I was at a Wallace seminar like this around 1981. Everyone knows he was fast, but have no idea how much power he had by watching these videos. In person, his roundkick had sick power and speed, like no one I've ever seen. And I had my black belt and trained with some of the best kickers in the world. Wallace was in a class by himself, like Michael Jordan. His ability was freakish. This is important to keep in mind when he's showing some of these techniques here -- only Wallace and maybe a few other people could ever do them. I don't care how hard you train, kicking like he does here is simply not possible for most bodies.
So glad I stumbled upon this, he's a special human being on all levels. I had the pleasure of seeing him in the mid 70s in South Florida, in an "exhibition" fight against a very tough local guy named Glen Melman or Mehlman (sp?). After the first hit by Bill the guy's nose was gushing, the guy rushed in and Bill nailed him repeatedly then backed up with his arms raised like "this guy's had enough" and Glen just kept coming. I had mad respect for both men, it's still vivid in my old mind.
