sometimes I saw the comments and even though I am new here, but I notice that you got a massive subscribers in Philippines series. The comments become vary and and changing. In previous series, most of comments are quite peaceful but in these series, the comments which dominated by thais and filipinos, they started comparing to each other. To be honest it also affect me to look more on comments than the video itself 😂. Then from the comments, I realize that all ASEAN countries at least have same mentality 1. We are very nationalistic which often create overproud behaviour 2. Overproud behaviour then also create two distinguish habits. Sometimes we started to look superior at countries which look poorer or more disorganized (recently a lot indonesians really like to watch travel vlog in india or slum areas in U.S. It is an eye opening for them and wake up indonesians how thankful they are living in right now). Then in other side overproud behaviour also make some people begin to hate criticisms and only want compliments So beside your vlogs, I also learned a lot from the comments you get hahaha. Always looking forward for the next trip series. Maybe you are on the way to India right now so I hope you have a nice trip there. I lost my smartphone and had worst experience in India, hope you do not experience the same things such as me. P.S. Indians have their own online cab application called "ola". Cab in India was much expensive than Gojek or Grab but much safer rather than take public transportation. Hope it helps you for next trip!

Finally, another video. I really love your reactions when you are giving your honest reviews. It is indeed expensive in El Nido. Literally, everything is expensive. Please understand that Vietnam, Singapore, and the Philippines are different countries. As much as we want to think and expect that it should be cheaper in the Philippines, there are many factors to be considered. . Electricity and gasoline are expensive in the Philippines, and these two cause inflation. Also, expect that the more remote the area is, the MORE EXPENSIVE the prices are. When it comes to the accommodation/hostels, if it is less than 1000php, do not expect too much. But for sure there are still a lot of accommodations that offer good quality in the Philippines- but I remember it depends on our expectations and standards. If you look plain and ordinary (esp. if you are a local or you look like one), some crews will treat you that way ( I experienced that a lot). Or maybe, that crew is not responsible for orders and dealing with customers. Enjoy traveling and keep safe! ;-)
As a Filipino, I can understand his sentiments about the high prices of accommodation here. He is not the only vlogger who has observed that. I feel that it is due to the high prices of real estate here which driven by the hype. Beach lot properties are sold at ridiculously high prices now.

Not just here in the Philippines. Expensive beach properties is happening around the world. Like hostels in Bangkok is a lot cheaper compared to those in Krabi or Pattaya.
The south of Palawan is raw and untouched. Though its quite a challenge to go there for tourists bec it is not yet developed for tourism. El Nido and Coron is indeed the popular one. And i agree with u, the accomdation is expensive. And most first time Pinoy traveler will prefer to go outside the country than tour the Philippines’ popular destination bec it is expensive.
If you ever come here to the Northern Philippines, specifically to Baguio, I recommend the 3BU hostel, it's only about 500 pesos, it's a sleeping pod, similar to what you have booked there, but quite better... and yes!!! hotels in the Philippines are quite expensive
i am a filipino and the thing you said about hostels or hotels having a high fee but low quality is true! i have been to other countries too and when i compare it like if you stay on a 3 star hotel in other countries, it is much better and the quality of the rooms are great, but here in the philippines it is not
One thing I hate about traveling here in the PH is the accomodation prices. Hotels are really expensive. When we traveled to Palawan 3 years ago, we were shocked with the prices on the menu. They were quite expensive too. I mean I don't mind paying for good food, kaya lang ung quality hindi akma sa presyo.

100% correct regarding quality of accomodation and price in Philippines compared to other parts of Asia and even other cities outside of Asia. Finding quality accomodation will cost you an arm and a leg and if its affordable you will be surprised how terrible it is.

The tourism department should check all the hostels and accommodation all the tourist spot and the quality also must be check if it is fit for the price coz they're taking advantage to all foreigners..

El Nido has glamping (glamorous camping) it's a relatively new concept in eco tourism. It has top notch facilities, it has been visited by bloggers just last month llike Ali and Harry Jaggard
Aside from El Nido and Coron (two of the most popular municipalities in Palawan), some municipalities of Palawan that are included in my bucket list are Balabac and Linapacan 💗😍
The difference of hostel fees I think is base of the location,it's expensive when the location is closer to the beach and cheaper when it's far.For me Coron Palawan is more budget friendly spot☺️
It's expensive everywhere here in the Philippines. If you check his vlogs from other countries, he usually stays at ~$5 hostels.

I also hope the reason they treated him like that is not because they mistook him for being a Filipinor. I read many reviews from western countries and almost all of them would say all Filipinos are so friendly and nice to them.

In every establishment you need to know the front desk for you to be able to answer your questions. Dont ever direct your questions to the workers because their focus is to do their job and avoid any mistake to their jobs.

Dont feel bad to the person you asked because you dont know maybe he is busy or he dont know the answer, and for your information not all filipino can speak english some are cant speak in english. Language barrier sometimes the reason for misunderstanding.

