This was a packed episode, there were 10 girl groups alone. That's more than usual. Somebody had to get cut so the show doesn't go overtime. It makes sense to cut from groups that are new and not established yet. Groups with more reputation get priority because TV ratings. It's always like that.

The unknown groups, and rookies that don't attract as much attention and views are the prefect groups to cut from. But I bet they are happy enough that they got to be on the show anyway.
