Just learned on another comment, its pin 13 on the board I bought this week (7/31/2021). Worked like a charm, still got Hard resetting via RTS pin... message.
Looks like IFTTT pulled Maker out of the standard applets into something called IFTTT Platform. So this would need some minor updates. Still a great getting started video; getting connected to Wifi with the Huzzah was painless, thanks to your video.
Thanks for the very clear, concise and professional explanation and tutorial. I have been working on my project for a while and have been stuck. I think the Adafruit Feather might be the solution. My project starts with a button input that I want to generate a tone (I2S perhaps) or square wave that will play on an iPhone or Android. Do you freelance or can you give me a direction to proceed? Thanks, Joel
FYI - The Adafruit code can be found here: learn.adafruit.com/adafruit-huzzah-esp8266-breakout/using-arduino-ide#connecting-via-wifi And the Webhooks does work (thanksTheAJMchannel) - and with HTTPS. After creating your applet, Go to ifttt.com/maker_webhooks and click "Documentation" next to the settings gear (under your username, top right). Below the section "Make a POST or GET web request to:," enter your event name in the {event} brackets (it'll update). Then copy the URL. Replace the text in the quotes (String url = "/testwifi/index.html") with the full URL that has your trigger in it. Something like this... maker.ifttt.com/trigger/feather_b/with/key/b4ndslgobetlyAwgookUIthisFHismN0ttImy4keynb As mentioned... change your delay to something greater than 500 (half a second). At least make it 5000 (5 seconds).
Hi, tried this but although the IDE terminal says "Congratulations! You've fired the feather_a event", the applet took about 25 mins to acknowledge this. BTW, I had got the syntax wrong of the String URL until I saw your example :-P Great work! :-)
How did u get the Slab to your radio no to show in ports mine don't show it. I installed the driver. Mine is a new board did you flash your prior to this video

Thank you! This was fun and helpful.
Thanks for sharing. I would love to know/understand what the difference is between the Huzzah and the Mo feathers.
