I will try this, cause you really have to love a good mill. But I already feel like this falls in the same category, as Apxvoid posting some crazy winrate with mage list and then you get 36% with it through 20 games. It's not about the deck, but the skill of the person playing it.
Mill rogue has always been a deck that requires high skill and game knowledge. If you play the deck without the skill then don’t expect to win, but there’s only one way to gain that skill… Keep losing my friends.
@@KALEB32154 I'd say you learn the good of the deck from watching other, better players while you learn what not to do by being bad at the deck yourself.
Had a good win rate so far with this deck, though I lost winnable games when I forgot that scabbs' effects is a combo or when I miscalculate my hand size when duplicating my minions.
Just for your info, the whole mage combo is 8 mana, if they draw literally chandler, apprentice, both evoke elemental, then a first flame and ice block (not rider) then yes, they can go off turn 3/4 (with coin). Evoke twice for 1 mana elemental, 2 mana for apprentice then 1 mana for molten. First flame/second flame their own guy to draw hot streak & molten reflection but they have chances to brick it by drawing both hot streak into ignite or other ice block then they can't molten.
Been a mill fan ever since goblins... I just crafted this deck to replace my old mill rogue. Been thinking, what do you think about DK valeera instead of the hero scabbs? I got killed after turning to scabbs by 2 18/18 buffed charge minions, just as he was in fatigue. It wouldn't have happened with valeera. And DK Val's hero power can also double your mill cards per se for the end game. Just a thought. Essentially, you get an extra stealth turn effect vs an extra vanish effect. I'd rather the stealth effect, but just wondering what you think?
@@RickyMuzakki true. But there are some matches where I need the extra shadow card like against thief rogue (when they add extra cards to their deck) so I can double the amount of oracles in mine. Or go infinite with lab recruiter. Ah well. Thanks for the deck!
I replaced the 2 Gang Up cards with 2 Togwaggles Scheme instead, and now the issue of milling myself to death has gone away completely :) Definitely better than Gang Up
Hey Dane, If somebody wanted to do a stranger-combo deck, but make it look like a Mill Rogue deck, how should they do it? I feel like as Mill Rogue becomes more popular in Wild, it would be a good strategy to pretend to be one, but then hit them with an OTK combo. What would be your recommendation? I feel like a sneaky Mecha-thun Rogue deck pretending to be a Mill Deck could be viable. Keep up the great videos!
Dane, relating to not running lab recruiter, is it not worthwhile including one just to have a third gang up, in effect? It isn’t as good for the reasons you give, of course, but would give flexibility against Lotheb, Brainfreeze and the woman that likes to muzzle magic. Is having a third, albeit worse, copy of Gang Up just not worthwhile?
Look at how he controls his hand size and board space. Recruiter clogs hand, can't prep it out, and messes board space, while only improving matchups for mirror or dmh-like decks? Probably not worth running.
@@feelmypuddle4963 No but Dane had 2 coldlight oracles and shark in hand, Enemy @ 6 cards, so easy to mill it? Maybe I'm being stupid (entirely possible).
assuming both deck are the same, it comes down to what alot of mirror matchups turn into who can make their deck do what is isn't good at. In this case, board control, and face damage. Hitting your opponent for 15 early/midgame normally makes the difference
I'm crushing with mecha'thun rogue, I play one cold light so they always think I'm playing mill.
Can't wait for year 2052, when Mill Rogue is 15 Ice Blocks, 6 different Scabbses, and then Sharks and Coldlights to fill it out.
wow what is this MTG's Commander Format? 40 ways to draw the card combo, 56 things that are mana for the combo + the combo

You'd need a hot streak before the first molten so it costs 1 but yeah it's possible.
It’s incredible how both scabbs are absolutely powerful in this deck
Too bad all three aren’t 😞
Not really. They're both absurd cards
fantastic gameplay. thanks for sharing!
Working from home today and I get a Dane treat on one of my monitors - nice!

Could that mech giant be an option too? I guess not worth making deck less consistent but they would be pretty damn cheap
The mage game gave me nostalgia
great version Dane👍
Seeing Dane pilot this deck is always a treat
About to sleep, Dane uploads. I guess I have time before I go to bed :)

Good, but extra vanish is kinda valuable too. Especially since Scabbs is nerfed now

Pretty sure that mage has uninstalled the game and thrown his/her computer out the window now! Good work Dane as always :)

Maybe stupid question here, but why didnt you mill his kingsbane @11.30ish turn?
It's their entire win condition. If they put it into their deck and Dane could cause it to be overdrawn then that would win on the spot
