Bought my LS for 1200 at 224,000 miles. I get about 25 mpg, so not the greatest there. Transmission had been freshly replaced and nothing else other than normal wear like windshield wipers or headlights has crapped out. Car still runs spectacularly at 250,000 miles now. Excellent beater
Bought my 2006, 4 door LS version 5 years ago with 37,000 miles on it for 8,500. I am close to 100,000 miles now. My paint on the interior does NOT look like that. These cars run excellent and handle great! I've only changed tires, battery, windshield wipers and very recently the front wheel bearings (very normal stuff).
You have me curious at this point. I will try and take notice of some of the used cobalts at our local dealer and see if this is a problem. I was going to buy a used 2010 cobalt SS TC yesterday but the dealer wanted $22,000 for it. That's way to much I think. The car had 21000 KM on it. If anyone feels that's not overpriced would you care to let me know.
I have that exact car in white, its a 50/50 deal in my opinion. I paid $11,300 with 44,000 miles so that is VERY overpriced. When it comes to the car it gets okay mpg (mine gets 27), its fast enough, but the interior is very poor quality and the steering box on mine is noisy.
bought the same car..except mine had alloy wheels, sunroof, ans spoiler....oh ya mine was also $2000 less and ya i bought it at a car ship...^ that ones not $10000

Is the wearfing of the paint very common on cobalts?
@Chrispisz12 Not really, I have a 2007 cobalt LT 2 door. My paint didn't wear like that. I only have 45000 KM on it.
Looks cheaps as fuck...
should fit my budget perfectly
