Searching for "truth" most my life, at 40 was lead to read John, and at John 14:6 realized the truth is a person. The first thing I said after I was saved was a birth cry... "I believe" at the top of my lungs. :) Praise God!
Keep looking into “truth”. Who Jesus says he is and what that encompasses. He is more than we could ever imagine!

Cherry picking for comfort in sin.
Sometimes it absolutely stuns me to hear these people because they say things I used to say. I said those things because I thought they made me "cool" and "open minded". Now, coming up soon on 7 years saved, I am amazed I never saw how silly and fantastical my so-called "beliefs" (another way of saying what I imagined, not what I had solid and lasting belief in) were back then. Praying always for the success of your ministry in the eyes of God, Ray!
Right on point! People deny the truth and make up their own ways thinking they are the open minded ones.
@@EmilGhiurau maybe because we make our own decisions and not have fear (nor believe) any supernatural force exists. I used to and I grew up in having faith, and I never had any other viewpoints. I also didnt want to hear the other side because it was stupid and sinful. Seems like a pretty fixed mindset to me.
If I believe in God and life after death and you do not, and if there is no God, we both lose when we die. However, if there is a God, you still lose and I gain everything.

Also not having religion doesnt mean life us pointless. Life itself is just here to be here. I know that sounds pretty depressing, but I define who I am and I find a purpose to live for.

I was a Christian but / trauma, the world, religion and self led to a huge disconnect that only grew larger.... I would have been in hell proper had I 1 not cried out to God am I being deceived? And 2. He put me in front of the Gospel and then an encounter with Jesus. It has not been easy but God has always been with me.

We were created, by GOD, with evil and sinful DNA. we've been sinning since conception! And will will not stop sinning in thought or deed until we die. we never were completely sinless and had a choice not to sin. we've been doomed from the beginning, never having a choice to do anything except to sin! And in doing this, GOD is now going to send me to hell for doing what I was designed to do, SIN! Why did GOD set it up this way? HE should have given everyone a chance not to sin, to obey or not to obey, then we would have had true freewill. Then HE would be justified in condemning those who disobeyed. And grant everlasting life to those didn't. Instead I get thrown in hell for being what I was created to be, a full-fledged sinner! Not fair!

@@arc001 It isn't that there is insufficient evidence of God, it's the unwillingness to accept that evidence. God is proven in all creation, but in observable truth beyond a shadow of a doubt the most compelling evidence is in Jesus Christ Himself. Any true scholar who is objective in their research will not deny the historicity of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus as laid down in the historical record by historians of the first century, that themselves were both Pagans and Jews, not Christians. The sheer amount of eye witness accounts, held with such conviction that many faced being cast off from society or even horrific execution rather than recant their testimony, speaks to the veracity of their claims. The point is, since Jesus is real, and the testimony of Him is true, then all He was teaching should be taken very seriously, which all points to God and His word also being true. Of course the loudest voices are often those who are biased against God, so real, honest research would be necessary to come to a truly informed decision, but unfortunately most would rather take the word of someone who provides the desired conformation bias over observable data. And then, care must still be taken because observable data can also be manipulated and misrepresented, and often is. Jesus said that all who seek the truth will come to Him, but most people simply want to invent their own truth, which can quickly become a situation like a man standing on a rooftop claiming that he can fly, while everyone who knows he can't is pleading with him not to jump off. Thus we have men like Ray Comfort who plead with others to listen to reason, and believe the truth of Jesus Christ.

This was so good Ray, I love your style. I have heard all these objections and you have demonstrated so many tools to use when I hear them.
Apparently today is International Praise Jesus day! So I went through all the old new age pages I was still following on Facebook and commented a short testimony and then left the group or page. On an atheist one, I immediately got angry comments before I could even hit leave group lol. I don't miss that whatsoever but will deal with atheists irrational hatred and anger just for the opportunity to plant a seed. And oddly enough, one of the verses I quoted in my comments is about the truth making you free and who Christ sets free is free indeed. I keep getting small confirmations like that and I take it as the Lord reassuring me cause I can get pretty overwhelmed just trying to save people's souls. You'd think I was the one throwing them in hell or that I killed their kitten or something! Lol but anyways, God bless you all!! I love all my brothers and sisters in Christ so much! 🙂✝️

I was raised in the Roman Catholic Church ways & I always wondered why I was sooooo confused & lost, running wild.
My mother meant well since she was from the much older Italian generation & that is all she knew.
My father said he saw Jesus in the clouds during WW2, he & his fellow marines were overseas they had to use a machine
to dig a part of a mountain out & the machine was going to fall off the cliff with the marine in it and then all of a sudden
they saw Jesus in the Clouds ✝🌄
My dad was a very quiet man, raised 5 children working as a maintenance man with a 10th grade education, he was not
religious at all, because he knew Yeshua was not in the Church with the Priests...Yeshua is Everywhere!!!

I don't really find it cringey, I just find it sad. People love the ways of the world, and really struggle with giving it up. They don't WANT to believe in God and Jesus, because if they did they'd have to stop doing a lot of the things they do on a daily basis, they'd have to change. But they still want happiness and joy, so they make themselves believe in things that aren't real that still allow them to do bad things. Like believing in reincarnation, that you just have to be a good person, and you'll be reborn as anything you want to be reborn as. Yet they can't define "good". Stealing, lying, adultering and other bad deeds are things nearly all of us do, none of us are good, as Ray said. I just hope that they will find their way into the light, so that they can find their true home with God.
I also struggle with giving up secular things and fully giving my time to God. I'm getting better at it, but I still have a long way to go. I was a very lukewarm Christian, and wasn't aware of how many things in secular life are just distractions. I always did (and still kind of do) find myself reading books or watching series and as soon as I finished them I felt like I needed to read something or watch something else. But I finally recognize that the only thing we really need is God's word, the Bible.
Ray should have asked "Who makes the final decision about what kind of animals you'll get reincarnated into?"