I am planning to go in Thailand too and I was shock how cheap the hotels there and they are in good quality.
The only reason I can think with the hotel price difference between Thailand and Philippines is business related - SALES - The amount of tourists both locals and foreigners.
Thailand is a landlock or a mass land where all the tourist spots are interconnected by land.
Thus, the transportation cost is lesser. Thus, all other expenses such as food, objects, houses and other things will cost lesser.
This cheaper cost attracts a lot of tourists thus the businesses there can drop their prices as low as possible because the number of customers can cover the expenses.
Compared it to Philippines, which is an island. Wherein all products and people needs to travel not just by land but also by water and air.
This is the very reason why all things are expensive. Thus, the cost do not attracts tourists.
Even us local Filipinos, we need to save for a year or two if we want to travel within our country. 🤓

Ang transportation system wala talagang kwenta kaya sobrang pricey mag travel sa Pilipinas. Isa pang dapat matutonan ng mga Pilipino, ang tamang pagtrato sa mga customer. Kapag mag-order ka feel mo talaga madaming masungit kahit sa school canteen namin.

Thanks sunny, I have learned a lot from your experiences. I saw your channel when I was looking for travel experience in Vietnam. Then I found out your channel. Too bad you had left Indonesia at the same time I found your channel. But your vlogging style is very addictive and honest. Thanks for english subtitle, I feel like I was travelling with you and started to watch all the series you had. Sometimes I saw the comments and even though I am new here, but I notice that you got a massive subscribers in Philippines series. The comments become vary and and changing. In previous series, most of comments are quite peaceful but in these series, the comments which dominated by thais and filipinos, they started comparing to each other. To be honest it also affect me to look more on comments than the video itself 😂. Then from the comments, I realize that all ASEAN countries at least have same mentality
1. We are very nationalistic which often create overproud behaviour
2. Overproud behaviour then also create two distinguish habits. Sometimes we started to look superior at countries which look poorer or more disorganized (recently a lot indonesians really like to watch travel vlog in india or slum areas in U.S. It is an eye opening for them and wake up indonesians how thankful they are living in right now). Then in other side overproud behaviour also make some people begin to hate criticisms and only want compliments
So beside your vlogs, I also learned a lot from the comments you get hahaha. Always looking forward for the next trip series. Maybe you are on the way to India right now so I hope you have a nice trip there. I lost my smartphone and had worst experience in India, hope you do not experience the same things such as me.
P.S. Indians have their own online cab application called "ola". Cab in India was much expensive than Gojek or Grab but much safer rather than take public transportation. Hope it helps you for next trip!

It is indeed expensive in El Nido. Literally, everything is expensive.
Please understand that Vietnam, Singapore, and the Philippines are different countries. As much as we want to think and expect that it should be cheaper in the Philippines, there are many factors to be considered. . Electricity and gasoline are expensive in the Philippines, and these two cause inflation. Also, expect that the more remote the area is, the MORE EXPENSIVE the prices are.
When it comes to the accommodation/hostels, if it is less than 1000php, do not expect too much. But for sure there are still a lot of accommodations that offer good quality in the Philippines- but I remember it depends on our expectations and standards.
If you look plain and ordinary (esp. if you are a local or you look like one), some crews will treat you that way ( I experienced that a lot). Or maybe, that crew is not responsible for orders and dealing with customers.

Try visit Nacpan beach in EL Nido. It was hidden Beach it was not crowded it was peaceful & relaxing to stay there. The Underrated beach in Palawan.

As a Filipino, I can understand his sentiments about the high prices of accommodation here. He is not the only vlogger who has observed that. I feel that it is due to the high prices of real estate here which driven by the hype. Beach lot properties are sold at ridiculously high prices now.

The south of Palawan is raw and untouched. Though its quite a challenge to go there for tourists bec it is not yet developed for tourism. El Nido and Coron is indeed the popular one.
And i agree with u, the accomdation is expensive. And most first time Pinoy traveler will prefer to go outside the country than tour the Philippines’ popular destination bec it is expensive.

If you ever come here to the Northern Philippines, specifically to Baguio, I recommend the 3BU hostel, it's only about 500 pesos, it's a sleeping pod, similar to what you have booked there, but quite better... and yes!!! hotels in the Philippines are quite expensive

One thing I hate about traveling here in the PH is the accomodation prices. Hotels are really expensive. When we traveled to Palawan 3 years ago, we were shocked with the prices on the menu. They were quite expensive too. I mean I don't mind paying for good food, kaya lang ung quality hindi akma sa presyo.
That's what you call bad Planning.. what we did first was checking on other bloggers who already went there getting some good tips! so you would end up of good experience..
We had a great time in Puerto Princesa and El Nido. Compared to Puerto Princesa, El Nido doesn't provide many options especially for food.

100% correct regarding quality of accomodation and price in Philippines compared to other parts of Asia and even other cities outside of Asia. Finding quality accomodation will cost you an arm and a leg and if its affordable you will be surprised how terrible it is.
