Thanks! Three more Insomnium covers are done and ready, as well as a Be'lakor one. I just need to prepare the videos. An Insomnium cover (very soon) is going to be the next... :)
Here I simply use 11-54 set... it's rather thin for this tuningt but delivers satisfactory results for my guitar. Short scale guitars have problem with low tuning, that is common. I've found out that thick strings sets doesn't always bring the best result. Other solution is to, tune your guitar to something like D tuning with 10-52 or so string set which is easier to set up, then use a pitchshifter to B standart. (which is -3 semitones). If intonation is good, pitched sound should be ok enough.
what scale is your guitar? for lower tunings longer scales tend to bring better results. Simply because the string tension varies significantly depending on the scale. If it's a regular les paul, 13-62 is too thick. You probably need to raise the action and set the truss rod accordingly. Also you might need to check your nut file. If strings are buried too deep in, you cannot recover from that simply by raising the action. That will make 12th fret and onwards unplayable...
Hello Christian, sorry for the late reply, haven't been able to log in lately. You can use it however you want, let me know when it is done so that I can check it out. Good luck.
Thank you :)
