Wings was the one song from Volume 1 that I didn't like, but this--very nice. Peaceful. 😌 👌 Beautiful vocals, soothing percussion, and less dramatic. It feels more personal and heart-felt.
This feels like when Katy Perry went from I think regular Pop/RnB with a lot of energy into darker and slower, which I didn't like. When hearing Jeff was retiring and miss Casey including that band song in volume 8 I was worried, turns out... when the weird kingdom hearts like ending song in volume 9 to the weird whisper section in volume 9 opening. My fears came true. This is a first time that I listened to all these songs in a volume and I... didn't like a single one. It is honestly shocking and a first. (Sigh): Just my opinion. Perhaps it is bias due to me not liking Volume 9, I had hoped the songs at least would turn it around...
Bro this is first time we've gotten songs that sound like they have some soul and passion to them since like vol 5-6 (Hero from 7 was pretty good tho) and you didn't like ANY of them??? That's sucks... Plus for me Vol 9 has been the best volume since 3 personally.
People in a rush to defend the album when someone says they happen to not like it..... Not every album will be liked by every fan. It do be like that sometimes. Personally, I think its a banger, but that doesn't mean everyone does.
My only issue is that that Red Like Roses 3 doesn't really sound like a part 3 of the song trilogy. It just sounds like its own song. Like, when you listen to Part 1 and 2 back to back, the transition from 1 to 2 is so smooth it just sounds like one long song rather than one song ending and another beginning. You don't have that with part 3. It just sounds like a new song with a Red Like Roses cameo in it. I guess that's why it's also called Guide My Way instead of simply just Red Like Roses 3. Still slaps regardless, though.
Those last few seconds of the song when you realize that 24 year old Casey is singing with 12 year old Casey.... 😭😭😭
I'm not usually one for remixes on the RWBY soundtrack but in this case I'll make an exception.
you can definitely tell how much Casey has matured vocally especially listening to a lot of the original songs and their remixes
Wings has always been one of my favorite songs of the series. This is everything the original was and more. Now we just need an EDM remix.
I might like this more than the original actually. This is really solid.
Me: Oh man I can't wait for volume 10!
Somebody random: Sorry kid No more RWBY Rooster teeth was shut down.
Me: Don't remind me!😭
I've got news for you

I can just imagine wby and jaune (specifically Blake) singing this to ruby as a reassuring lullaby.
Pure nostalgia ❤
