    You also have to concede that these "pool balls" [in this Python experiment] have no rotational motion as they would on a real table. This is why upon a half-hit collision they separate from one another at 90 degrees. With one ball having a rotational motion (i.e. the cue ball) a half-hit collision would result in a separation of about 40 degrees due to rotational mass momentum and cloth friction.
