- Controversial reboot version by director Kazuya Shiraishi, who is always seeking for the intense “human” and “violence” dramas.
The main cast is Hidetoshi Nishijima who played in the "DRIVE MY CAR" (won the prize on Academy Award for Best International Feature Film), and Tomoya Nakamura who is a talented young actor.
It will be coming to amazon prime video in autumn 2022!!

It's like the producers said to themselves, "The kids who watched the original Kamen Rider Black are all grown up now, so let's treat them like grown-ups."
Color me intrigued.
Basically what Ishinomori was also thinking when he did Shin in the early 90s.
They did the right thing.
I believe that Shinichiro Shirakura even commented on how Masked Rider failed when Black and Black RX were adapted in 1995 and joked this project was Toei’s “payback” to Saban lmao.
To be fair the original Kamen Rider Black that was aired while it was toned down a lot comparing to the manga (so that kids can watch it), the plot/theme wise was still quite mature.
As a kid it was awesome watching the fighting and action essentially perceiving it as a cool hero vs monsters show, but it was only until older that one would truly begin appreciate the seriousness and the events of the story, and understanding the pain and suffering of the characters (Kotaro in particular).

I'm getting some great X-Men vibes from this narrative of Kaijin coexisting or warring with humanity. I'm looking forward to this adaptation!

I've been craving this kind of production quality for rider and damn its so fresh that it doesn't feel like the main tv shows or even amazons. It have those gangster/yakuza vibes which I'm all for it and they frickin got Yo Yoshida, thats insane!

I can barely wait to see this, the new plot an the idea to Kaijin coexisting with humans are amazing. I can't wait to see the raiders in action

@@Raximus3000 well my friend, i know what a rider is, but if you watch The trailer ypu'll see that The kaijin aren't regular monster that appear only to fight, by the trailer they seem to be like imajin in den-o or Orphnochs from faiz that live among humans, but unlike those series, the kaijin seems to leave free, not hiding from humans, but excluded in ghettos. Very different from the original gorgons in kamen rider black.
@@Raximus3000 if you watch it again, you'll see that the trailer is trying to sell the idea that this kaijin aren't all bad, just suffering from people's attitudes and fighting for their own rights. The new Black might be the center of this political fight, protecting humans from kaijin that rebel and still fighting for their rights to be equal to humans

Kamen Rider Amazons is one of the absolute peaks of the series, so I am very excited to see if Black Sun can do the same thing.
This is how Kamen Rider story should be, i gonna watch this series because it is interesting.

Wow, so they’re actually further emphasizing the mutant subplot from the original show!
In the orginal Black, it was implied that most of the mutants were humans expiremented just like Minami. One episode involving a college professor, was actually a mutant trying to live as a human. Before Golgom made him a mutant permanently and Minami killing him..
Minami never gave a thought regarding the morality of killing humans or the thought of curing them. The only exception was a Whale Mutant and the Shellfish mutant. So it’s interesting to see where this goes.
Wait, they were mutants? I thought they were cyborgs that took on characteristics of animals like in previous Kamen Riders (except Amazon)
this is look so promising & i'm glad they finally embrace the 90's 'organic' look of kaijin rather than 'modern' mechanized design like KR The First & KR Amazons.
I liked the way they did Kaijin in The First and The Next (since they're supposed to be Shocker and Destron Cyborgs).
But the ZO / J "organic" style fits Kamen Rider Black more.
Makes sense for the Ichigo reboot films since the enemies are *supposed* to be cyborgs, but Black is straight fantasy
The first few Amazons weren't mechanical though

I watched Kamen Rider Black and Rx recently because of the first teaser for this movie. Im a sentai fan but I fell into a rabbit hole of kamen rider stuff and now I cant wait for this show/movie ? The story looks interesting and the quality of the show looks really cool and grown up in a way so it’s going to be interesting seeing Kamen Rider stuff through that lens.

Man...I loved the Kamen Rider V3 shows in the early 80's....them the days.
Here in indonesia black and rx was my first kamen rider series i watch in my childhood and most every other children during the 90s era in indonesia (yeah i know.. its much late than in japan) wich is a very lit back then. and now toei do the mature theme of black. Woah its so exciting. I wonder how the battle hopper looks like (if they do). I remember how i cry like an idiot when shadowmoon slay that battlehopper.. such emotional damage for a kid
And there's that moment when Nobuhiko Akizuki/Shadow Moon 🌙 *have (seemingly) killed Kohtaro Minami/Kamen Rider Black* tho...😭😭😭
My time was the first two, later altogether the first five. One of them can see half his face, looks weak.

Man this is not some any ordinary tokutatsu! The acting is beyond new higher level!!!
This is curious for me; who are the High Priests of Golgrom while is this storyline going to be somewhat and somehow similar to the KR Amazons version as violence to gore and deadliness of the old Black's storyline and any chances of Black RX might rise from space monstrosities that are invading earth and only one is trying to save every single living beings on earth from devastating threats
I love these new grounded and realistic takes in classic Toku… The Shin series and the Amazon series are really enjoyable and I can’t wait to see more !

Uma versão atualizada iria contar EXATAMENTE a msm história, APENAS fazendo mudanças técnicas - tamo falando de uma série de 35 anos atrás, tecnologia tva bem atrás - e UMA OU OUTRA mudança de roteiro q fosse MUITO NECESSÁRIA p se ajustar a essa nova "roupagem" q a série vai usar. O q, por td q foi liberado até agora de material promocional gráfico e audiovisual, n parece ser o caso.
