She nailed it but as an American it's kinda funny to see a Eurovision artist sing my country's national anthem lmao. I think staging and standing out are gonna be crucial here. I trust she can sing well but Georgia's delegation needs to pull out every stop they can.

Agreed. There's a spectrum of girly bop. This is seriously at the great end. Perhaps 'girly bop' is a term that carries connotations of generic music. This is up there with Fuego and Adrenalina for me.

We have too many of this exact style songs this year, heck even the rhythm is not unique this year. It's going to be close to qualify, but if it does all these female solo artists will cannibalize eachother I think.
This is borderline NQ for me, this semi is easily the strongest of the 2 imo and there are 7 sure qualifiers 2/3 dead certs NQFs and this one sits in a group of 6/7 borderline QF for the final 3 slots and I just don't see it doing better than the rest

I like Firefighter. It’s good for the car, the drinks and the dance floor. Will it qualify? The staging has to be on point, as does the performance. Otherwise, I see this getting ate up by Kaleen. Thanks for all fab videos!
I'll admit that my first impression was a bit meh. It's obvious that Georgia wants to qualify and throws everything plus the kitchen sink at it. Everything is at just over 100%, the production, the vocal, the drama, while there's nothing really new here and it doesn't feel very deep That being said, I caught myself humming it a day later. The last minute of the song, where you hear more Georgia in the e production, does make a strong impression, and there's no denying that Nutsa has a great voice and looks like a very commanding performer. The choreo looks pretty slick and thoughtful; let's hope they don't forget to bring it to stage this time. That last tableau of her with the dancers, where they make this almost soldier-like pose, is pretty striking. I think Georgia is definitely in the mix to qualify, although I wouldn't have it locked as I have some others in this semi.
Generally, I quite like this for what it is and it's definitely not a skip. The thing that really irritates me is the lyrics. Some generic stuff which annoy me more than other examples of a similar standard. Will still be listening though!

yea i do think it reaches a point where if you are non-qualfying 6/7/8/9/10 times, its harder to defend staying in to the public. so i think sometimes you need to strategise
I'm really disappointed with this song. I had such high expectations/hopes for Georgia, when I heard the song was written and produced by Darko Dimitrov. He is a north Macedonian songwriter/producer and has made so many amazing songs in the whole balkan and also in eurovision. Like Tamara Todevska - Proud, Arilena Ara - Fall from the Sky, Hurricane - Loco Loco/ Hasta la vista, Vladana - Breath and so on. This man knows what he is doing and he is been killing it. Fire fighter is by far his weakest work I can imagine of his whole tracklist 😶 I'm sorry Goergia, maybe you had to pay him more for a better song but this is a borderline NQ in the strong second semi.
