- This is my medley arrangement of some of my favorite songs in the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series:

I started a Memories Returned arrangement a few years ago but never finished it. After redoing it recently and adding more elements, I was able to see how far I've come as a musician throughout the years. These songs have been a big part of my inspiration with all of the music i create so it was nice going back to finally finish this!

Holy hell, I'm actually starting to tear up.
How long has it been...? How long since I last saw everyone I played this game with...? And even now, after all this time, I still treasure the memories, I still feel the sorrow, I still taste the victories. The sorrowful and the sweet, both preserved forever.
That's the power of a great game.

@@Pikabata me too! I can never forget not being able to wait to play this after getting out of class in 5th grade (Blue Rescue Team). Staying up after bedtime to play when I was in 7th grade (Explorers of Time/Darkness) 19 now still haven't forgotten finally got a 3DS (Super Mystery Dungeon) Beautiful! Bravo! Bravo! I'm tearing up rn.. Gotta get my Partner back in Super I'll do whatever it takes!

This has not only become my favorite Pokémon, but it become my favorite game of all time. The characters are memorable, the gameplay was fun and very challenging at times giving an balance in difficulty, amazing music only rivaling sonic in terms of soundtracks and has the best story in any pokémon game. I played it when I was younger, but couldn't finish it back then and thus lost the game on the R4 card along with my ds XL. After 8 years I finally got the game again for real and reunited with it and could finnaly complete the main story. I cried through the entire ending when I saw it. Aside of the ending of gti and jirachi's goodbye and ending in jirachi wish maker, this is the only time I cried from a game and was on the brink of breaking into tears when in the flashbacks from your adventure.

2:05 I loved the transition between Memories of You (PMD 2) and the Partner’s theme (PMD 4) Not only fits so well, but also makes you feel and care for the fate of the characters... I’ll now go to cry in a corner c:

I was literally a Riolu and my partner was "skitty" on my first run of the game.
That artwork is one of the most precious and most adorably heartwarming things I've ever seen in my life.

Sometimes while studying I'll be browsing some new music, encountered this, and just.... wow. This is now one of my favourite PMD orchestrations I've heard. The way the theme's transition, and how the melody is played at times in such a beautifully haunting way. This I would personally classify as a masterpiece, I am astounded. Incredible work you've done, you've got yourself a new sub.

this game with this music is my #1 avenue for meditation as the themes are made in such a way they sometimes cause emptyness of mind
This song just makes me grieve my dads death and more than half of my family splitting after.
At this point i only care about those i have left behind and it makes me really want to reincarnate into this videogame just to feel the music telepathically enter my soul with every good song from this game if VR cant do this for me reincarnation can
I really want to be a riolu in this game in my next life as the story feels like a retelling of a shintoist reincarnation myth where a hero of an alien species from another dimension turned into the native species and saved their world from destruction
Memories returned is always such a gut punch... but it's one I'm happy to endure time and time again...
Holy heck I saw this cuz I used to play pokemon super mystery dungeon on the DS until it broke and when I saw this I immediately clicked it this really brings back memories thank you

I played as an Eevee and had pikachu as my partner and it hurt when i finished the campain, because i didnt want the story to end, this song makes me both happy and sad at the same time

Omg it's been ages. This is once again beautiful, especially the beginning as I love memories returned. I love the fullness(?) due to the other instruments playing alongside the piano and other motifs from PMD 2 sprinkled here and there. Stunning work pika

oh man I am not looking forward to this Friday, its been four years since I beat Explorers of Sky and I feel its about time to relive the fantastic game...and streaming it in hopes that more people can discover this amazing game....fantastic medley, Memories Returned is still one of my favorite tracks from the ending suite (as I love to call it), I mean all of the songs that made up the ending were tear jerking and just amazing...but the scene where Memories Returned is played is just extra sad
Skitty and riolu were my best starters in PMD explorers of sky.. I myself as skitty and a partner Riolu.. i still have it in my emulator.. but i feel like I want to replay the whole thing soon.. thanks to this arrangement.... its so beautiful...

I’m shocked that the old game is still getting much attention. The music, nostalgia, and great story can really make someone tear up.
We might be a small fragment of the pokemon community but we always will be here enduring and this song shows it.
I wish I could believe that completely, but if PMD ever goes mainstream, the fans will come here in droves. They'll say they like these games too. Then they'll demand that it be "improved". Chunsoft will change everything that made it special.
And we'll get shoved aside like the hipsters we are.

Small but not small enough to where it's completley dead. we get a new game evrey 3-4 years and honestly, that's all I really ask for. part of me wishes that more people knew about this amazing franchise, but then again, if that were the case then the games would start to be less and less special to accomidate for such a large audience. like how pmd explorers of sky covers the theme of giving up yor own life to save others, and in super you literaly die and get sent to a hell-like demention. You just can't have that in a game that gets major attention nowadays, especialy in a pokemon game, wich supposedly "should be for kids". So they'd make the plots more kid/society friendly, put more "moderate" themes in the stories. And while that's completley understandible, I also played these games as a kid. It makes the story feel more real, like what you do actualy matters instead of "oh well evreything will be ok in the end because that's how it always works". In real life, people die, people you trust will betray you for their own gain, and something could happen to someone you love and be gone forever (or in this life at least). And I personaly feel like pmd does a great job of balencing thease ups and downs in the story to reflect what real life is like, wich is why people like me can relate to it on an emotional level.
