I don’t ever rewatch it for the same reason I don’t rewatch Psycho Pass. Because I’d enjoy rewatching SAC a lot more. In SAC, the Major falls flat compared to Batou and Togusa when all characters are given some time to be explored. Especially those final episodes of SAC when they’re fugitives. The Major is just another one of Masamune Shirow’s Mary Sue characters. I respect Arise’s attempt to make her a flawed human character, but I feel they went a bit too far for a character that’s meant to be a war veteran. The film feels like a more balanced character, just but impulsive, determined but curious. I could say a lot more, but it would just be praising SAC.
That's a great point of why Arise isn't as fondly remembered as SAC or the movie. Even if its good or even great, its not as good/great as what came before it. Someone might like all of them, but with the finite time we are afforded, why would someone watch the less good version of something? I have to agree with this as even though I thought Arise was great fun, I would still rather re-watch SAC simply because its all around better. In this way Arise kind of suffers from the fact its an entry in the Ghost in the Shell universe.
@@obscureanimememories6697 studios will just keep on making entries to a franchise until it flops, then spur away on original content in hopes they get lightning in a bottle, or pick up a promising manga or novel instead to adapt the plot of. GitS is an odd case of a loose concept being adapted, with original plot, but I consider it just as lucky of a hit as Darker than Black.
Sorry about that. I did so many takes I didn't notice the microphone was having recording issues until I finally got a take I liked. At that point I cut my losses.
now i dare you to watch SAC 2045
oh no
I hope to one day, as even if its a complete disaster, that would probably still be interesting.

Put the title of the anime in quotation marks cuz it looks weird. Imma watch this l8er so it's just a simple suggestion
I love the Oshii films and SAC, but absolutely despise ARISE.
everyone is a critic.
Yep. Thanks for watching!
Fix your mic and the sound processing of your voice.

I bet you think you're real clever with that video title.
Not particularly
