Can I suggest trying out a flush trim jig on a palm router. Since I've made one its made inlays and flushing off dowel soo satisfying. Almost dont need to sand some times with one.

Stanley Fatmax Thru Tang, nothing fancy but gets the job done. I plan on upgrading them at some stage but other tools to buy first!