Funny how people think they will just go to the Gospel if they choose to on a whim. The Bible says there are NONE who seek for God and Jesus says, no one CAN come to me unless my Father draws them. If you are truly seeking God then that is ONLY Because God is seeking you first and drawing you to His Son. It seems different from our perspective but from God's perspective it's God who saves and God ALONE. We freely choose according to our nature and our nature is Hell bent against God unless a radical change takes place and only God can do that, not us saying yes or no. Thank you Ray for bringing the Gospel to all creatures, you are such a blessing. I thank God for raising you up to be an inspiration to me, for one and so many more and so much more.

2. Mark Twain was assuming you would understand his point by his use of language, but as you obviously haven’t, I’ll rephrase it: I’m not afraid of not existing. I didn’t exist for billions of years before I was born and that wasn’t too bad.
1. You can’t help it if you don’t believe in something, especially if there is no evidence for it. There is evidence for the sun if you look at it… you can see it. If I told you there was a giant teapot on the other side of the sun, you probably would not believe me, as you would not have any evidence to support it, only my word, which is not reliable.

Death literally means: separated from God. As Christians we will never see death Jesus said. We pass away, it is very different.

God didn't choose a Jewish person to be His son. He became a Jewish person to fulfill His promise to crush the head of Satan and provide salvation to the descendents of Abraham, the Jewish people, and then everyone else, and me.
So anointed
Jewish means we are children of God. Christians are adopted Jews. We aren't born Jews in the natural, as Jews are. .

Abraham was a Gentile, father of those who are faithful to God (Rom 4:16), and great grandfather of Judah ( from which the term "Jew" originates.) According to scripture "For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision something that is outward in the flesh, someone is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is of the heart by the Spirit and not by the written code. (Romans 2:29)
Abraham, and subsequently the Jews, were chosen to be set apart, distinct from the rest of the world, so Jesus could eventually become flesh from a mother of the lineage of Abraham.
Jesus came to make us the spiritual Jew, the circumcised of heart. The ones He has set apart from the world; the ones who follow His Commandments and who are going to the Promised Land of Eternal Life. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my Commandments. Ray Comfort gets it.
Errr, nope … God chose a believer to bring the message to the Pharisee, the Sadducee and the rest of the world.. Jesus himself despised the ‘den of vipers’ so he was a follower of Abraham and not the follower of ‘Jews’, who were a sect in the Old Testament..
@@franceleeparis37Jesus was not a "believer." He IS God! He was not a follower of Abraham. He IS the Creator of Abraham. But then you must be a believer to understand that concept.

I love to pray for those you interview. I usually answer that Jesus is God in a human body rather than He came in the flesh, which is rather an old English word.

Ray didn't answer the lady's question. Really.
Perhaps because the answer is all throughout the old testament from Adam and his whole long line that leads to Mary, but not Joseph. God's chosen people begins with God having created Adam and placing him in the garden. Christ is a descendant on Mary's side and the Holy Spirit caused her to be with child.
God did not choose some random Jew.
It would take a pretty long time to help this woman grasp it with a language difficulty between them, i think.

I listen to Ray Comfort every day to hear all the people's different ways to fight hard to want to keep their sin in their lives. Ray, another thing you can say for justification that I never hear you use is our finger prints. It blows my mind when I go out or look at a football stadium and think, "Every person that I can see has a different fingerprint." Only God is capable of accomplishing this. If we evolved from the sea, wouldn't that process still be happening just the same as pregnancy as God intended? Or if we came from apes, wouldn't you continue to see that process, again, the only reproductive process we see is the one God intended and that's pregnancy. But fingerprints blow my mind, you should use it in your work with non believers. I love your work!

As a believer, I am still shocked to see how many people who have almost zero knowledge of the Bible. Even the older woman, you would think, would have SOME sort of knowledge of Who God is.
I knew that lady was German! But i am more convinced after this point 14:00.....daughter of the old German murderers...I've got to remember she is valuable too, and if there's something that rubs me the wrong way...i need to look at it...I've just been humbled. Ray....you are right. We all need to understand in the beginning just how vast is the abyss that sin puts between us and HIM...only the cross can fill it sufficiently. Thank you dear sir.

You really can't use the Bible to prove the Bible. That's basically reasoning. "The Bible is true because it says it is". Many books claim to be true but aren't.
Now, you can use things from the Bible as a starting point to prove elsewhere. For example, using details in the Bible about Bethesda to then search through archaeological evidence to prove that it really existed.
I do believe that the Bible is true, but using the Bible ti prove itself will not be very successful at convincing non-believers, and it probably shouldn't be.
The exception might be to infer the reliability of the Bible by looking at prophecies that have cone true, but that would still rely on history to show that it happened.
Only newbies/wannabe evangelists - who haven't tried speaking to a hard-core skeptic - will take Ray Comfort's tips as foolproof or gold standard!

Ray is such an amazing evangelist. There are not that many pastors or evangelists out there that would take their time to share the gospel with God's people. Everyone has a chance of coming back to God, you just have to teach them, then someday they might come back to salvation, and I really appreciate him doing it. I Thank God for people like him and others who share the gospel.
What do you do with Christians who don't believe in Hell? Unfortunately there's too many of them these days!
