Nice update Nick, should be quite an upgrade from the Mavic 3 Pro! Very interested in the electronic ND filter, game changer for sure! Hope you're keeping well 👍
Hi Pete, nice to hear from you, hope you are good (and over the man flu 😅). We're all good here thanks and yes, the electronic ND sounds promising...as do all the other specs. I've just watched your last few videos, great content 👍. Steam trains, ferry chasing and I love the grabber for your underwater exploits. Oh, and the pieces to camera are superb! Keep up the great work 👌✌️👏
@ thank you Nick, appreciate your kind words! 😁All good here, mostly over the man flu, just trying to pin down my next video - working around the weather in particular! I love making the videos, just trying to work on my editing more and make interesting content; work in progress! Very interested to hear if you do decide on the new drone, will keep my eyes out for more of your videos 😄 All the best Nick, have a great Christmas 👍🏻
I'm pretty sure I will upgrade. With those specs, it should last for many years. Happy Xmas to you and yours too and let's hope for more (or at least some) blue skies in 2025!
100mp sensor with only 6k video? That's a TON of pixel binning to get that pixel count down to 6k. 14 stops of dynamic range? No chance in Hell. No way, no how, under no circumstances. It's safe to bet your life on that. Even the very best, cutting-edge large full-frame chips struggle to reach 14 stops. Yes, some do but most don't. DJI is exaggerating big on that and should be VERY careful to make claims that wild in writing on a "tiny" MFT sized sensor.
All good points 👍 I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I've no doubt the drone will be amazing but I'll be waiting a few weeks before shelling out for one (and waiting for real world feedback from real consumers).
I'm worried about this rumoured rcpro 2 controller. If this is the only controller with a screen available for this drone, it will not be a good drone to carry with you for long hikes. Indeed, just the larger size of the drone and everything else seems to be a issue for those who would like to make a long walk with a fly more kit. I'm also wondering about how many batteries they will ship with the fly more combo. (3?, 2?). Thank you for the review!
Thanks for your comment and yes, that controller is pretty big! Maybe we can still use the old one with it and I think the standard 3 batteries will come with it. Perhaps get yourself a Mini 4 Pro or Air 3s for those long hikes 😉 although it's additional cost...
@@NickStubbs so, I already have a mini 3, mavic 3 v1, Air 3. If the price of Mavic 4 is not prohibitive in Brazil (and It Will be hahaha) maybe the Mavic 4 would be my next best choice for an upgrade
Why do people put music over informative videos where the whole point is to deliver information? Why are you competing with random sounds? Knock it off. Geez
Some people like ambient noise, others like silence. Tomaida Tomada 😉✌️. Your comment has been duly noted and will be taken into consideration. I'm on the fence myself TBH. #testingthewaters #merrychristmas
"52 minutes", 2/3 in real circumstances does mean a maximum of fly distance 15 km (15km away and 15 km back). This would be a very very good performance! The adventage of the new transmission system could be better video quality on a bigger display on the new "RC2"? 😀
Wondering why they would change from the always used 24mm to a less-wide 28mm. I really like having the wider angle of a 24mm. Not liking 100MP meaning smaller pixel sizes. I like that the aperture now goes to f/2 but we need the specs of the other two cameras.
Agreed re the aperture and other cameras. As for the 28mm lens and sensor, it's all a bit "out there" and if nothing else, it's got us all talking. Great marketing 😉👍
the one already newly released dji Drones are impossible to find here in market. at this point it’s useless to talk about any other rumors at least for dji drones!
Indeed. However, I think the rumour mill will ramp up now as we near release. All we can do is speculate (and follow @jasperellens on X ; ) at this point
What else would I need...how about a 1" sensor on the 166mm camera. I shoot mainly stills and I need more than the 12mp file...give me 20mp at least!!!
I am curious as to how the second and or 3rd camera specs didn't release with these others when these details first leaked a few days ago? I heard a possible wild RUMOUR totally speculative from one of the Drone sites claim that the camera housing is actually a disguise, and inside it could be a single unit with a 28-70mm optical range. I also wonder if they will use a quad bayer sensor which will then pixel bin the 100MP images down to 25MP or similar, as 100MP native on a M4/3 seems quite a stretch without a shed load of noise, especially at low light unless they are using some computational editing on the processor, I really hope not.
Great comments and definitely food for thought. What about going back to the old dual camera layout with the main camera being, like you say, a 28-70mm optical zoom and the second being the updated 166mm with a 1" sensor? Now that would be cool! Even though the quality of the 166mm on the Mavic 3 Pro Cine is slightly sub-par, I can make it work through Topaz and because that lens would rarely be used, it's a workflow I can live with. Good thoughts re the sensor too. Knowing DJI I am sure this will be something a bit special what with AI being in full swing. I guess we will just have to wait and see. I was thinking of selling the Mavic 3 Pro Cine when it comes out but now I think I may keep both depending on the final specs of the 4. Cheers.
You may well be right but like the previous commenter said, maybe we're being thrown red herrings. I also read somewhere that it may be an APS-C sensor but I very much doubt that. I'm hoping that DJI have been paying close attention to all the comments of the past 18 months on the Mavic 3 Pro and are addressing them. Bigger sensors on the 3x and 7x cameras (if they still exist) would be a start. We'll have to wait and see...
I've heard rumours that it starts at £/$2,200 for the Pro with one battery. I'm guessing the Pro Fly More will be around £2,600-£2,800 and the Pro Cine between £4,200 and£4,500. But I'm just estimating based on past prices.
Please, stop your car and start your review. Safety 1st, thank you.
Message pinned for others to see.
Of course. I've never done that before and someone else said the same thing so message received and understood 👍✌️😎

YW 👍
What I really miss is a Thermal Camera so I can inspect IR radiation!!
When will it come and what specs will it have?
I don't think it will have that but we should hear more fairly soon no doubt 👍

I agree. You never hear music when people are delivering news. Very disturbing
Note to self: No more background music in informative videos 🤔
I hope its not 28mm thats a terrible idea, I was thinking they would just make the aperture smaller and improve the 2 tele lenses
Indeed, and improving the 2 tele lenses is my biggest hope.

Let's hope so. Really looking forward to this drone. More than any for a long time 👍
hello, M4 pro, can the gimbal rotate and make a True Real vertical shooting??
I think it's 90 degrees down and 85 degrees up. Maybe even pan a little left and right...

Hope there's at least 4k vertical on this. Such a disappointment that it wasn't included on the Air 3S.
Agreed, and like I've said before, I hope that vertical comes in the form of 6k open gate but I guess we'll have to wait and see...
@ open gate would be fantastic. All the potential features look worthy of an upgrade though!
Yep. I'm trying to decide on the best time to put my Mavic up for sale (although I may sell a kidney and keep both...).
OC4+ what is that? Is it going to work with the RC 2?
OcuSync 4 is the transmission system and this will have a huge, powerful range...and I hope so.

Low light and rolling shutter will suck on 100MP sensor.

it wont be 100mp sensor, it will probably somewhere in the 24 megapixel range with pixel shift to give it 100mp, like what phones do

More MP is good for photos, not for video. If they wait to unleash it in April, willl be too late and locked out of the US
Nah, the DJI ban is dead - for 2025.
